Automobile spare parts distributors · Buyer persona

Treat the counter owner, head mechanic and fleet buyer as different customers.

A buyer persona for a spare parts distributor describes who orders, what they ask first and what makes them switch supplier, for each kind of trade buyer. GullySales builds these from your invoices and your salesmen's knowledge, not from guesses.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For automobile spare parts distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The counter owner buys on credit and relationship”

A spare parts counter owner stocks high-turnover lines and orders the rest on demand. They value the distributor who gives a few days of credit, takes back a wrong part and delivers when the counter is out.

  • “The head mechanic names the brand”

In a garage, the head mechanic decides the brand and grade for the repair, and the owner pays. A distributor who knows the head mechanic's preferences gets the order before the owner is consulted.

  • “The fleet buyer works to a rate list and a paper trail”

A truck or bus operator's purchase manager compares rates, wants bills in a set format and reports to an accounts team. They switch supplier on documentation and delivery as much as on price.

  • “The dealership parts manager wants speed on odd items”

A dealership or service centre holds its own stock, and calls a distributor for the odd part it lacks at short notice. This persona rewards the supplier who answers a part number without delay.

What we do

What we deliver for automobile spare parts distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Four persona sheets

One sheet each for counter owner, head mechanic, fleet purchase manager and dealership parts manager, with what each asks first and what makes them switch.

Result: Each salesman can read how the buyer thinks before the visit.

  2. Persona tags in the register

Every account in the counter and garage register is tagged to the persona it fits.

Result: The register can be filtered by buyer type.

  3. Message wording per persona

Short WhatsApp and call openers written for each buyer, in the language they use.

Result: Each persona has an opening line that fits their question.

  4. A switching-reasons record

A short log of why accounts left or joined, taken from the salesmen and the overdue list.

Result: The record names the reasons buyers changed supplier.

  5. A review of the personas against invoices

A check of each persona's real order pattern against the sheet, corrected where it differs.

Result: The sheets match what the books show.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need personas when we know all our customers?
The owner knows the big accounts. The salesmen and new hires do not, and the smaller counters are known by one person. Writing it down makes that knowledge usable by everyone.
How do you build them without inventing facts?
From your invoices, the credit list, the enquiry log and conversations with your salesmen and some customers. Anything not found in those sources is left out of the sheet.
Will a persona change how we price?
Not by itself. Prices and schemes stay with you and the brand. The persona changes what the salesman leads with, such as credit and returns for a counter owner or papers for a fleet buyer.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
