Furniture stores and retailers · Reputation management

Answer every review, especially the one about a delayed delivery.

Reputation management for a furniture store means replying to every review, particularly delivery delays, since a big-ticket buyer reads recent reviews closely. GullySales writes the replies and prompts satisfied customers for reviews that mention finish and installation quality.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What reputation management means

Reputation management is watching what is said about your business across Google, social media and review sites, and responding to it before it changes a buyer's mind. GullySales monitors mentions, drafts responses to negative reviews and flags recurring complaints back to your team.

For furniture stores and retailers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Delivery complaints need a specific reply”

A generic apology reads worse than a reply explaining what happened and what changed.

  • “Quality prompts get their own review ask”

Asking a customer to mention finish and installation quality builds proof for the next comparison shopper.

  • “Recent reviews carry more weight here”

A customer about to spend significantly checks whether recent experiences are still good, not just the rating.

What we do

What we deliver for furniture stores and retailers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Delivery complaint response templates

Written response templates for delivery delay complaints that explain what happened and what changed, not a generic apology.

Result: A complaint reads as handled, not brushed off.

  2. Finish and installation review prompts

A prompt sent to satisfied customers specifically asking about finish and installation quality.

Result: New reviews give the next comparison shopper the proof they need.

  3. Recent review monitoring

Regular monitoring of recent reviews specifically, since a big-ticket buyer checks whether recent experience is still good.

Result: A slipping recent rating is caught before it costs the next sale.

  4. Prompt response routine for negative reviews

A routine for responding to a negative review quickly, drafted and ready for your team to post.

Result: No negative review sits unanswered for long.

How the result is measured

  • Average rating
  • Response time to reviews
  • Negative mentions resolved

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What to do with each review

How to answer each kind of review a furniture store gets.

Praise for a room set or the showroom staff
Thank them and name the piece, such as the sofa or the dining table. Ask whether they would add a photograph of it at home, since another buyer wants to see it in a real room.
A delayed delivery of a made-to-order piece
Check the order stage: cutting, finishing or transport. Reply with where it stands now after you have called them. Update customers at each stage, so they are not left to ask.
A measurement that did not fit, such as a wardrobe or kitchen
Compare the measurement sheet with the site. Reply that you will re-measure, and then do. Have the customer sign the measurements before work begins.
A cushion that sagged or a mattress that dipped
Check the invoice date and the warranty terms. Reply with how a claim is made, and offer to inspect. Keep photographs and the batch details of each complaint.
A price complaint after an online comparison
Reply with what your price includes, such as delivery, assembly and the after-sales visit. Do not match every online rate. Check which items you price at a thin margin.
A complaint about pressure from showroom staff
Say you are sorry the visit felt like that and that you will speak to the team. Check how walk-ins are greeted and whether staff are paid by the sale in a way that pushes buyers.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Nobody is named to reply to reviews, so a routine would be written and then dropped.
  • You hope to remove honest negative reviews, which this work does not do.

How it works

How the reputation management work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

Search your name as a stranger would

We search the business, its main product names and the owner's name, on a phone and a laptop, and record what appears.

  2. 2

    Catalogue every mention

Reviews, news, listings, social posts and forum threads are sorted into accurate and positive, accurate and negative, and wrong. Each group gets a different action.

  3. 3

Agree the replies and the owner of each

Replies are drafted and approved by you. Anything involving a refund, a clinical matter, a legal claim or a named employee goes to the right person in your business before anything is posted.

  4. 4

    Fix what you control

Listings, profile details and your own pages are corrected, and pages worth ranking for your name are strengthened with accurate information.

  5. 5

    Monitor and report

The agreed places are checked on the agreed schedule. The name search is repeated and compared with the first record.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales management. A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3 · you are here

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How fast should we reply to a negative review?
Within a day where possible, since a slow reply reads as indifference to the next reader.
Can we ask a customer to change a review?
We can ask for an update once resolved; we never ask for a review to be removed unfairly.
A customer says the sofa looked different from the showroom piece. What do we say?
Compare the order sheet with the piece. Natural variation in wood and fabric is normal, but the model, fabric and size should match. Reply with that, offer an inspection, and put the fabric and finish on the order form.
A customer wants to return a made-to-order piece in the review. How do we answer?
Reply with your returns policy for made-to-order items, and say where it is shown. Offer a call. If the item is faulty, fix or replace it. Put the policy on the quote and the advance receipt before the order is placed.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
