Architecture firms · Local SEO

Show up on Maps for the areas you will really travel to for site visits.

Local SEO for an architecture practice is the Google Business Profile, the pin on a studio door nobody can find, and the areas you name as your working radius. GullySales sets the Profile up for a studio rather than a shop, fixes the directions and builds the review ask into handover.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For architecture firms

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A first-floor studio in a residential lane is hard to find”

The client coming for a first meeting circles the block twice, because the pin sits on the main road and there is no board at the gate. That arrival shapes their opinion before they see a drawing.

  • “Your catchment is where you will drive for inspections”

A practice in Jayanagar taking a plot in Mysuru is committing to that road through the whole construction stage, so the areas on the Profile should be the ones you will genuinely serve.

  • “The review arrives long after the enquiry did”

A client can write honestly about you only once they have lived in the house, which is a year or more after they signed. Ask at handover or nobody asks at all.

What we do

What we deliver for architecture firms.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A Business Profile built for a studio, not a shop

Category set to architect, hours a studio actually keeps, and photographs of finished projects and the working studio instead of a stock exterior.

Result: The listing looks like a practice somebody would commission.

  2. A pin and directions a first-time client can follow

The pin moved to the right gate, with the floor, the lane and the nearest landmark written into the description.

Result: Nobody arrives late and irritated to the first meeting.

  3. A stated working radius

The cities and areas you will travel to for site visits, named on the Profile and repeated on the contact page so a distant enquiry knows where it stands.

Result: Enquiries come from plots you would actually take on.

  4. A review ask built into handover

A short request made at the handover meeting, when the client is standing in the finished house and the link is ready on a phone.

Result: Reviews come from clients with something real to say.

  5. Profile calls and direction taps counted on their own

Enquiries from the listing tracked apart from portfolio enquiries, so a Maps call is not confused with a referral.

Result: You know whether the listing is earning its place.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a plot owner nearby finds an architect, and what to fix first.

Primary category
Set Architect as the main category. Add interior designer only if you take interiors as a separate paid job. A mixed profile draws furniture and decor searchers who will never sign a design agreement.
Project types as services
List villa design, apartment layouts, plan sanction drawings and renovation, whichever you do. Add Vastu-compliant planning only if you offer it. Each entry should say what the client receives, not the style you admire.
Where you will inspect
Name the districts and layouts you drive to for site visits, since a plot owner wants the architect who can reach the plot. Match the list to the pages on your website, so the profile and the site agree.
Council and institute credentials
State your Council of Architecture registration as it appears on the certificate. If you are a member of your Indian Institute of Architects chapter, say so on the profile and the chapter's member list.
Houzz and Justdial
Houzz suits residential portfolios, and Justdial brings the plot owner who starts with a phone search. Claim what already exists, remove duplicates, and keep the firm name identical to your letterhead.
Handover review
At the key-handover, send the client a link to review the studio, not only the house. Ask for the project type to be named, such as a villa or a renovation, because searchers read for that.

Who it is for

This is written for these architecture firms.

  • Residential and villa architecture practices
  • Commercial and corporate campus architecture firms
  • Hospitality architecture practices
  • Institutional architecture firms, schools and hospitals
  • Interior-architecture hybrid practices
  • Sustainable and green building specialists
  • Practices working on government and public sector tenders
  • Boutique single-principal practices

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Your studio is in a private home and the family does not want visitors, so an address on the map would send people to a door you will not open
  • You work across the state and rarely meet clients at the studio, so a listing built around one street reaches the wrong people
  • You have no completed project in the area the listing would name, and a profile with no local work earns no trust

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Write down what is true

Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.

  2. 2

    Search as your buyer does

We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.

  3. 3

    Fix the profile first

Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.

  4. 4

Build the branch pages and match the listings

Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.

  5. 5

    Ask, reply and measure

We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

We work across the state. Is a Maps listing still worth it?
Yes. The listing answers the search made nearby, and the working radius on it tells someone farther away that you travel. Both are true at once, and the Profile is where you say so.
Our studio is a room in the house. Should we publish the address?
Only if you are willing to receive a client there. Otherwise set it as a service area business, keep the address hidden and name the areas you work in.
Can we add photographs of a client's house to the profile?
Only with the client's written permission, and without the address, name plate or family in the frame. Many owners will agree to interiors only. Caption by project type and locality, never the street. A refusal costs you one photograph, and a complaint costs you the relationship.
A former partner started a listing under our old firm name. How do we deal with it?
Claim your own profile first, then report the other as a duplicate or misleading through Maps, with the partnership deed or registration papers showing the name is yours. If the partner also uses the name offline, settle that in writing, because Google will not decide who owns a name.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
