Inventory management service providers · Lead generation

Bring in finance heads and plant heads who have a stock figure they cannot defend.

Lead generation for an inventory management provider means finding the companies whose book stock and physical stock disagree, and reaching the person who must explain the gap. GullySales builds the pages, lists and enquiry handling that bring in those buyers instead of general requests for counters.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For inventory management service providers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The enquiry that asks for a day rate is a weak lead”

A buyer who opens with the rate per counter is comparing you with a staffing agency. A lead that arrives asking about method, report format or site coverage is already buying what you do. The pages and outreach should pull in the second kind.

  • “A CA's name is a lead before any form is filled”

Before a CFO searches, the statutory auditor or CA is often asked who counts stock well. That conversation never appears in your enquiry inbox, so it has to be recorded when an auditor mentions your firm, or the source is lost.

  • “Head office decides, local sites only ask”

A multi-site manufacturer has plant contacts who send the first message, while the finance head at head office approves. A lead sheet that records only the plant contact misses the person who signs.

What we do

What we deliver for inventory management service providers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Enquiry pages by stock type

Separate landing pages for manufacturing stores, pharma batches, retail stock and dealer consignment, each with its own enquiry form.

Result: Each enquiry arrives labelled with the kind of stock the buyer holds.

  2. A qualifying form for finance heads

A short form asking for number of sites, type of stock, audit date and who signs the report.

Result: Every enquiry shows the sites and audit date before the first call.

  3. Source recording for auditor and CA mentions

A field in the lead sheet that records when an auditor or CA named your firm.

Result: The sheet separates auditor-sourced leads from search and outreach.

  4. Head-office contact mapping

For each plant-level enquiry, a note of the finance or supply chain head above the contact.

Result: Each multi-site lead lists both the local contact and the approver.

  5. Outreach lists by stock-heavy industry

Named lists of firms in industries that hold large stores, built from public sources.

Result: A list of target firms, each with the likely buyer role beside it.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

Record the stock, the sites and the trigger behind every enquiry.

Type of stock held
Raw material, finished goods, batch and expiry items or consignment stock. The type decides which method and which team you propose.
Number of sites and stores
A single godown and a chain of outlets are different engagements. The figure shows who must approve at head office.
What triggered the enquiry
An audit qualification, a book-to-physical gap, a year-end count, a loss or a new finance head. The trigger sets the tone of the reply.
Who referred or who asked
A CA, an auditor, a peer or a search. Marked so referrers can be thanked and the strongest sources are seen.
Decision maker and site contact
The finance head approves while the stores contact hosts the count. Both names are needed before a proposal.

Who it is for

This is written for these inventory management service providers.

  • Manufacturers with raw material, work in progress and finished goods stores
  • Distributors and wholesalers with several godowns
  • Retail chains and franchise outlets with store stock
  • Pharma and healthcare distributors with batch and expiry tracking
  • Brands with consignment stock at dealers and retailers
  • E-commerce sellers and fulfilment centres
  • Hospitals and educational institutions with consumables and assets
  • Government and public sector stores

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You cannot staff a count at short notice, and a panic enquiry would meet an apology
  • Your method is not written down, so a lead would receive a proposal that varies by who writes it
  • You serve only clients who already return each year through a CA

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which leads are worth a call first?
The ones with several sites, a stated audit date and a finance head attached. A single-shop enquiry about a day rate can wait. The qualifying form puts those facts in front of you before anyone dials.
Can GullySales count our leads by source?
Yes, the lead sheet is set up to show source, buyer role and stage, so you can see which route brought each enquiry. The counting itself is a record of what came in, not a forecast.
How do we qualify a lead before sending a proposal?
Ask what stock is held, how many sites, what triggered the enquiry and who decides. A caller asking only for a day rate is comparing costs. Record the answers in the enquiry, and propose only when you know the stock type and the approver.
What stops multi-site clients from slipping through?
Map the head office contact beside each site contact on the record. Local sites ask questions but head office approves, so a conversation held only with a stores manager stalls. Ask each site contact who signs for the group and note the answer.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
