Packaging manufacturers · Lead generation

Bring in enquiries with a size, a quantity and a date attached.

Lead generation for a packaging unit means getting brands and online sellers to ask for a rate, then finding out early whether the order suits your machines. GullySales builds the enquiry forms, the marketplace replies and the outreach to purchase teams, and tracks each enquiry through the sample to a first order.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For packaging manufacturers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Half the enquiry is missing”

A message saying send rate for boxes cannot be quoted. Asking for size, board, print colours and monthly quantity in the first reply saves a day of guessing.

  • “A marketplace lead reaches five converters at once”

The same buy lead lands with several units in the same minute. A Monday reply to a Friday enquiry reaches a brand that has already placed the order.

  • “The opening is a launch or a fight with the current supplier”

Nobody changes a carton vendor for the pleasure of it. Outreach timed to a product launch, a pack redesign or a rejected batch arrives when there is a gap.

What we do

What we deliver for packaging manufacturers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. An enquiry form asking the five things you need

Size, board or film, print colours, monthly quantity and delivery location captured at the first step, on the website and on WhatsApp.

Result: Your estimator can quote without three rounds of questions.

  2. First reply templates for marketplace and WhatsApp leads

Short prepared replies for IndiaMART, JustDial and website enquiries, carrying the questions, the minimum order and a time for a call.

Result: A lead is answered within the hour instead of after the shift.

  3. A dieline and sample tracker

Every dieline approved, sample dispatched, feedback received and rate agreed, recorded with a follow-up date against each one.

Result: Samples are chased to a yes or a no, and the reason is written down.

  4. A target account list for your region

Food, pharma, FMCG and e-commerce units near you, with purchase and brand contacts named, built for outreach rather than bought as a database.

Result: New accounts hear from you before their next pack change.

  5. Screening rules written with your estimator

An agreed line on which enquiries get a full quotation, which get a standard rate card, and which get a polite no.

Result: Estimation time goes to the enquiries that can become schedules.

  6. Enquiry report by source and pack

Enquiries, samples sent, samples approved and first orders counted by channel and pack type, against the baseline we record at the start.

Result: You can see which channel brings buyers your line can actually serve.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where enquiries come from

A packaging maker is approached by small brands, buyers and marketplaces, and each enquiry needs its specifications written first.

Marketplace or directory enquiry
Record the pack type, the size, the quantity and the target city. Reply with the facts you need and a minimum order, so a buyer with no size does not use an estimator's time.
WhatsApp message from a small brand
Ask for the product, the size of the item, the print colours and the quantity per order. Offer a stock size if it fits, and note whether the brand has its own artwork.
Procurement email from a company
Log the item, the board and the GSM or film asked for, the annual volume and the approval route. Ask who approves samples and how many suppliers are being compared.
Existing customer with a new pack
Open it as a new enquiry on the same account, with its own dieline, sample and approval. Link it to the earlier jobs so the estimator can see what the last plates and dies cost.
E-commerce or courier seller
Record the product's size and weight, the shipping method and the damage the seller is trying to avoid. Offer a sample of the board grade that fits, and ask for a trial order.
Visitor to the plant or sample room
Note the person, the pack they handled and what they asked about. Send the sample they liked and a short note, and set a date to ask for their reaction.

Who it is for

This is written for these packaging manufacturers.

  • Corrugated box and carton manufacturers
  • Mono carton and printed folding box makers
  • Flexible packaging, laminate and pouch manufacturers
  • Label and sticker printers
  • Paper bag and paper cup manufacturers
  • Rigid box and premium gift packaging makers
  • Paper and paper products converters
  • Industrial and export packaging suppliers
  • E-commerce and courier packaging suppliers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your two largest customers use most of the capacity and you cannot take a new job without refusing an existing one.
  • You send samples to anyone who asks and do not record where they go, so more leads would only mean more unfollowed samples.
  • You expect marketplace leads to turn into orders without a reply that carries the specification and a plant photograph.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

How do we stop wasting time on orders we cannot take?
State the minimum order and the sizes you run on the page and in the first reply. A brand needing five hundred printed cartons learns it before your estimator spends an hour on it. The ones who can fill a run still write in.
Is outreach to purchase managers worth it for a box unit?
Yes, when the list is built properly. Named purchase and brand contacts at units within reach of your delivery is a list worth working for months. A mass mail to a bought database is not.
A customer emails an old box and asks us to match it. How do we log and quote?
Log it as a copy job and record the board, size, print and where the old box came from. Check who owns the artwork and the die. Quote only after the sample is measured, because a copy rarely matches its photo.
How do we record a repeat customer's new pack?
Open a fresh enquiry on the same account and link it to the earlier jobs. A new pack means a new dieline, plates and sample, so it needs its own cost. If you count it as a repeat order, the estimator will skip the checks.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
