Plywood and timber dealers · Content marketing

Explain the grade, and the cheaper quote stops looking like a bargain.

Content for a depot answers the fear a homeowner cannot resolve: whether the sheet is the grade it claims, and why your rate is higher than the next shop. GullySales writes the grade explainers, the duplicate-sheet check and the selection guides a designer will forward to a client.

A newsstand under a striped awning: three tiers of folded publications racked spine on, one title on the top tier turned to face the street, and a crate of rolled copies at the foot of the stand

What content marketing means

Content marketing is writing articles, guides and pages that answer the questions buyers search before they are ready to enquire. This makes your business visible and trusted before the first call. GullySales plans this content from the free audit onward, choosing topics that match real search demand rather than guesses.

For plywood and timber dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The homeowner has been told to check a mark and cannot

He knows there is a stamp and an IS number somewhere, and nobody has ever shown him what a real one looks like beside a copy.

  • A material list template saves a designer an hour

Quantities by flat size for a kitchen, wardrobes and a false ceiling, with grades filled in. Designers use it, and your name is on it.

  • Timber needs different words from plywood

Seasoning, moisture, species and how a frame behaves through the monsoon. Nobody writing about sheets covers any of that.

What we do

What we deliver for plywood and timber dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Grade explainers written for a homeowner

What BWP, MR and commercial mean in a kitchen, a wardrobe and a shutter, with the standards named and the trade jargon taken out.

Result: A buyer understands why the rate differs.

  2. The duplicate sheet check with photographs

Close-up pictures of a genuine stamp, the batch marking and the edge, set beside what a copy looks like on the same rack.

Result: The fear that stalls a purchase is settled.

  3. Material list templates by flat size

Sheet, laminate and hardware quantities for a one, two and three bedroom flat, ready for a designer to adapt and send on.

Result: Designers pass your document to their clients.

  4. Selection guides by room and finish

Which laminate and veneer suits a kitchen shutter, a wardrobe front and a study, written for the person choosing rather than the fitter.

Result: A designer's client stops second-guessing the choice.

  5. A timber and seasoning note

What seasoning does, how a teak frame behaves through the monsoon and what to check when a door swells, written for a house owner.

Result: Timber buyers stop treating every yard as the same.

  6. Pages traced to enquiries each month

Which explainer produced calls and which produced nothing, measured against the position before the first one went up.

Result: You write more of what buyers act on.

How the result is measured

  • Pages published
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from content pages

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for plywood and timber dealers

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where your sales come from: carpenters, designers, builders or walk-ins, and which of them have gone quiet in the last year.

  2. 2

Fix the quote and credit record

A single log for quotes and a credit routine for trade accounts, so orders are followed up and dues are collected.

  3. 3

    Build the trust material

A grade explainer, depot photographs, a brand list and a review routine that answers a homeowner's fear of paying for a fake sheet.

  4. 4

Reach the people who send buyers

A carpenter programme, interior designer visits, builder outreach and local search for homeowners buying directly.

  5. 5

    Keep the referrers active

Monthly contact with every active carpenter and designer, a thank-you for each client referred, and a call to anyone who stops.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Does explaining grades cost us the cheaper sale?
It costs you the buyer who was always going to take the cheapest sheet, and you were not making money on him anyway. The buyer who learns what BWP is rated for stops treating your quote as overpriced.
Who reads this, the carpenter or the customer?
The customer and the designer. The carpenter already knows. The point is that the customer can check the carpenter's advice, which is exactly the conversation where your depot gets named.
Can marketing really help a plywood dealer when carpenters decide?
Yes, when the marketing is aimed at the carpenter and the designer as much as the homeowner. Most of the work is a referrer programme and regular contact, with local search to catch the buyers who come directly.
How do we stop customers comparing us with cheaper fake sheets?
By explaining the grade and showing the proof. A plain page on BWP and MR grades, the ISI marking and the batch details on the sheet lets a homeowner see why the rate differs.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
