Commercial photographers · Local SEO

Show up on the map when a business near you needs pictures for its products.

Local SEO for a commercial photographer is the work of appearing in map results and city-wise searches when a nearby business looks for a studio or a location shooter. GullySales works on the profile, the studio details and the reviews behind that result.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Photographers and videographers: show a real physical business scene illustrating Booking calendar with advances. Show each date with the event, package, advance and crew assigned, so a clash surfaces before you confirm a second booking.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For commercial photographers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A studio address gives the owner a reason to ring”

A manufacturer in an industrial area wants pictures shot close by, with a studio the team can visit to approve the set. A profile with a clear address, a way to reach the studio and photographs of the space tells that buyer you are near enough.

  • “Service area and studio are two different statements”

A photographer who travels to factories and restaurants serves an area, and one who shoots in a studio serves a location. Mixing the two on a profile confuses the search result. Choose which you are, and state the travel range in the description.

  • “Reviews from brands read differently from reviews of a salon”

A line saying the shoot was lovely says little to a brand manager. A review naming the subject, the number of products shot and whether the dates were met tells a buyer what to expect. Asking clients to describe the shoot gives future buyers what they need.

  • “Directory listings repeat your details in places buyers look”

JustDial and photographer directories show your name, address and phone. If the studio name is spelled three ways across them, the map result loses confidence in all of them. One spelling, copied exactly, keeps the listings consistent.

What we do

What we deliver for commercial photographers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A complete Google Business Profile

Studio address, hours, services, travel range and sample pictures for each subject you shoot.

Result: A profile a nearby brand manager can use to judge you in a moment.

  2. Subject and city pages on the website

Pages such as product photography in your city, each describing the brief and linking to the profile.

Result: A search for a subject plus your city finds a page of yours.

  3. A review request written for brands

A short message sent after delivery asking the client to name the subject, the scope and how the shoot went.

Result: Reviews that describe the work in the words a buyer looks for.

  4. Consistent listings across directories

The same name, address and phone entered on JustDial and relevant directories.

Result: One spelling of the studio across every listing.

  5. Replies to reviews and questions

Written replies to every review and to any question left on the profile.

Result: A buyer sees that the studio answers people.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We shoot on location. Do we still need a studio address?
If clients never visit, you can hide the address and set a service area. If they do visit for approvals or small shoots, show it. Check the platform's current rules for each choice.
Should we list every subject on the profile?
List the subjects you want to be hired for, not every job you have done. A focused list helps the right buyer find you and the wrong one move on.
Will local SEO bring national brands?
It brings the businesses near you. National brands come by referral and by portfolio, so local work and agency outreach should run together.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
