Manufacturers' associations · Search engine optimisation

Make the estate appear when a buyer searches for a process near it.

SEO for a manufacturers' association is the work of making its pages appear when buyers search for a process, a material or an estate by name. GullySales works on the pages, titles and member information that match those searches and on keeping them accurate.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For manufacturers' associations

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Buyers search for a process, not an association”

A purchase engineer types a process such as pressure die casting or powder coating, with a place name. An association site that lists only office bearers and notices does not answer that search, so a marketplace page does.

  • “Estate names are spelt several ways”

The same estate appears in official records, local speech and old letters under different spellings. A page that uses only one spelling misses buyers who type another, and the names need to be gathered from the office itself.

  • “Member pages sit as one long list”

A single page with every member's name gives a search engine and a reader nothing to tell the sheds apart. Each process deserves its own page that names the members who do it, with their consent.

  • “Old notices crowd the site”

Circulars about a power shutdown from years ago remain on the site and appear in search. A buyer who lands on one concludes that the association is inactive.

What we do

What we deliver for manufacturers' associations.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A process page plan

A list of the processes and materials in the estate, each given a page with the members that perform it.

Result: A page plan the secretary can read and correct against the real sheds.

  2. Page titles and descriptions

Written for each page in the words a buyer types, with the estate name spelt the ways it is searched.

Result: Each page shows a clear title in search results.

  3. Member entries written once

Each entry confirmed with the owner by phone and kept consistent wherever it appears.

Result: A member sees the entry and approves it before publication.

  4. A notice clean-up

Old circulars moved to an archive page and kept out of the way of buyer searches.

Result: The pages a buyer lands on carry current information only.

  5. Search Console set-up

Access to Google's free search reports, shared with the office, so the committee can see what visitors searched for.

Result: The office can see the searches that brought visitors.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these manufacturers' associations.

  • Industrial estate associations for a single estate or phase
  • District or taluk manufacturers' associations
  • Associations of small-scale and micro enterprises
  • Sector-specific groups such as foundries, engineering, plastics or garment makers
  • Women-owned and first-generation manufacturers' groups
  • Associations with a common facility centre or testing lab
  • Export-oriented manufacturers' groups
  • Associations linked to a nearby large buyer's vendor base

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a new site for SEO?
Not always. We first check what the present site can do. If pages cannot be added or edited by the office, we say so and recommend what to change.
Will we reach the top of Google?
Nobody can promise a position. We work on pages that answer buyer searches and report what the search reports show.
Who writes the process pages?
We draft them from the facts members confirm. The office reads each one before it goes live, so nothing is published that an owner has not agreed.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
