Security services companies · Reputation management

Handle what a committee reads after an incident at somebody else's gate.

Reputation management for a security agency deals with two groups who write about you in public: residents after something happens at a gate, and former guards writing about pay. GullySales sets the reply rule, builds a reference list of managers who will take a call, and keeps client incidents off public threads.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For security services companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Residents and ex-guards write your reviews”

Neither of them buys guarding. Both of them are what a facility manager reads on the evening they shortlist three agencies.

  • “An incident at a client's site is the client's to discuss”

Confirming what happened at a named building can breach your contract and hand a resident's grievance a second life. Say nothing about the site in public.

  • “A society committee changes and starts from a search”

New office bearers review every vendor in their first months. Nine people who have never bought guarding begin by typing your name.

  • “Pay complaints are fixed in accounts, not in a reply”

Guards posting about delayed wages are describing something real. No amount of replying changes what the next guard writes.

What we do

What we deliver for security services companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A watch list of the places buyers look

Google, the job review sites where guards post, the directories carrying your listing and the local pages residents use, all checked.

Result: You find a post before a committee does.

  2. A reply rule that never names a site

Who answers, how fast, and a line that acknowledges a concern and moves it to a call without confirming any client, guard or incident.

Result: Nobody at your end makes a bad week worse.

  3. A reference list kept current

Two or three facility managers and committee members who have agreed to speak to a prospect, asked again before each use.

Result: A cautious buyer gets a conversation rather than a logo.

  4. A review ask at renewal time

A short request to the client contact when a contract renews cleanly, which is the moment they are most willing.

Result: The rating starts reflecting your clients, not your leavers.

  5. A stated route for guard grievances

A named person, a number and a stated turnaround for pay and posting complaints, published internally and honoured.

Result: Complaints arrive at your office instead of a review page.

  6. Rating read next to renewals

New reviews, average rating and reply time, reported beside contracts renewed and lost, against the baseline recorded before work starts.

Result: You see when reputation is costing you sites.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to do with each review

How to answer each kind of review a security agency gets.

Praise from a facility manager
Thank them and ask in a separate call whether you may use their company name as a reference. Do not name the site in public unless the client has said yes.
Guard rude or asleep on duty
Do not argue or name the guard. Say you have taken it up with the site supervisor and ask for the shift by phone. Check the supervisor's night-round log for that date.
Post missed or relief not sent
Apologise without naming the site. Check the duty roster and whether a relief guard is arranged when someone is absent. This review is about a gap in the roster.
Claim that you are unlicensed
Show your PSARA licence details on your listing and website, and say so in the reply. Check that the licence is current before you reply, and that your guards carry the ID you say they do.
Invoice or deployment dispute
Reply that you will go through the contract and the muster sheet with them. Check that the invoice matches the posts and shifts the contract names, and that the muster sheet is signed.
A guard praised by name
Thank the client and tell the guard. Ask the guard before using their name or photograph anywhere. Keep incidents and details off public threads.

Who it is for

This is written for these security services companies.

  • Manned guarding for corporate offices
  • Residential society and gated community security
  • Industrial and factory security
  • Retail and mall security
  • Event and venue security
  • CCTV and control room monitoring services
  • Cash and valuables escort services

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • An incident at a client site is still open, and any public reply would need the client's consent first.
  • Guard pay complaints are not resolved in accounts, and a polished reply would only draw more attention to them.
  • You have no reference you may share, so reviews alone would have to carry your name.

How it works

How the reputation management work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Search your name as a stranger would

We search the business, its main product names and the owner's name, on a phone and a laptop, and record what appears.

  2. 2

    Catalogue every mention

Reviews, news, listings, social posts and forum threads are sorted into accurate and positive, accurate and negative, and wrong. Each group gets a different action.

  3. 3

Agree the replies and the owner of each

Replies are drafted and approved by you. Anything involving a refund, a clinical matter, a legal claim or a named employee goes to the right person in your business before anything is posted.

  4. 4

    Fix what you control

Listings, profile details and your own pages are corrected, and pages worth ranking for your name are strengthened with accurate information.

  5. 5

    Monitor and report

The agreed places are checked on the agreed schedule. The name search is repeated and compared with the first record.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales management. A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3 · you are here

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

A resident has posted about a theft at a site we cover. What do we write?
One line saying you take it seriously and a number to call, with no mention of the building, the guard or what happened. Tell your client before you post anything. Their own statement to residents comes first, and your contract probably says so.
Former guards are posting about salary delays. Can we get those removed?
Almost never, and you should not want to. Fix the payment date, tell the current staff it is fixed, and the posts stop being written. Whether any specific post crosses a line is a question for your own legal adviser.
Residents are complaining about us in their WhatsApp group, not on Google. What do we do?
Do not post in the group unless the committee asks you to. Write to the secretary, ask for a short meeting, and bring the duty roster and the incident log. A calm private answer to the committee usually closes the thread.
Can a guard who stopped an incident be thanked in a public review reply?
Thank the client and the team, and say little else. Ask the guard before using their name, and never describe the incident, the site or the people involved. Details can identify a client or invite a dispute.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
