Electrical equipment distributors · Search engine optimisation

Let a buyer searching for a brand and a product find your counter.

SEO for an electrical distributor is the work of making your brand, product and city pages answer what contractors and project buyers type into a search box. GullySales works on page structure, product and brand pages, and the content that shows your authorised status.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For electrical equipment distributors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers search by brand and by product code”

A panel builder looks for a specific breaker or contactor by make and rating, and a contractor looks for a cable size with a city name. A single page titled "electrical supplies" matches none of those searches.

  • “A marketplace listing outranks the real authorised seller”

When a brand name is searched, trade directories and online sellers fill the first results. A distributor with a clear page that states the authorisation and the territory gives a buyer a reason to pick the local source.

  • “Thin catalogue pages say nothing a buyer needs”

A list of product names without ratings, makes, standards or typical uses gives a search engine little to read and a buyer no reason to stay. A catalogue page earns its place by answering the specification question.

  • “Project buyers read before they call”

A purchase manager in another city reads about a distributor before asking for a quotation. A page about supply to builder and factory projects, with the types of package you handle, replaces a first phone call.

What we do

What we deliver for electrical equipment distributors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A brand and product page plan

A list of the pages worth building, one for each brand you hold and each product family you stock, in the words buyers type.

Result: You hold a page list that matches how buyers search.

  2. Product family pages with specification detail

Pages for cables, switchgear, motors, lighting and control gear, each with ratings, makes and the uses a designer would check.

Result: A buyer can confirm the item suits the job without phoning.

  3. Authorisation statements on brand pages

Each brand page says what you are authorised to supply, in the wording your authorisation letter allows.

Result: A searcher can see which brands you hold and where you supply.

  4. Title and heading clean-up

Page titles, headings and descriptions rewritten so that each page names the product, make and city.

Result: Each page title names what the page sells.

  5. A search record

The queries that bring visitors, the pages they land on and the enquiries that follow, kept in one place.

Result: You can see which pages lead to quotation requests.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Buyers search by brand and product, and each needs a page that proves you stock it.

Authorised distributor of a named MCB brand in Pune
Answer with a brand page that states the authorisation, the products held and the city served, with a link to the maker's own proof where one exists.
FRLS copper cable 4 sq mm price
Answer with a cable family page listing sizes, cores, make and the form for a quote. Rates move, so invite a request instead of printing a number.
Distribution board 12 way double door buy
Answer with a switchgear page that carries ratings and the models held, written so the panel builder sees the exact item and asks for the quantity.
Solar inverter and BOS components supplier near me
Answer with a solar page that names the inverter makes, cable and structure items you stock, and says what you supply to an installer versus a household.
Motor and drive supplier for factory maintenance
Answer with an industrial page listing frame sizes and drive makes held, with a number the maintenance head can ring when a line has stopped.

Who it is for

This is written for these electrical equipment distributors.

  • Cable and wire distributors for building and industry
  • Switchgear, MCB and distribution board dealers
  • Motor, drive and automation component distributors
  • Lighting and LED project suppliers
  • Solar inverter, panel and BOS component distributors
  • Transformer, UPS and power equipment channel partners
  • Panel builders' component suppliers
  • Multi-brand electrical wholesalers supplying sub-dealers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your authorisations are unconfirmed or have lapsed, so brand pages would claim a status you cannot show to the maker or the buyer.
  • Stock changes faster than anyone can update the site, so product pages would promise items the counter has sold.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can you promise a first-page ranking for a brand name?
No. Rankings depend on the search engine and on competing pages. We build pages that deserve to be found and report what the search record shows.
Should we list every product we stock?
No. Start with the families that bring the most orders and the brands you are authorised for. Pages are added as the catalogue is checked for accuracy, since a wrong rating on a page does harm.
How do we compete with marketplace listings?
Show what a marketplace cannot: that you are an authorised distributor, that you can supply against a BOQ, and that a named person will answer. A listing sells a single item. Project buyers want a supplier who can hold stock and deliver to site.
Does a product page need a data sheet?
Link the maker's data sheet where the maker allows it, because panel builders and consultants check ratings before they order. A page with a sheet shows you hold the item. Where the maker's terms forbid hosting, link to the maker's own page.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
