Building material distributors · Website

A site that lists your brands and takes a rate request in one step.

A website for a building material distributor is the page a contractor opens after finding your name, to check which brands you hold, where you deliver and how to ask for a rate. GullySales works on the pages, the enquiry form and the phone-first layout.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Building material suppliers: show a real physical business scene illustrating Phone and WhatsApp order entry. Record the order against a contractor and a site, with material, quantity, rate, delivery slot and who at that site may sign for the load.

What website means

A website is the page a customer lands on after searching, clicking an advert or scanning a code, and it decides whether they call or leave. GullySales builds and maintains sites that load quickly, explain the offer plainly and make the enquiry form or phone number easy to find.

For building material distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The visitor is checking, not browsing”

A buyer arrives having heard your name and wants three facts: whether you hold the brand, whether you deliver to the site, and whom to call. A homepage with a long company history hides all three.

  • “Visits come from a phone held on a site”

The reader is standing in dust with a phone. Large call and WhatsApp buttons, pages that load on a weak signal and short forms matter more than design.

  • “A brand logo is not authorisation”

Showing a manufacturer's logo without stating your appointment can mislead and may breach the brand's rules. State your authorised status in words, and check the brand's guidelines for logo use.

  • “Rate pages cannot hold a live price”

Prices move daily. A page that lists a price will be out of date. Offer a rate request, and say the quote is given for the quantity and date of enquiry.

What we do

What we deliver for building material distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A site structure built on brands and materials

Pages for each brand and material group, a delivery area page, a dealer page and a contact page.

Result: A visitor finds the brand or material in two taps.

  2. A rate request form

A short form asking for material, quantity, site location and phone, with WhatsApp as an alternative.

Result: Every request reaches your team with the detail needed to quote.

  3. A phone-first layout

Pages tested on a mid-range phone and a slow connection, with tap-to-call and tap-to-WhatsApp buttons.

Result: The site works on the device your buyers use.

  4. Trust pages

Pages for authorisation, godown location, delivery area and the people to call.

Result: A new buyer can verify you before calling.

  5. Analytics for calls and forms

A setup that records form submissions and button taps on calls and WhatsApp.

Result: You can see how many people tried to reach you.

How the result is measured

  • Page load time
  • Bounce rate
  • Enquiries from the website

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these building material distributors.

  • Residential builders and apartment developers
  • Civil contractors on commercial and industrial sites
  • Independent house owners building with a mistri
  • Retail dealers and hardware shops in the surrounding towns
  • Interior and finishing contractors
  • Architects and structural consultants who specify brands
  • Housing societies and institutions doing repairs
  • Plumbing, electrical and tiling contractors who buy for their jobs

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your rates move daily and nobody will edit the pages, so a rate shown would be wrong the next morning.
  • You want to display brand logos as proof, but have no written authorisation to use them, so the page would claim a standing you cannot show.

How it works

How the website work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Confirm structure and content

We agree the page list, what each page must answer, and who supplies the text and photographs, before any design starts.

  2. 2

    Design the templates

The home page, a service page, a location page and the enquiry page are designed first, on phone and desktop, and shown to you.

  3. 3

    Build and test

The site is built and checked on real phones and the common browsers. Every form, call button and WhatsApp link is tested end to end.

  4. 4

    Load real content

Actual copy, images and information replace placeholders. Pages are read through once by you, since you spot wrong details we cannot.

  5. 5

    Check before launch

Tracking, page titles, the sitemap and the privacy page are checked on the staging site. If an old site exists, its addresses are mapped so old links still land somewhere.

  6. 6

    Launch and hand over access

The site goes live and we record the domain, hosting, content login and analytics in your name. The first live enquiry is traced to confirm tracking works.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can you update our existing site instead of building a new one?
Yes, if the site can be edited and loads well on a phone. We review it first, and tell you plainly whether to repair it or rebuild it.
Should the website show prices?
Show how to ask for a rate, and the units you sell in. A published price goes out of date and sets expectations you may not meet.
Should the website show prices?
Not live rates. A building material rate moves with the brand and the day, and a page cannot keep up. Show the brands, the products and a rate-request button, so the answer comes from the desk with a date on it.
Can you update our existing site instead of building a new one?
Yes, if the site can hold the brand pages, the delivery areas and a rate-request form. The question is whether those pages can be added and edited easily. If not, a rebuild is the cleaner choice than a patch the desk cannot maintain.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
