Dairy producers · SMS marketing

Reach the retailer with a scheme before the sales rep's next visit.

Mobile marketing for a dairy producer means SMS and WhatsApp messages to booths, kirana owners and bulk buyers about schemes, rate changes and new stock. It reaches a retailer between the sales rep's physical visits, and GullySales builds the list from your existing dealer network, keeping the frequency low enough to stay useful.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What SMS marketing means

SMS marketing is short text messages sent to a customer's phone for time-sensitive updates such as an appointment reminder or a limited offer, read even without internet access. GullySales writes these messages short and keeps sends limited to what a customer would actually want to know.

For dairy producers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Scheme announcements between rep visits”

A retailer often only hears about a fresh scheme when the sales rep visits. A message sent the day a scheme starts fills that gap without waiting for the next round.

  • “Stock alerts for perishable products”

A short-shelf-life product like curd or flavoured milk benefits from a message alerting retailers to fresh stock arriving, so they order before it moves to a competitor's dairy.

  • “Payment and credit reminders kept businesslike”

A short, polite payment reminder by message reduces awkward phone calls and keeps the retailer relationship on schedule without a rep having to raise it in person.

What we do

What we deliver for dairy producers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Scheme announcement messages

A message sent to booths and kiranas the day a new scheme starts, filling the gap between sales rep visits.

Result: A retailer hears about a scheme in time to act on it.

  2. Fresh stock alert for perishable lines

A message alerting retailers when fresh curd or flavoured milk stock is arriving, so they order before a competitor's delivery.

Result: A perishable line moves before it risks going unsold.

  3. Payment reminder message template

A short, polite reminder sent by message instead of an awkward phone call from the sales rep.

Result: Payments stay on schedule without straining the retailer relationship.

  4. Dealer contact list built from the existing network

A message list built from your current booth and kirana network, kept low in frequency to stay welcome.

Result: Retailers keep reading your messages instead of tuning them out.

How the result is measured

  • Delivery rate
  • Response rate
  • Enquiries from SMS

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Messages for booths and kiranas

Keep a ready message for each thing a booth or kirana owner needs between rep visits.

Scheme message
Product, the scheme in one line, the start and end dates and any minimum order. Send it the day the scheme begins so the retailer can plan the next order.
Rate change notice
Product, pack size, the new rate and the date it applies from. Send it before the van reaches the retailer so the bill holds no surprise.
Fresh stock alert
Name the line, such as curd, paneer or flavoured milk, the day it arrives and the last time to order before the van is loaded.
Payment reminder
Outstanding amount, the bill dates it covers and how to pay, including UPI where you accept it. One polite line, with a number to call if the figure looks wrong.
Festival order cut-off
Ghee, paneer and sweet-shop lines move before festivals. Give the order cut-off for the festival week, ahead of the day the van load list is fixed.
Language, sender and reply number
Use the language each retailer reads, noted on the dealer list by the rep, and a single sender name. Give one number to reply to, and make sure someone answers it.

Who it is for

This is written for these dairy producers.

  • Milk producers and processors
  • Paneer, curd and ghee manufacturers
  • Flavoured and UHT milk brands
  • Co-operative dairy societies
  • Bulk suppliers to hotels and sweet shops
  • Milk booth and kirana distribution networks

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the sms marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand where speed matters

We identify the specific moments in your customer journey where a fast, near-certain message genuinely adds value.

  2. 2

    Audit current reminders and updates

We check how these are currently handled and where a text message would improve reliability.

  3. 3

    Design the message set

Templates are written for each identified use case, kept short and clear.

  4. 4

    Implement automated triggers

Messages are set to send automatically based on relevant events, such as a booked appointment.

  5. 5

    Measure and refine

We track delivery and any measurable outcome, such as reduced no-shows, and refine the message set.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Will retailers mind getting messages?
Not if they are useful and infrequent, covering schemes, stock and payments rather than general promotion. We keep the volume low enough to stay welcome.
Does this work for household consumers too?
Less so for daily milk, where habit decides the purchase, but it can work for festival product reminders to a list of past buyers of paneer or ghee.
Which language should the message be in?
The language the retailer reads most easily, which for many booth and kirana owners is the local one. Ask the rep to note each retailer's preference on the dealer list, keep sentences short and write amounts and dates in digits.
Should we ask retailers to reply with their reorder?
Only if someone reads the replies and changes the van load because of them. Otherwise give a number to call or WhatsApp and a cut-off time. A reply nobody reads teaches retailers to stop reading your messages.
Do households respond to advertising for a dairy brand?
Rarely by itself. Availability at the local booth and word of mouth decide the daily purchase, so brand content builds trust that supports the dealer network rather than replacing it.
How do we win hotel and bulk contracts?
Usually by being the dairy that called back, not the cheapest one. A hotel purchase manager tests a sample, then signs with the supplier whose van turned up on time for the trial week. We set up the follow-up so the call happens before he decides.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
