Sand and aggregate suppliers · Search engine optimisation

Be the page a builder finds when searching for a load of sand.

SEO for a sand and aggregate supplier is the work of making your delivery pages appear when a builder searches for a material and a town. GullySales works on the material pages, the town pages and the on-page details that let a site supervisor compare you with the next quote.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For sand and aggregate suppliers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Builders search by material, not by company”

The words typed are M-sand, 20 mm jelly, GSB, filling earth and a town. A site that says only that you are a leading supplier matches none of them, while a page per material matches the search exactly.

  • “A rate that is hidden loses the click”

A supervisor comparing three suppliers opens the page that shows a rate by distance and closes the one that says call for price. The page does not need a fixed price, only an honest range and a date on it.

  • “Names differ town to town”

The same product is called by different local names and spellings across the south, north and west. Pages should use the name your buyers say aloud, with the standard grade beside it, so both searches arrive.

  • “A stock photo of a quarry makes the page forgettable”

Photographs of your own yard, your own tippers and a lot being loaded show a real supplier. A builder deciding between two numbers picks the one that looks like a working yard.

What we do

What we deliver for sand and aggregate suppliers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page for each material

Sand, M-sand, 20 mm, 40 mm, GSB and road base, each with grade, load size, area and how to order.

Result: Each material has its own address that a search can match.

  2. A page for each town you deliver to

Delivery-area pages with distance bands, the yard the load leaves from and the zones covered.

Result: A builder in a listed town finds a page that names the town.

  3. Titles and descriptions written in buyer words

Page titles built from the material, the town and the word delivered, as buyers type them.

Result: Search results show a title a supervisor recognises.

  4. A rate table with a date

One table of rates by distance with the date it was set, kept in step with the office list.

Result: The page and the desk quote the same figure.

  5. Photographs from your own yard

A short set of images of the yard, stacks, tippers and loading, named for the material.

Result: The page shows a real operation, not a catalogue.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Can you promise a first-page result?
No. Search results are decided by the search engine and change. We fix the pages, titles and details that you control and record where you appear.
Do I need a website for SEO?
Yes, a simple one is enough. It needs pages for materials and towns, a rate table and an order button that reaches a phone someone answers.
Should rates be published?
A rate by distance band, with a date, helps a buyer decide. If prices move from day to day, say so on the page and keep the update in one place.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
