Franchise development companies · Lead generation

Find investors who can fund a unit and brand owners who need a placement partner.

Lead generation for a franchise development firm means two streams of enquiry: investors who want to buy a unit, and founders who want a firm to sell for them. GullySales works on both streams, kept apart so that a candidate enquiry never sits in the same list as a mandate prospect.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For franchise development companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “An investor enquiry is worthless without capital and a site”

A caller who loves a brand but has no money set aside and no shop or land in view takes the same telephone time as a serious buyer. The firm that asks about budget and property in the first conversation spends its hours on the people who can sign.

  • “The brand owner is a different buyer on a different clock”

A founder weighing whether to franchise is not scrolling listings. The founder is reading about firms, asking peers and comparing proposals. Leads for mandates come from visible judgement, such as a readiness note, and not from a forms-heavy landing page.

  • “One candidate can fit several brands”

An investor who rejects a restaurant brand may be a good match for a retail or education brand held by the same firm. Treating each enquiry as belonging to one mandate wastes the pool the firm has already paid to build.

  • “A portal listing brings volume, not fit”

Listing a brand on a franchise portal produces calls from people browsing every brand in the sector. Without a sorting step, the team answers the same opening questions again and again.

What we do

What we deliver for franchise development companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Two enquiry routes with their own forms

One route for investors, asking for city, capital range and property. One for brand owners, asking for outlet count and what the founder wants from a partner.

Result: A new enquiry arrives labelled as an investor or a founder before anyone reads it.

  2. Brand-by-brand candidate pages

A page for each active brand carrying the investment range, the support offered and the facts the brand has approved, with its own enquiry route.

Result: Enquiries are traceable to the brand that drew them.

  3. Qualifying questions before the first call

A short set of questions on capital, location and prior business experience, answered in the form or on a first WhatsApp message.

Result: The team can see which enquiries are ready for a conversation.

  4. A brand-owner readiness page

A page that tells a founder what a franchise-ready brand looks like and invites them to send outlet details for a reply.

Result: Founders reach the firm having already seen how it thinks.

  5. Source tracking for every enquiry

A record of whether the enquiry came from search, a portal, a referral, an event or outreach.

Result: The owner can see which source brings serious investors and which brings idle callers.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to capture or send

What an investor enquiry records before a brand is offered.

Capital the investor can commit
Chosen as a band on the form and confirmed on the first call. It stops the firm from sending a brand the person cannot fund.
Site in hand or still to find
Asked at the first call. A person with a shop ready can be matched at once; one without a site needs a different conversation.
Trade experience
A line on what the person has run before. It decides if they suit a food unit, a service brand or a retail format.
Territory wanted
A city or region noted by the recruiter. It shows which mandates are open there and which are taken.
Involvement the investor expects
Whether they will run the unit or hire a manager. It separates owner-operators from those who want a hands-off unit.
Brands already shared with them
Written by the recruiter after each call. It stops a candidate being pitched the same brand twice or by two people.

Who it is for

This is written for these franchise development companies.

  • Firms that sell franchises for food and beverage brands
  • Franchise development firms for retail and fashion brands
  • Education and training franchise placement agencies
  • Health, wellness and salon franchise recruiters
  • Franchise recruiters working with home service brands
  • Master and area franchise placement firms
  • Franchise portals that also run a placement desk
  • Independent franchise recruiters working with a few brands

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You hold no brand with an open territory today, so an investor enquiry would meet nothing to offer
  • The team has no way to screen capital and site, and every enquiry would take a full call to find it unserious
  • A brand has not yet agreed in writing how candidates are shared, and leads gathered now would be disputed later

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We ask how many enquiries your team can answer well, who answers after hours, and what a good enquiry looks like. Without this, the system fills a funnel nobody is watching.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We read your call log, WhatsApp chats, enquiry sheet and platform dashboards. The baseline is recorded: enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Search and maps are chosen for people ready to buy, ads for people who are not yet looking, and content and referrals for trust.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms, tags, the lead record and the first-reply message are built and tested end to end. We submit test enquiries ourselves before any media money is spent.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

Enquiries are traced to source and judged by what became orders, not by volume alone. Channels that fill the sheet with poor enquiries are cut back. How often you are reported to is agreed in writing.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we run lead generation for every brand we hold?
Not at the same pace. Start with the brands that have the clearest unit economics and a founder who supplies photos and reference partners, then add others as their material arrives.
How do we avoid paying for idle enquiries?
Put the capital and property questions in front of the caller, and tell the audience plainly what the brand costs to join. Honest framing keeps out people who cannot proceed.
What decides whether lead generation works for a placement firm?
The number of open mandates matched to what investors can fund. Enquiries are plentiful; a fit between capital, site and territory is rare. If the firm holds only high-investment brands, a low-budget enquiry cannot be placed, so aim spend at the investors your mandates suit.
Should lead generation chase brand owners as well?
Yes, on a separate route. A brand owner is a mandate, the supply the investor leads depend on. They search for how placement works and what it costs, not for a franchise to buy, so give them their own page and their own follow-up.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
