Building material distributors · Social media

Post the delivery, the stock and the scheme where contractors already scroll.

Social media marketing for a building material distributor means showing stock, deliveries, brand events and schemes to the builders, masons and dealers who already follow a distributor on their phones. GullySales works on what to post, where, and how a reply turns into an order.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Building material suppliers: show a real physical business scene illustrating Phone and WhatsApp order entry. Record the order against a contractor and a site, with material, quantity, rate, delivery slot and who at that site may sign for the load.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For building material distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Contractors follow people, not brands”

A mason follows the supplier's salesman before the distributor's page. Posts that feature the people who visit sites, with the name shown, reach the audience that places orders.

  • “Stock photographs sell better than slogans”

A picture of a lorry loaded for a site, or a fresh consignment of a brand in the godown, tells a buyer that you have material. A graphic with a slogan tells nothing.

  • “Scheme posts invite arguments”

A scheme announced on a public page draws questions from dealers who think they qualify. Post the rules with the scheme, and keep earned benefits on a record that can be shown.

  • “Each platform has a different reader”

WhatsApp status reaches the contractor in the field, Instagram reaches the house owner choosing finishes, and a business page on LinkedIn reaches consultants and developers. One post pasted to all three suits none.

What we do

What we deliver for building material distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A posting plan by audience

A list of what to post for contractors, dealers and house owners, with the platform that suits each.

Result: Your team knows who each post is for before it goes out.

  2. A stock and delivery photo routine

A simple way for the godown and drivers to send photographs and a line of text, with names and sites kept private where needed.

Result: Posts come from real stock rather than manufacturer images.

  3. Brand event coverage

Photographs and short clips of mason meets, product demonstrations and dealer visits, published with the brand's permission.

Result: Events keep working after the day is over.

  4. A reply and enquiry route

A shared inbox or WhatsApp number that receives comments and messages and passes each to a salesperson.

Result: Every message has an owner.

  5. A check on what brought enquiries

A record of which posts led to a rate request or a visit.

Result: You see which posts were worth the effort.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Posts and pieces to plan

Plan posts from the yard and the road.

Truck of cement leaving for a site
A photo of the loaded vehicle with the brand visible and the area named, which shows reliable delivery without naming the buyer.
New tile range in the showroom
A short video of the range laid out, with the brand and the finish named, for owners and interior contractors.
Stock arrived for the building season
A post showing pipes or fittings on the shelf with the brands, for plumbers and dealers planning orders.
How to read a bag or pack label
A simple explainer on batch and grade labels for a mason, built from the brand's own printed information.
Scheme period for dealers
A post stating a brand scheme exactly as the brand issued it, sent to dealers only, with the terms in full.

Who it is for

This is written for these building material distributors.

  • Residential builders and apartment developers
  • Civil contractors on commercial and industrial sites
  • Independent house owners building with a mistri
  • Retail dealers and hardware shops in the surrounding towns
  • Interior and finishing contractors
  • Architects and structural consultants who specify brands
  • Housing societies and institutions doing repairs
  • Plumbing, electrical and tiling contractors who buy for their jobs

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Nobody can answer comments about rate and stock, so every post would end in an unanswered question.
  • Your buyers all come by referral from the same few contractors, so a public page would reach very few new ones.

How it works

How the social media work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Confirm audience, platforms and access

We note which platforms your buyers use and check that the pages sit under your own business accounts, with you as owner and us as added roles.

  2. 2

    Review the current presence

We read the existing pages, the posts that drew replies and the gaps in posting.

  3. 3

    Build the calendar

Themes, formats and dates are set out for your approval, with space for offers and news.

  4. 4

    Create, approve and publish

Posts are made, approved by you and scheduled. Replies to the public are handled in your voice.

  5. 5

    Record enquiries and adjust

Enquiries are logged against the post or platform where they began, and the mix changes to follow what brings them.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which platform should a distributor start with?
Start where your buyers already talk to you, which is WhatsApp for a contractor in the field. A business page on another platform follows once someone is ready to post and reply to it.
Can we post pictures of customers' sites?
Only with the customer's permission, and some sites restrict photography. Ask first, and show the material and the delivery rather than the building.
Which platform should a distributor start with?
The one your masons and contractors already use, which is generally WhatsApp for orders and a video platform for watching. Start with one, post real stock and deliveries, and add another only when buyers tell you they look there.
Can we post pictures of a customer's site?
Only with the owner's or contractor's agreement, and without the address of a private home. Show the material and your vehicle, and name the locality only. Check the platform's current rules, and leave out any photo that shows a person without consent.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
