Home decor businesses · Search engine optimisation

Rank for the room look and occasion a buyer is searching.

SEO for a home decor business means ranking for room style and occasion searches, such as festive balcony decor, not product names alone. GullySales builds these style pages and reports the enquiries each one brings in.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

For home decor businesses

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Style words outrank product names”

Few buyers search a product's exact name; most search the look, so pages are built around that.

  • “Local search matters for showroom pickup”

A decor business with a showroom or pickup point gains from local search like any retail shop.

  • “Blog content answers styling questions early”

A guide on curtain lengths or lighting for a small room brings traffic a product page would not.

What we do

What we deliver for home decor businesses.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Pages built around room style and occasion searches

Pages written for searches such as festive balcony decor or boho living room, instead of relying on exact product names.

Result: A customer's style-first search finds a page built for it.

  2. A local listing for showroom or pickup

A Google Business Profile completed with the showroom or pickup address and photos, for the local searches a pure catalogue misses.

Result: A nearby customer finds the business the same way they would find any local shop.

  3. Styling guides that answer search questions early

Short guides on questions like curtain lengths or lighting a small room, bringing in search traffic before a product is even chosen.

Result: The business gets found by people still deciding what they need.

  4. A ranking and enquiry check

New occasion and style pages checked for ranking movement and the enquiries they bring in, against the starting baseline.

Result: You see which pages are actually earning their place.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

What a shopper types when decorating a space or looking for a gift, and the page that answers it.

balcony decor ideas for Diwali
An occasion page. Show lights, lanterns, planters and rangoli pieces with size and price, grouped as a set, and link each to the product.
wall art for living room above sofa
A room page. Explain how to size art for a wall, how frames and glass differ, and show the pieces you stock hung in a room.
housewarming gift ideas for a new home
A gifting page. Group pieces by price band, say how you wrap and deliver, and mention that a gift note can be added.
ceramic vase for dining table
A product-type page. Give the height, the material, the care and how you pack it, since buyers of fragile pieces worry about breakage.
boho living room decor
A style page. Show a room built from pieces you sell, name each with its dimensions and price, and offer a styling call.
home decor shop near me
A visit page. Give the address, hours, parking and what is on the floor, and say whether a piece can be reserved for pickup.

Who it is for

This is written for these home decor businesses.

  • Home decor and furnishing boutiques
  • Online-only decor and lifestyle stores
  • Wall art and photo frame sellers
  • Lighting and lamp specialists
  • Curtain and soft furnishing stores
  • Festive and seasonal decor sellers
  • Gifting and home accessory stores
  • Home styling and consultation studios

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The website has no product pages with size and material yet, so a search that finds it would meet little to read
  • You expect rank for a style word within the festival week, and search needs pages published well before it

How it works

How the search engine optimisation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At an interval agreed in writing we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How long does this take?
New occasion pages take months to rank, faster where the site already has some visibility. We can show which looks are already crowded in your city and which nobody has written a page for.
Is this worth it for an online-only store?
Yes, search is often the largest source of customers with no physical location.
Should each product page carry size and material?
Yes. Buyers search by size and material, and returns come from wrong expectations. Put height, width, material, weight and care in plain text beside the photograph. A page with only a picture and a price sends the buyer to ask the question elsewhere.
What should we do with festival pages after the festival?
Keep the page live all year and update it before the next season. A new page each year starts from nothing and loses what the old one built. Take off the dates and offers that have passed, and keep the guide.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
