Animal welfare NGOs · Local SEO

Put your shelter and rescue line on the map where the finder is looking.

Local SEO for an animal welfare NGO is the care of its map listing, its address details and its reviews so that people nearby find the right door or number. GullySales works on the Google Business Profile, the way your area is described and the habit of replying to what visitors write.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For animal welfare NGOs

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A shelter on the outskirts is hard to describe in an address”

Some shelters sit down a lane behind a farm or a plot with no sign. A visitor who follows a pin that lands a kilometre away gives up. A landmark, a gate photo and a reachable number fix what the pin cannot.

  • “Rescue groups and vet clinics appear in the same search”

A person looking for help with an injured stray sees clinics, ambulances and shelters together. The listing that shows when it is open, whether it takes emergency cases and who answers wins the tap.

  • “Visiting hours are a promise to the public”

Shelters often limit visits to protect the animals and the staff. If the listing shows open all day, visitors arrive at a closed gate and leave a poor review. Honest hours protect both the animals and the group's standing.

  • “Reviews come from adopters, finders and donors, and each reads differently”

A line from an adopter reassures other adopters. A line from a finder shows the group came. A reply that thanks the person and answers a question tells the next reader the group is active.

What we do

What we deliver for animal welfare NGOs.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A complete Google Business Profile

Name, type as the platform offers it, area covered, honest hours, emergency line and a short description in your volunteers' words.

Result: The profile shows what you do, when, and how to reach a person.

  2. Directions that work for a hard-to-find shelter

A gate photograph, a landmark, the plus code if useful and a line on where to park or wait.

Result: A first-time visitor reaches the gate without calling three times.

  3. Photographs you own, added to the listing

Shelter gate, enclosures, vaccination area and volunteers at work, with consent from anyone shown.

Result: The listing shows the real place, not a stock picture.

  4. A reply routine for reviews

A short set of ways to thank a reviewer, answer a question and respond calmly to a complaint, kept for volunteers to use.

Result: Every review has a visible, courteous reply.

  5. Area pages for the localities you serve

A page per locality or ward that covers rescue coverage, feeding points and the volunteer to call.

Result: A resident can see that the group works in their street, not just in the city.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should the shelter address be public?
That is your decision. Some groups keep the address private to protect the animals and publish a rescue line and a meeting point. A Google listing can hide the address and show a service area. We set it up the way the committee prefers.
Who should reply to Google reviews?
One named volunteer or a small rota, using the reply notes we draft. A consistent voice matters more than speed of wording. Complaints get a calm reply that offers a call, never an argument in public.
Will a listing bring us donations?
A listing brings calls, visits and adopters. Donors arrive when the listing, the page and the payment link agree with one another. We check that path from the map to the gift, and the donation rules for your body stay with your adviser.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
