Cybersecurity companies · Digital marketing

Plan the channels around the deadline that makes a buyer search.

Digital marketing for a cybersecurity company is the set of online channels, from search and LinkedIn to email and partner listings, joined to the audit, regulator and renewal dates that start a purchase. GullySales builds that plan with you, chooses where to spend effort first and reads results against meetings held and engagements signed.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For cybersecurity companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Every channel at once spreads a small team thin”

A firm with a few testers and one marketing person cannot run search, video, ads, email and events together. Picking the two channels that match the buyers you want most is better than a thin presence everywhere.

  • “Clicks from the wrong audience look like success”

Terms such as hacking and cyber security bring students, job seekers and curious readers. A report that counts visits and form fills hides how few were buyers with a budget.

  • “The buying calendar is known and left unused”

Regulator directions, audit seasons, insurance renewals and customer questionnaires fall on predictable dates. Marketing that begins when a deadline is near reaches the buyer while the budget is open.

  • “Marketing and delivery are measured separately”

Leads are counted by marketing, while sales and testers know which ones were real. Without a shared record, the firm cannot tell which channel produced a signed engagement.

What we do

What we deliver for cybersecurity companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A channel plan tied to your buyers

A written plan naming the sectors and roles you want, the channels chosen for each and the ones deliberately left out.

Result: You can say why each channel is on the list.

  2. A calendar of buying triggers

A year view of regulator directions, audit cycles, insurance renewals and your own client assessment dates, with campaign slots against each.

Result: Campaigns arrive before the buyer's search, not after.

  3. Tracking that follows a lead to a signed engagement

Source tags on the website, the contact form and the CRM, so each meeting and each contract can be traced to where it began.

Result: The report names sources by engagements, not clicks.

  4. Search and paid test plan

A small, capped set of paid campaigns on specific service terms, with negative terms for students and jobs, run only when the pages are ready.

Result: Spend goes to buyer searches you chose.

  5. A review of results with sales

A sit-down where the people who took the calls say which leads were real and which sources to drop.

Result: Dropped channels free effort for the ones that worked.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Each deadline that makes a buyer search has a channel that answers it.

VAPT for compliance audit
Answered by service and sector pages and a search test, for a buyer whose auditor has asked for a report before a date.
SOC 2 for SaaS exporter
Answered by a readiness page that states who issues the report, reached through search and a LinkedIn message to founders.
incident response help urgently
Answered by a call-only ad and an incident page with a number somebody answers, for a buyer in the middle of an incident.
security questionnaire from customer
Answered by a page on what the questionnaire needs and how the firm helps, for a founder who received it.
managed SOC provider comparison
Answered by a comparison page and a sample report, read by a buyer with a shortlist.
cybersecurity training for staff
Answered by a training page and partner mentions, kept apart from the audit pages so learners do not clutter the pipeline.

Who it is for

This is written for these cybersecurity companies.

  • VAPT and security audit firms, including CERT-In empanelled auditors
  • Managed security service providers running a SOC for clients
  • Governance, risk and compliance consultancies for ISO 27001, SOC 2 and data protection readiness
  • Security product companies selling endpoint, email, identity or data protection tools
  • Value-added resellers and system integrators for firewall and security OEMs
  • Incident response and digital forensics teams
  • OT and industrial control system security specialists for plants and utilities
  • Security awareness and phishing simulation training providers

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Marketing and delivery are measured by different people who do not meet, so tracking would show clicks and never an engagement.
  • Your team is small and cannot answer more enquiries, so spreading across several channels would reduce attention to each.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should a small security firm start?
With the pages that describe each service and a way to track enquiries into the CRM. Add search, then LinkedIn and partner work. GullySales sets the order after reading how your last signed work actually arrived.
Do we need paid ads?
Not at the start. Paid search suits specific, ready services with a clear page behind them. Decide after the pages and tracking are in place, with a capped budget and an end date you set.
How do we avoid counting students as leads?
Add a form field for the organisation and the reason for the enquiry, and mark training and job requests as separate in the sheet. Students click the same searches as buyers, so raw clicks overstate demand. Judge results by qualified enquiries and engagements, not visits.
How do we use the buying calendar the firm already knows?
List the dates that make buyers search, such as audit seasons, customer renewals and regulator circulars, and plan pages and messages ahead of each. Buyers search when a deadline lands. A message sent after it arrives too late to be read.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
