Environmental NGOs · Local SEO

Put your clean-up on the map where the neighbours are already looking.

Local SEO for an environmental NGO is making your group and its sites easy to find on maps and in local searches by the people who live a short walk from the work. GullySales works on the listing, the site descriptions and the local mentions behind that.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For environmental NGOs

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The neighbours are your volunteers”

The person who joins a Sunday clean-up lives a few streets of the lake. They look at a map, not a national website. A listing with the right meeting point and time reaches the right person.

  • “The meeting point is never the postal address”

Volunteers gather at a particular gate, a temple steps or a bus stop. A listing that only shows the office address sends people to the wrong end of the lake and they go home.

  • “Your listing may describe you as an office”

A group that works outdoors can be filed as an organisation with an office. The description, the photographs and the stated activity need to show the work at the site, so a searcher understands what they will find.

  • “Local mentions come from local bodies”

The ward office, a residents' federation, a school and a nature club each describe your work in their own words. A consistent name and address across those mentions tells search that you are the real group at that site.

What we do

What we deliver for environmental NGOs.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A claimed and checked listing

Your NGO's listing claimed, with the right name, area, contact and activity, checked against what the group actually does.

Result: Searching your name shows the same details everywhere.

  2. A meeting point entered clearly

The gate, landmark and time written into the description and, where the platform allows, a post for each event.

Result: A new volunteer can find the starting spot from the listing alone.

  3. Site photographs that show the work

A set of photographs of the place and the activity, taken with the consent of anyone clearly shown.

Result: The listing shows a lake or a forest, not an empty office.

  4. A name and address kept the same

One agreed way of writing your name and area across your site, social pages and local directories.

Result: The details match wherever a searcher finds you.

  5. A review ask for volunteers

A short, polite request to people who joined an event, with the link ready on a poster or in the group.

Result: Recent reviews come from people who came to a site.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

We have no office. Can we still have a listing?
That depends on the platform's current rules for groups without a storefront or a staffed address. Check them before you publish. If a listing is not allowed, the site pages and local mentions still do the work.
Should each lake get its own listing?
Only if the platform's rules allow it and the place has its own regular activity and contact. Otherwise, one listing for the group and a separate page on your site for each lake is the safer shape.
How do we handle reviews that criticise an event?
Reply plainly, say what you will change, and keep the tone civil. A visible, calm answer tells a new volunteer that someone is paying attention.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
