Cultural associations · Search engine optimisation

Make the festival, the classes and the society appear when someone searches for them.

SEO for a cultural association is the work of making its events, classes and history findable when a newcomer searches for them by name or by art form. GullySales works on the pages, the wording and the structure that a search engine reads.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For cultural associations

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The event exists only as an image”

A poster posted on social media cannot be read by a search engine. The date, hall and programme need to sit as plain text on a page, or the festival does not appear when someone searches for it.

  • “The page is rewritten and the old one deleted”

Each year the committee makes a fresh page and loses the previous one, so the history that earned a search presence disappears. One page per event, updated each year, keeps the address and its record.

  • “People search by art form and locality, not by society name”

A newcomer types the dance form or the language with the name of the city. A page that says what is taught and where, in those words, meets the search. A page that only carries the society's name does not.

  • “The language of the community is typed in many spellings”

A festival name can be written in the local script or in several English spellings. Pages that carry the common spellings next to one another are found by more of the people looking.

What we do

What we deliver for cultural associations.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Search wording list

A list of the phrases the community uses for its festivals, art forms and classes, in the spellings people type.

Result: A page title and heading can be checked against the list.

  2. One page per recurring event

A single address for each annual event, with the current date at the top and past editions listed below.

Result: The festival keeps one address from year to year.

  3. Class and teacher pages

A page for each class naming the art form, the teacher, the level and the venue.

Result: A parent searching for a class can read who teaches it and where.

  4. Archive pages with real text

Programmes, names of performers (with consent) and short write-ups of past events placed on pages as text.

Result: Past events can be found by a search for their title.

  5. Site check

A review of titles, headings, page speed on a phone and links between pages.

Result: A list of fixes the volunteer who edits the site can follow.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Will the society page rank first for our festival?
Nobody can promise a position. We prepare pages that match what people type and can be read by a search engine. Check the platform's current rules and your own results.
Do we need to write pages in our language?
Pages in the community language reach the people who search in it. Your own writer or translator prepares that text, and the page can carry both the local-script and English names of the event.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
