Dental clinics · Local SEO

Rank in the Maps result a patient checks before ever visiting your website.

Local SEO for a dental clinic means ranking in the three Maps listings a patient sees first when searching for a treatment nearby. Most calls come from that result, not the website. GullySales completes the profile, builds local citations and keeps the details consistent everywhere.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

Last updated 8 Nov 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For dental clinics

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The profile needs to match the website exactly”

A mismatch in address or phone number between the profile and the website quietly costs a clinic its Maps ranking.

  • “Reviews are a ranking factor here, not just trust”

A steady flow of recent reviews affects Maps position directly, alongside how the clinic replies to each one.

  • “Locality pages support the profile for multi-branch clinics”

A branch in a specific area needs its own page naming that locality, matching the profile exactly, to rank for nearby searches.

What we do

What we deliver for dental clinics.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Google Business Profile completed and corrected

Every field on the profile, including hours, services and photographs, filled in and checked against the website for any mismatch in address or phone number.

Result: The profile stops quietly losing its Maps ranking to an easy mismatch.

  2. Local citation clean-up across directories

Your clinic's name, address and phone number checked and corrected across the directories and listings search engines use to confirm a local business.

Result: Search engines see one consistent clinic, not conflicting details.

  3. A review request routine built into checkout

A simple ask, by WhatsApp or SMS, sent after a completed appointment so recent reviews keep arriving instead of stopping after the early months.

Result: A patient checking reviews finds recent ones instead of a stale list.

  4. Locality pages for each branch, matching its profile

A page naming the exact area each branch serves, written to match that branch's Business Profile listing word for word.

Result: A search for a dentist in that specific locality finds the right branch.

  5. Maps position check for priority treatments

A monthly look at where the clinic appears in Maps results for its priority treatments and localities, reported against the starting position.

Result: You can see whether the local ranking is moving in the right direction.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a patient nearby finds a dentist for a treatment, and what to fix first.

Dentist and the specialist category
Set Dentist as the main category, and add Orthodontist, Cosmetic dentist or Dental implants provider only where a qualified practitioner works at that address. Do not claim a specialty the clinic has no one to deliver.
Treatments as services
List root canal, scaling, aligners, extractions and implants one by one in the words patients use. Do not state a price or a result. Say what the visit involves and what the patient should bring.
Doctor names and registration
Write each dentist's name and qualification as on the State Dental Council registration, and the same on the signboard and the website. Advertising rules for dentists differ by state and body, so check them with your own council.
Practo, Justdial and your IDA branch
Claim Practo for booking, Justdial for walk-ins, and your Indian Dental Association branch listing if you are a member. Copy the clinic name, doctor names and phone from Maps so nothing differs by a bracket.
One booking link
Choose one booking link, either your own or Practo's, and use it everywhere. Two links split the bookings between two lists, and the front desk misses patients who booked on the one it does not check.
Reviews after treatment
Ask at checkout, from the chair, with a link on a card. Do not offer a discount or gift for a review. Reply without confirming treatment details, and thank them in a sentence.

Who it is for

This is written for these dental clinics.

  • Single-dentist clinics
  • Multi-chair general dental clinics
  • Orthodontic and aligner-only practices
  • Implant and oral surgery centres
  • Cosmetic and smile-design clinics
  • Paediatric dental clinics
  • Dental clinics inside a multi-speciality centre
  • Multi-branch dental groups
  • New clinics in their first year

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The Business Profile hours and phone are wrong and nobody will keep them current.
  • The clinic shares a building address with another practice and has not settled the name shown on the map.
  • You plan to buy reviews to climb the map, which the platform's rules forbid.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Write down what is true

Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.

  2. 2

    Search as your buyer does

We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.

  3. 3

    Fix the profile first

Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.

  4. 4

Build the branch pages and match the listings

Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.

  5. 5

    Ask, reply and measure

We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How is local SEO different from regular SEO?
It focuses on the Maps result and the Google Business Profile, which drive most calls for a nearby, immediate need.
How long does it take to improve?
Often within weeks for the profile, since the searches are already happening, longer for competitive localities.
Can we put 'Dr' and the qualification in the profile name?
Use the name on the signboard in the name field. Put the qualification in the description exactly as on the registration. Adding titles or treatments to the name field breaks Google's rules, and council rules on titles differ by state, so confirm the wording with your own council.
Patients book on Practo. Should the Maps booking button go there too?
Pick one place for bookings that your front desk checks as often as the phone, and use it on both. If you have an online booking page of your own, send both buttons there. Two lists leave a patient with two appointments, or none.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
