Rooftop solar companies · Digital marketing

Spend where a roof owner is already searching, and count roofs rather than clicks.

Digital marketing for a rooftop solar company is the mix of search, maps, paid ads, social posts and messaging that brings a roof owner to your survey. GullySales works on choosing the channels, setting a plain scorecard and reading the results against signed orders.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For rooftop solar companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Channels suit different buyers”

Search and maps reach the homeowner with a bill in hand. Introductions and written quotes reach the society. A direct approach and a payback sheet reach the factory. A single channel plan serves none of them well.

  • “Clicks are not the scoreboard”

A campaign that brings visitors and no surveys has failed, however cheap each click. Count enquiries that pass the screening form, surveys done and orders signed, and work backwards to the channel.

  • “Seasons shape the enquiry”

Bills rise with the cooling load, and exam, budget and festival periods change how institutions decide. Plan spend around when your buyers feel the bill, not around a flat spend figure.

  • “Offline work is part of the funnel”

A banner on a finished plant, a neighbour's recommendation and a dealer tie-up all feed the same enquiry list. If the record has a source field, these appear alongside the online channels.

What we do

What we deliver for rooftop solar companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel plan by buyer type

Which channels serve homes, societies and factories, with a reason for each.

Result: Spend follows a written plan.

  2. A scorecard in your terms

Enquiries screened, roofs surveyed, quotes sent and orders signed, by source.

Result: You read results in sales, not clicks.

  3. Search and map setup

Pages, listing and, where it fits, a paid search campaign aimed at your service area.

Result: Roof owners nearby can find you.

  4. A tracking base

Call tracking, form tagging and a source field so each enquiry carries its origin.

Result: Enquiries are attributed to a channel.

  5. A budget review rhythm agreed with you

A fixed point in your own calendar to compare channels and move spend.

Result: Money moves toward what brings orders.

  6. A website that converts

The pages and forms that turn a visit into a screened enquiry.

Result: The website serves the sales team.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Match each channel to the buyer who uses it.

rooftop solar cost for 3 bedroom house
A search ad to a home page that explains how the quote is built and asks for a bill photograph.
solar for housing society
A society landing page and an introduction route, because societies arrive through another society's referral.
solar plant for factory shed
A targeted ad and a payback explainer for owners who read business news and ask accounts staff to check.
solar installer [city] map
A completed map profile and local listings so a nearby roof owner calls from the map.
net metering process for solar
A dated explainer that draws people at the point they are ready, with a form for a survey.

Who it is for

This is written for these rooftop solar companies.

  • Independent homes and villas
  • Apartment societies and residents' associations
  • Schools, colleges and trust-run institutions
  • Shops, clinics and small commercial buildings
  • Small factories and godowns on shed roofs
  • Farmhouses and agricultural pump users
  • Hospitals and nursing homes with daytime load
  • Hostels, paying guest operators and small hotels

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You cannot survey the roofs that ads would bring, so spend would produce enquiries you turn away.
  • You do not count survey-to-signature, and clicks would be the only scoreboard.
  • Your website has no roof-type page, so an ad would land on a general clean-energy message.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How much should we spend?
Start from what an order is worth to you and what share you can pay for acquiring one. GullySales does not set a figure for you; it helps you test small and read the results.
Is Google advertising worth it?
It suits people searching with a bill in hand. Judge it by screened enquiries and orders, and check the platform's current advertising rules.
Should we do everything at once?
No. Begin with search, the map listing and the quote follow-up. Add channels one at a time so you can see what each contributes.
Do seasons affect solar enquiries?
Summer bills push homes and shops to search, while rains slow roof work and surveys. Plan the budget and the survey diary together, so you do not fill the funnel in a month when roofs cannot be visited.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
