Electrical equipment distributors · Local SEO

Be the counter that shows up when a contractor searches near the site.

Local SEO for an electrical distributor is how your counter appears when a contractor or site engineer searches for supplies near the work. GullySales works on the Google Business Profile, the area pages and the details a buyer checks before driving over.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For electrical equipment distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A site engineer searches from the site”

Someone short of a few items on a running job searches on a phone and picks a nearby counter. The profile that shows stock, hours and a phone number that connects wins the visit over one with an old address.

  • “Brands you hold belong on the profile”

A contractor wants a particular make of switch or cable. If the profile lists only "electrical shop", the search engine and the buyer cannot tell your counter holds that brand.

  • “Wrong hours and a dead phone line cost an order”

A profile that lists the shop as open while the shutter is down, or a number nobody answers, sends the contractor to the next counter. Accuracy decides the visit.

  • “Reviews from contractors read differently”

A review that mentions prompt billing of a BOQ or a reliable delivery to a site tells another contractor more than a star rating does. Asking for such reviews needs a polite routine and no pressure.

What we do

What we deliver for electrical equipment distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Google Business Profile set-up and clean-up

Name, address, hours, phone, categories and services checked and corrected for each counter or godown.

Result: Each location shows the right details when searched.

  2. A brand and product list on the profile

The makes you stock and the product families you supply, written in the words contractors search.

Result: The profile names the brands a contractor is looking for.

  3. Area service pages

Pages for the localities and industrial areas you supply, saying which items you deliver and where.

Result: A buyer in a locality finds a page about supply to that area.

  4. A review request routine

A short message the counter sends to a contractor after a delivery, with a link to the profile.

Result: Review requests go out after real deliveries, with a record of who was asked.

  5. Directory listing check

Your name, address and phone compared across trade directories and corrected where they differ.

Result: The same details appear on every listing.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

A site engineer searching from the site wants the nearest counter that stocks the item.

Electrical shop near me open now
Answer with hours set to what the counter does, including the lunch break and Sunday, so the engineer is never sent to a closed shutter.
Cable and wire wholesale dealer in your area
Answer with a profile description that lists the cable makes held and a plain product list, so the profile matches the search by name.
Contractor supply store for switchgear
Answer with brand tags on the profile and a photo of the switchgear shelves. A contractor judges the stock from the picture before driving over.
Electrical goods delivery to site
Answer with a service area limited to places you really deliver to and a line about site delivery for large orders, with a number that reaches dispatch.
Authorised dealer for a named brand near me
Answer with the brand named on the profile only where authorisation is current, and a photo of the brand's display at the counter.

Who it is for

This is written for these electrical equipment distributors.

  • Cable and wire distributors for building and industry
  • Switchgear, MCB and distribution board dealers
  • Motor, drive and automation component distributors
  • Lighting and LED project suppliers
  • Solar inverter, panel and BOS component distributors
  • Transformer, UPS and power equipment channel partners
  • Panel builders' component suppliers
  • Multi-brand electrical wholesalers supplying sub-dealers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The phone on the profile is not answered during counter hours, so a map visitor would call a dead line and go to the next shop.
  • Your outlets do not each have a staffed counter, so a profile for a godown would send buyers to a locked gate.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Write down what is true

Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.

  2. 2

    Search as your buyer does

We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.

  3. 3

    Fix the profile first

Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.

  4. 4

Build the branch pages and match the listings

Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.

  5. 5

    Ask, reply and measure

We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We have two outlets. Do both need profiles?
Yes, each with its own address, hours and phone. A single profile for two places confuses the search engine and the buyer.
Can we reply to reviews that complain about credit or price?
Yes, politely and without arguing. State what you can do and invite the contractor to call. Other buyers read the reply as much as the review.
How do we handle a review that complains about price?
Reply politely, state what the price included and invite the contractor to ring for a revised quote. A calm reply reads well to the next contractor, who judges you by it. Never argue about credit terms in public or name the customer's account.
Should the godown have its own profile?
Only if buyers can walk in and be served there. A profile for a store that opens to staff only sends buyers to a shut gate. If it is a dispatch point, name it in the description of the counter profile and keep one public address.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
