Coaching centres and tutors · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the exam and the locality before the results are announced.

Search engine optimisation for a coaching centre decides which institute a parent finds when searching for a class, an exam and an area. GullySales builds a page for each batch you actually run, separates parent searches from students hunting free notes, and gets them ranking before results week.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For coaching centres and tutors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A page that starts ranking in June is a year late”

Admissions are decided in a fortnight and a new page takes months to be trusted. The work belongs in the term, when nobody is enquiring.

  • “A syllabus search is not an admission”

Question papers, syllabus changes and answer keys bring enormous traffic from students with no fee to pay. The parent's search has a locality in it.

  • “Class, board and area belong in the same heading”

A page headed tuition classes competes with everybody. A page headed Class 10 CBSE maths tuition in your own area competes with four centres.

  • “You will not take the exam name from the chains”

National institutes have spent years on the plain entrance keyword. The version with your suburb in it is still winnable and brings families who can reach you.

What we do

What we deliver for coaching centres and tutors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for every batch you actually run

Timings, the teacher, the board or exam, how the fee is structured and a demo booking, on a page per batch rather than a course list.

Result: A parent finds the batch the child needs, with its start date.

  2. Locality wording in the title and the heading

The area a family would say out loud, used in the page title and first heading and matched to the Business Profile for that branch.

Result: A search with an area in it finds the right branch.

  3. Search terms split between parents and students

Every phrase marked as a fee-paying parent's search or a student's study query, so effort goes to the pages that fill batches.

Result: You stop writing for an audience that cannot enrol.

  4. A build calendar working back from results week

Pages written and published during the term so they have months of standing before the fortnight when families decide.

Result: The pages are already ranking when the rush starts.

  5. Result and selection claims checked before publishing

Any rank, score or selection on a page evidenced, used with the student's written consent, and read by your own adviser against current coaching advertisement rules.

Result: Nothing on the site is a claim you would have to withdraw.

  6. Position and enquiries reported by course page

Where each batch page sits and what it produced, set against the enquiry baseline recorded before work started.

Result: You can see which course page is worth expanding.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches parents and students type

What a parent types before choosing a class, and the page that answers it.

NEET coaching for droppers near me
A batch page. State eligibility, the batch plan, test series, faculty and how a demo class is booked. Droppers and parents read the plan, so write it plainly.
class 10 CBSE maths tuition in Banashankari
A page that joins class, subject, board and area. Give the batch timings, the teacher, how doubt classes work and how progress is shared with parents.
KCET coaching fees
A fee page. Explain how fees are structured, what they include, how instalments work and what the refund policy says. Parents search this before they call, so write it in the open.
IELTS coaching weekend batch
A batch page for working adults. Show the days and hours, the modules covered, mock tests and how a student books the test. Say what the course does not include.
bank PO coaching for SBI and IBPS exams
An exam page. List the stages of the exam, how your course maps to each, the mock test routine and the faculty. Avoid result claims unless you can show the source.
best physics teacher for class 12
You cannot claim best. Give the teacher a page: qualifications, years teaching, the batches taken and a short lesson clip, so a parent can judge for themselves.

Who it is for

This is written for these coaching centres and tutors.

  • School tuition centres for CBSE, ICSE and state boards
  • Home tutors and individual subject teachers
  • JEE and NEET entrance coaching institutes
  • State entrance coaching for KCET, MHT CET and similar exams
  • Government exam coaching for UPSC, state PSC, bank and SSC exams
  • Commerce coaching for CA, CS and CMA foundation levels
  • Language, spoken English and IELTS or PTE coaching centres
  • Study abroad and overseas education consultants
  • College admission and career counselling advisers
  • Online and hybrid tutoring businesses

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The centre has no batch, fee or faculty pages to rank, only a phone number, so a search would lead the parent nowhere.
  • Nobody will update the pages after each exam cycle, and an old batch date shown to a parent costs the admission.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How long before a course page starts bringing enquiries?
Several months for a competitive exam page, sooner for a narrow one naming a class, a board and a locality. Start in the term, not in results week. Ads cover the gap for a batch you need to fill now.
Should we publish articles about the exam syllabus?
Only a few, and know what they are for. They bring students, build a name among aspirants and rarely produce a paid admission by themselves. The batch pages and the locality pages are what parents search on.
Should every teacher have a page?
Yes for teachers who take batches that parents search for. A page with qualifications, subjects, boards and a sample lesson helps a parent decide. Leave out teachers who may leave soon, or update their pages quickly.
Should each branch have its own page and Maps profile?
Yes. A parent searches the area near home, so each branch needs its own address, batches, timings and photographs. One page for all branches will not rank for any of them.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
