AgriTech startups · CRM

Keep farmers, dealers, pilots and partner talks in one record the team shares.

A CRM for an AgriTech startup is a shared record of every user group, pilot, partner conversation and follow-up, so that field agents and the founder see the same picture. GullySales sets up the stages, fields and habits for your sales route, using a tool already in ordinary use in India.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What CRM means

A CRM is the record where every enquiry, call and quote is kept against a customer, replacing separate notebooks, spreadsheets and memory. GullySales sets up or cleans an existing CRM and reports from it by enquiry outcome rather than by activity logged.

For AgriTech startups

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Two sales routes need two pipelines”

Village adoption and partner sales move differently. One pipeline with a single set of stages makes a pilot with a bank look like a demo with a farmer group, and the data means nothing.

  • “Pilot status lives in messages”

Who agreed to what, when the pilot started and what the partner said in the last call sit across WhatsApp chats and notebooks. When a founder travels, nobody else can say where a pilot stands.

  • “Field agents work offline and forget to log”

A visit in a village with weak signal ends with no entry, since the agent plans to update later. A form that works on a basic phone and takes a minute gets filled.

  • “Lost deals teach nothing when unrecorded”

A pilot that did not convert has a reason: price, timing, a missing feature or a changed contact. Without a lost reason field, the team repeats the same mistake.

What we do

What we deliver for AgriTech startups.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Two pipelines with clear stages

One for village and farmer groups, one for partners and pilots, each with entry and exit conditions.

Result: Every contact sits at a stage anyone can read.

  2. Pilot record template

A structure for each pilot: partner, agreed measure, start, review owner, outcome and next step.

Result: Every pilot has an agreed measure on file.

  3. Field entry form

A short mobile form for agents to log visits, interest and next action, designed for poor connectivity.

Result: Field visits reach the record the same day.

  4. Lost-reason and source fields

Required fields recording why a deal ended and where it came from.

Result: You can read which routes and reasons repeat.

  5. Team habit guide

A one-page guide on who updates what, when the record is reviewed and how contacts are handed over.

Result: The record is trusted because everyone uses it the same way.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries logged in the CRM
  • Data completeness
  • Reports generated from CRM data

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Fields worth keeping

The fields an AgriTech startup needs across farmers, dealers and payers.

Pipeline: user route or payer route
Set by whoever creates the record. Farmers and partners have different stages, so one board with both hides where each stalls.
Pilot status and measure agreed
Filled by the pilot lead. Lets the founder see which pilots have a measure and which are running without one.
Crop season and pilot start date
Filled when the pilot is planned. Lets the team see which pilots will miss a season if a step slips.
Field agent who made contact
Filled in the field form. Lets the sales lead see which agents bring leads and who needs help with the record.
Lost reason and source
Filled when a deal closes lost. Shows whether deals are lost on price, timing or trust, and which route brought them.
Consent to be contacted
Filled at first contact. Lets the team message farmers and partners only through the channel they agreed to.

Who it is for

This is written for these AgriTech startups.

  • Farm advisory and crop planning apps
  • Agri marketplaces connecting farmers and buyers
  • Soil, water and weather sensor companies
  • Farm finance and credit startups
  • Drone and remote sensing analytics startups
  • Supply chain and traceability platforms
  • Input marketplaces for seed, fertiliser and crop protection
  • Cold chain and post-harvest technology startups

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your field agents work offline and will not enter data later, so the record would hold only what the office meets.
  • You have no defined stages for a pilot, so the status field would hold whatever each person thinks.
  • You hold farm data without a plan for who may see it, so adding it to a shared record would expose it.

How it works

How the CRM work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Map the sales process

We sit with the people who sell and write down how a deal moves from enquiry to payment, including where it stalls.

  2. 2

    Agree stages, fields and owners

Each stage gets a name your team already uses and a proof that the deal has left it. We agree which fields are required at which stage, and who may change what.

  3. 3

    Build on a copy

Pipeline, fields and views are built on a trial copy where the CRM offers one, or in a separate pipeline where the plan allows. Live work stays untouched.

  4. 4

Connect channels, then switch on automations

Channels are connected first. Each automation is then switched on separately, so a misfiring rule is easy to find.

  5. 5

    Test with real deals

The people who will use the CRM run open deals through it. Gaps are fixed before the whole team switches over.

  6. 6

    Switch over and trim

Once real use shows which fields stay empty and which stages nobody uses, those are cut and the handover record is updated.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales management. A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3 · you are here

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which CRM tool should we use?
One your team will open daily. A spreadsheet works to start; HubSpot or Zoho CRM, both in ordinary use in India, suit a team that has grown past it. We set up the structure in whichever you choose.
Do farmers go into the CRM?
Users and groups you work with do, but store only what you need and have the person's permission for. Keep contact details protected and limit who can see them.
Can the CRM show pilot results?
It records the agreed measure and the outcome you enter. The results themselves come from your own product data, which you attach or link.
Do farmers go into the CRM?
Record a farmer who is a lead or pilot user, with consent, and keep the product's own user data in the product. A CRM holds the relationship, not the usage data. Farm information is private, so GullySales limits access by role.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
