Plywood and timber dealers · Reputation management

The complaint is about the delivery day, or a sheet that warped.

Reputation for a depot runs on two tracks: the reviews a homeowner leaves about delivery and grade, and what carpenters say about you in their own groups. GullySales sets the review ask to the delivery day, writes the replies for warping and delay, and checks on carpenters who go quiet.

A statue plinth seen close: the bronze figure implied only by its feet and the hem of its drapery above the top of the frame, one face of the stone pedestal scrubbed pale and the other still grimy and carrying a scrawl of paint, with a pressure hose coiled on the steps beside a bucket, brushes and cloths

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For plywood and timber dealers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • A warped sheet is blamed on you, not on the brand

The customer bought from your depot, so the complaint carries your name even when the sheet came sealed from the company.

  • Your trade reputation lives in a WhatsApp group

Carpenters compare depots on rate, stock and whether the lorry turned up, and none of that ever reaches a review page.

  • The homeowner review comes months late

Interiors finish, the family moves in, and only then does anyone think of writing. Ask on delivery day or never.

What we do

What we deliver for plywood and timber dealers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A review ask on the delivery day

The request made by whoever hands over the material, with the link ready, while the customer is pleased the lorry came on time.

Result: Reviews arrive while the job is fresh.

  2. Replies written for warping and delay

Short responses for the two complaints a depot always collects, saying what the grade is rated for and what you will do about it.

Result: Nobody argues with a customer in public.

  3. Stock and godown photographs on the listings

Pictures of the racks, the cutting machine, the seasoned timber and the delivery lorry, replacing the single shopfront photograph.

Result: A buyer can see the depot is real.

  4. A check-in on carpenters who have gone quiet

A monthly list of carpenters who stopped buying, with a call asking what happened rather than waiting for the sales figure to show it.

Result: You hear about the problem in the trade first.

  5. Alerts on the depot name and the market road

Watches on the depot name, its spellings and the market you sit in, so a public complaint reaches you before a customer reads it out.

Result: You find it before the next buyer does.

  6. Reviews reported with the reason behind each

A monthly note of new reviews, the rating and whether it was grade, rate or delivery, read against the position when work began.

Result: You can see whether one thing keeps going wrong.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for plywood and timber dealers

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at where your sales come from: carpenters, designers, builders or walk-ins, and which of them have gone quiet in the last year.

  2. 2

Fix the quote and credit record

A single log for quotes and a credit routine for trade accounts, so orders are followed up and dues are collected.

  3. 3

    Build the trust material

A grade explainer, depot photographs, a brand list and a review routine that answers a homeowner's fear of paying for a fake sheet.

  4. 4

Reach the people who send buyers

A carpenter programme, interior designer visits, builder outreach and local search for homeowners buying directly.

  5. 5

    Keep the referrers active

Monthly contact with every active carpenter and designer, a thank-you for each client referred, and a call to anyone who stops.

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

A customer says the sheet warped. What do we reply?
Say what that grade is rated for, say you will look at the sheet, and give a number. Do not argue about wet-area use in public. If it was sold for the wrong application, an honest reply protects you better than a defence.
How do we get reviews when the carpenter buys and the owner pays?
Ask whoever takes delivery at the flat, which is usually the owner or a family member. The carpenter will not write one. Delivery day is the only moment the owner stands in front of your material and is pleased about it.
Can marketing really help a plywood dealer when carpenters decide?
Yes, when the marketing is aimed at the carpenter and the designer as much as the homeowner. Most of the work is a referrer programme and regular contact, with local search to catch the buyers who come directly.
How do we stop customers comparing us with cheaper fake sheets?
By explaining the grade and showing the proof. A plain page on BWP and MR grades, the ISI marking and the batch details on the sheet lets a homeowner see why the rate differs.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
