General construction contractors · Local SEO

Be the builder an owner finds on the map before ringing anyone else.

Local SEO for a general contractor is the work of making your office, your finished sites and your service area clear to Google Maps and local search. GullySales sets up and maintains the listing, the reviews process and the local pages that owners check before they call.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For general construction contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Owners check the map for a real office”

Before sharing drawings, an owner looks for an address, photographs and some proof that you have built nearby. A builder with no listing, or a listing with only a phone number, looks like a one-man operation.

  • “The service area is never stated”

You work in the town and a few places around it, yet the listing names only a single address. An owner two localities away assumes you do not travel. Naming the areas you serve fixes that.

  • “Reviews from owners are asked for too late”

A contractor remembers to ask for a review after the final bill is settled and the owner is tired. The ask works better at handover, when the building is new and the owner is proud of it.

What we do

What we deliver for general construction contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Google Business Profile set-up

We complete the listing with your office address, work types, service areas, description and project photographs.

Result: A full listing that matches your signboard and visiting card.

  2. Project photographs with place names

Photographs are selected, captioned and added in a regular sequence, with the owner's permission.

Result: A gallery that shows buildings finished in your area.

  3. A review request routine

A short message sent at handover, with the review link, written so the owner can reply in a line.

Result: A routine your site engineer can run without you.

  4. Local pages for each town you serve

One page per town with the jobs done there and how to reach your office.

Result: A page for each place you want enquiries from.

  5. Listing consistency check

Your name, address and phone number are checked across the directories where owners look.

Result: One matching entry everywhere, with the odd ones corrected.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these general construction contractors.

  • Contractors who build independent houses and villas for plot owners
  • Contractors for commercial shells, shops and small offices
  • Contractors who take institutional work such as schools, hostels and trust buildings
  • Contractors working for a handful of builders and developers
  • Contractors who also do repair, extension and strengthening work
  • Contractors who sell labour contracts only, with the client supplying material
  • Contractors who take item-rate work for industries and warehouses
  • Family-run firms handing over to the next generation

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

We work from home. Can we still list the business?
Check the listing rules of the platform for businesses without a shopfront. If you meet a client at the site, a service-area listing may suit you better than showing a home address.
What do we do about a bad review?
Reply politely, state the facts once and offer to talk offline. Do not argue in public. A calm reply is read by the next owner, who is judging how you treat a complaint.
Can you remove a review we think is unfair?
Only the platform can remove a review, and only when it breaks the platform's own rules. We can help you flag it and write the reply. We cannot promise it comes down.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
