MEP consultants · Search engine optimisation

Be the result a hospital owner finds when searching for a services designer.

SEO for an MEP consultant is making your firm appear when a developer, architect or owner searches for design help on a specific kind of building or system. GullySales works on pages for each building type and system, and on the project descriptions that let a search engine understand what you have designed.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For MEP consultants

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “People search by building, not by discipline”

An owner planning a hotel searches for hotel MEP design or HVAC design for hotels, not for mechanical, electrical and plumbing consultants. One services page cannot answer all of those, so the site loses to firms with a page for each building.

  • “Engineers write for engineers and the owner leaves”

Pages full of load calculation terms satisfy a peer but not the hospital trustee deciding whether to appoint you. The same page needs a plain opening for the owner and the detail underneath for the architect.

  • “Project pages with no names rank for nothing”

A line reading 'commercial complex, south India' gives a searcher nothing to match. A page that names the building type, the systems designed and the city, with the client's permission, gives search engines and buyers something to read.

What we do

What we deliver for MEP consultants.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A page per building type

Hospitals, hotels, offices, apartments, factories and laboratories each get a page naming the systems you design and the specialists you coordinate with.

Result: An owner of any of those buildings lands on a page written about their own.

  2. A page per system

HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing and drainage, fire protection and energy audit, each describing the scope you take and the drawings you issue.

Result: A searcher looking for one system finds a page about it.

  3. Project write-ups built for search

Each project described by building type, city, systems and coordination issues solved, cleared with the client before publishing.

Result: Your best work is readable by search engines and by buyers.

  4. City and region pages

Pages for the cities where you have worked, saying which projects and which kinds of building you have done there.

Result: A search that names your city has a page to return.

  5. A baseline of current searches and enquiries

A record of what the site gets now, taken before the work starts, so changes can be read against it.

Result: Later movement is compared with a stated starting point.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Will SEO bring architects or only owners?
Both search, but for different words. Architects look for a consultant by building type and city; owners search by the problem. We write pages for each, and a ranking is never promised.
Do we need a blog?
Not first. Building-type and system pages come before articles. Later, short articles that answer questions you hear in coordination meetings can bring in searchers at an earlier stage.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
