Retail store designers · Local SEO

Show up on the map when a shopkeeper nearby searches for a store designer.

Local SEO for a retail store designer is the work of appearing in the map results and nearby searches when a shop owner in your city looks for someone to plan a store. GullySales works on the business listing, the area you serve and the reviews that sit beside your name.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For retail store designers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The single shopkeeper looks nearby first”

An owner moving to a larger unit searches on a phone and taps the studio that looks close and real. This buyer wants to visit, see a finished shop and speak to someone in the same town. Chains search differently, and the listing serves the local owner.

  • “A studio listing with no shop photographs looks empty”

Photographs of finished stores, your fixture workshop and the design desk tell a visiting owner you build real shops. A listing with only a logo and an address loses to a competitor who shows sawdust and shelves.

  • “Reviews from shop owners read differently”

A pharmacist writing that the counter flow worked after opening persuades another shopkeeper more than a general compliment. Ask for reviews that name the store type and the town, and reply to each one.

  • “The service area is wider than the supervision you offer”

Listing every district you can name invites enquiries you cannot supervise. Set the area to where your team and contractors work, and describe outstation work separately on the website.

What we do

What we deliver for retail store designers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A verified and complete listing

Name, address, hours, store types served, and a description in the words shopkeepers use.

Result: The listing reads as a working studio.

  2. Photographs from real stores

Finished shops, fixtures in the workshop and the design desk, taken with the owner's permission.

Result: A visiting owner can see your work before calling.

  3. A review request after handover

A short ask made at the opening, with the link ready, inviting the owner to mention the store type.

Result: New reviews name the trade and the town.

  4. Replies to every review

Plain, specific replies, including to a complaint about delay or cost.

Result: A reader sees how you handle a difficult job.

  5. Call and direction counts

The listing's own figures set against the baseline taken at the start.

Result: You can see whether the listing brings contact.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

We serve chains in other cities. Is a local listing still useful?
Yes, for the single-owner enquiries from your own city and nearby towns. Chains find you through other routes, so keep the listing honest about where you work.
Can we list our fixture workshop separately?
Only if it is a distinct place with its own opening hours, and check the platform's current rules. Otherwise, show the workshop in photographs on the studio listing.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
