Food product manufacturers · Local SEO

Be the brand your own district asks for by name.

Local SEO for a food manufacturer is appearing on Google Maps and in searches naming your town, which is how retailers, bulk buyers and visitors find the plant. GullySales sets up the profile, the listings and the pages for the districts you supply.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For food product manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your home district is where trust already exists”

Shoppers who grew up on the brand search it by name, and that is the demand a new retailer can be shown.

  • “The factory gate sells more than you think”

Walk-in buyers, bulk customers and people wanting festive packs find the plant on Maps and turn up.

  • “A profile for the plant is not one for the brand”

The listing has to say what you make and who can buy there, because a distributor and a shopper both read it.

What we do

What we deliver for food product manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Business Profile that says what you make

The plant verified, with the category, hours, what can be bought at the gate and the FSSAI licence number in the description.

Result: A buyer standing outside knows whether to come in.

  2. Photographs of the plant, the pack and the range

The unit, the packing line, the range on a shelf and the festive packs, uploaded and refreshed before each season.

Result: A distributor sees a working factory before he visits.

  3. A page for each district you supply

One page per district naming the towns, the distributor's coverage and the products stocked there, so a local search finds the brand.

Result: A retailer in that town learns who to order from.

  4. Directory entries where trade buyers look

IndiaMART, JustDial and the food trade directories filled in with the same details, licence numbers and pack list as your site.

Result: A buyer checking you finds one company everywhere.

  5. Reviews asked for at the gate and from retailers

A short ask to walk-in buyers and to retailers who reorder, with a QR code at the counter to make it a ten second job.

Result: The profile carries reviews from people who buy in cases.

  6. Calls and direction requests counted

Enquiries that started on the listing reported separately, against the baseline recorded before work began.

Result: You learn what the factory gate is actually worth.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a trade buyer or a neighbour finds a food maker on the map, and what to fix first.

Food maker, not food shop
Choose food manufacturer, or the nearest to what you make, such as spice or snack maker. The wrong category sends retail customers to a factory gate that sells to the trade.
Products as pack types
List each product by name and pack, such as sambar powder, mango pickle or murukku, with a photograph of the real pack. Retailers search the product and the town together.
FSSAI licence number
The licence number is printed on every pack. Put the same number and the same legal name in the description so a buyer, a retailer or an inspector sees one consistent business.
Gate and visiting hours
Say plainly whether the factory sells to walk-ins or only to the trade, and which gate a visitor uses. A distributor who arrives at the wrong gate on a loading day will not wait.
IndiaMART and TradeIndia
Distributors and exporters look here for makers. Match the company name, plant address and GST details to the profile, and keep pack photographs the same across all three.
Q and A from retailers
Answer the minimum order, whether you supply direct or through a distributor, and whether private label is accepted. These are the questions retailers type before a first call.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is reply time, a follow-up sequence, the page buyers land on or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local seo work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Why does a factory need a Maps listing?
Buyers, drivers and sample collectors use it to find you. It also carries your hours, your phone number and your reviews.
Should we make a page for every district we supply?
One page per district your distributor covers, naming the towns and what is stocked. The listing itself stays at the plant.
Should the profile show the FSSAI licence number?
Yes, in the description, written as it appears on your packs. It is a plain fact buyers look for and it ties the listing to the real manufacturer. Check that the name and address match the licence exactly.
A shopkeeper posted a bad review about our pack. How should we reply?
Reply politely and in public, thank him, say what you will check and invite a call. Do not argue or reveal order details. A calm reply to one complaint tells the next retailer more than the complaint does.
Should we sell on quick commerce apps?
If your product is bought on impulse or as a daily need in cities where these apps are strong, it is worth testing in one city first. Watch the fees, the packaging needs and whether reviews build, before adding more cities.
How do we stop distributors dumping our stock?
Track secondary sales, not just what you bill to the distributor. Give schemes on outlets reached and reorders, not on bulk loading, and review each distributor's sell-through every month.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
