Structural and civil engineers · Reputation management
A committee asks three other buildings about you before calling.
Reputation for a structural engineer is what an architect, a builder and an apartment secretary say when somebody asks about you. It is also what a contractor says the day a crack appears. GullySales sets up the monitoring, the review routine and the site record that answers a dispute with facts.
Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means
Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

Sales and marketing for structural and civil engineers, the overview.

For structural and civil engineers
Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.
“The blamed design is this trade's reputation risk”
When something goes wrong on site, the contractor's first move is to say the drawing was wrong. Without a stage record the owner hears two opinions.
“Committees ask other committees”
A secretary rings the secretary of a building you audited. What that person says about your report and your conduct on site decides the appointment.
“Engineers will not ask for reviews, so they have none”
Most structural practices have an empty Maps listing, while a testing agency that does no design work has forty ratings above them.
What we do
What we deliver for structural and civil engineers.
Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.
A stage inspection record shared with the owner
A photographed note after each check recording what was inspected and approved before a pour, issued to the owner at the time.
Result: A later dispute is answered with dated evidence.
Monitoring across Maps and local forums
Regular checks of your listing, association groups and the local forums where committees ask about engineers and testing agencies.
Result: A damaging comment is found while it is still one comment.
Review asks once a report is presented
A short request to the secretary after the audit has gone to the members, worded around the method and the clarity of the report.
Result: Reviews come from people who saw the work properly.
Reply wording for a disputed design
A calm, factual response that refers to the inspection record and the scope agreed, prepared before anybody needs it.
Result: A public dispute is answered without an argument.
Written references from architects and committees
Short notes collected from practices and associations you have worked for, kept for proposals and empanelment.
Result: You have proof to send a committee that has never met you.
A summary of mentions and references
New reviews, replies, references collected and anything unresolved, reported against the baseline recorded before work starts.
Result: The practice knows where it stands each month.
How the result is measured
- Average rating
- Response time to reviews
- Negative mentions resolved
Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.
What to do with each review
How to answer each kind of review a structural engineer gets.
- Praise from an architect
- Thank them and say what the project was in general words. Ask whether you may be named in their project note. Do not post drawings or building names without the owner's permission.
- Fee complaint from a plot owner
- Reply with what the fee covers: design, drawings, site visits and the stage checks in the agreement. Check that every proposal lists the number of site visits and the stages at which you inspect.
- Crack seen after handover
- Do not diagnose in public. Offer an inspection and put the date in your own diary. Check your stage inspection record and the photographs for that building before you arrive.
- Drawings came late
- Say what held them up, such as a revised architectural plan or a missing soil report. Check that your drawing register shows each revision with its date, so you can answer with facts.
- Reviewer is not your client
- If the name matches no project, say so politely and invite them to write in. If it breaks the platform's rules, report it through the platform's own process.
- Praise for a structural audit
- Thank the association by its secretary's name and say nothing about the findings. Ask whether the committee will give you a signed reference, and let them decide what is shared.
Who it is for
This is written for these structural and civil engineers.
- Structural design consultancies for residential and commercial buildings
- Independent structural engineers working with architects
- Structural audit, testing and retrofitting specialists
- Pre-engineered and steel building design consultants
- Civil engineering consultancies for roads, drainage and site development
- Proof checking and peer review consultants
- Geotechnical and soil investigation firms
- Project management and site supervision consultancies
Not for
It is not the right fit if.
- A dispute with a contractor over a failed slab is still open, and a public reply written now could be used against the practice.
- Owners and committees have not yet received a stage inspection note from you, so a review ask would have little to refer to.
How it works
How the reputation management work runs
The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.
- 1
Search your name as a stranger would
We search the business, its main product names and the owner's name, on a phone and a laptop, and record what appears.
- 2
Catalogue every mention
Reviews, news, listings, social posts and forum threads are sorted into accurate and positive, accurate and negative, and wrong. Each group gets a different action.
- 3
Agree the replies and the owner of each
Replies are drafted and approved by you. Anything involving a refund, a clinical matter, a legal claim or a named employee goes to the right person in your business before anything is posted.
- 4
Fix what you control
Listings, profile details and your own pages are corrected, and pages worth ranking for your name are strengthened with accurate information.
- 5
Monitor and report
The agreed places are checked on the agreed schedule. The name search is repeated and compared with the first record.
