General construction contractors · Website

Build a site where an owner can see what you have built before ringing.

A website for a general contractor is the place where an owner, an architect or a trust committee checks that your firm is real, has built something like their plan and answers messages. GullySales plans the pages, writes the copy and sets up the project pages and enquiry form.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What website means

A website is the page a customer lands on after searching, clicking an advert or scanning a code, and it decides whether they call or leave. GullySales builds and maintains sites that load quickly, explain the offer plainly and make the enquiry form or phone number easy to find.

For general construction contractors

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The site shows services but not buildings”

A list of services such as civil work, interiors and renovation says nothing an owner can check. A page for each finished building, with place, size and year, is what turns a visitor into an enquirer.

  • “The enquiry form asks for too little or too much”

A form asking only name and phone brings enquiries you cannot price. A form asking for a long list of details brings none. A short set of building-specific questions finds the balance.

  • “The site cannot be updated by the team”

If every new project needs the web developer, projects never get added and the site grows stale. A simple way for your office to add a page keeps it current.

What we do

What we deliver for general construction contractors.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A site structure for your range

Home, building-type pages, project pages, about, and contact, laid out so each owner finds their route.

Result: A page map approved by you before design begins.

  2. Project page template

A fixed layout with place, built-up area, structure, year, photographs and a note on what you did yourself.

Result: A template your team fills for each completed job.

  3. An enquiry form for building jobs

Fields for plot, building type, drawings and contact preference, sending enquiries to your phone and your record.

Result: A form that brings priceable enquiries.

  4. Copy written in your voice

Plain language for each page, checked for claims we cannot support.

Result: Copy you can stand behind with an owner.

  5. A mobile-first build with basic checks

A site that opens well on a phone, with fixed page titles and a sitemap submitted to search engines.

Result: A site that works on the phone an owner actually uses.

How the result is measured

  • Page load time
  • Bounce rate
  • Enquiries from the website

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these general construction contractors.

  • Contractors who build independent houses and villas for plot owners
  • Contractors for commercial shells, shops and small offices
  • Contractors who take institutional work such as schools, hostels and trust buildings
  • Contractors working for a handful of builders and developers
  • Contractors who also do repair, extension and strengthening work
  • Contractors who sell labour contracts only, with the client supplying material
  • Contractors who take item-rate work for industries and warehouses
  • Family-run firms handing over to the next generation

How it works

How the website work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Confirm structure and content

We agree the site's pages and content needs before design begins, drawing on website strategy where it exists.

  2. 2

    Design the site

Every page is designed against your brand identity and checked for how it should convert a visitor.

  3. 3

    Build and test

The site is developed and tested across devices and browsers before anything goes live.

  4. 4

    Load real content

Actual copy, images and information about your business replace placeholder content before launch.

  5. 5

    Launch and hand over access

The site goes live with domain, hosting and content management access clearly handed to you.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Do we need a big website?
No. A small site with clear pages for your building types and several good project pages does more than a large site of general text. We size it to your finished work.
Who owns the website and domain?
You do. The domain and hosting accounts should be in your name. We set them up that way and give you the logins on handover.
Can we add tender documents and company papers?
Yes, in a section for institutional buyers: company profile, registration papers and past orders. Share only documents you are happy for the public to see.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
