IT services and networking companies · Digital marketing

Run the year around renewals and audits already sitting in the calendar.

Digital marketing for an IT services firm is the plan that ties search, contractor outreach and client communication to the dates that already matter: contract renewals, licence expiries, audits and office moves. GullySales writes that plan, gives each piece a named owner, and reports on recurring revenue rather than on activity.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What digital marketing means

Digital marketing is the combined work of search, social media, advertising and website channels running together rather than as separate projects with separate people. GullySales runs these as one connected system so a change in one channel, such as a new offer, is reflected everywhere at once.

For IT services and networking companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your best market is the client list you already hold”

Half the offices you support are paying for fewer services than they need, and nobody has looked at that list this year.

  • “The work has seasons even though breakdowns do not”

Cabling and upgrades cluster in school holidays and before the financial year ends, when a floor can be shut for two days.

  • “An engineer-run marketing plan stops the week a site goes down”

Which is why one named person, one hour a week and a written plan beat good intentions from whoever is free.

What we do

What we deliver for IT services and networking companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A plan on one page, with what you are not doing

The services being promoted this year, the buyers each reaches, the channels chosen, and the list of things deliberately left alone until next year.

Result: The team stops starting something new every month.

  2. The renewal and audit calendar as the campaign calendar

Every AMC, warranty, licence and client audit date collected into one calendar, with the outreach for each planned weeks before it falls due.

Result: Campaigns run when the buyer already has the subject open.

  3. A contractor and OEM outreach programme

Scheduled contact with fit-out contractors, building managers and your brand partners, with the co-marketing support each brand offers checked and claimed.

Result: Work arrives through people who see the projects early.

  4. A named owner and a fixed hour each week

One person accountable for the website, the advertising and the client mails, with the hour blocked in their week and agreed before work starts.

Result: Marketing survives a bad week on site.

  5. A report on contracts, not clicks

Enquiries by source, surveys done, contracts won, renewals kept and recurring revenue, measured against the baseline taken at the start.

Result: You can see whether the base is growing or leaking.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries across channels
  • Cost per enquiry overall
  • Channel mix by contribution

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Where to start in IT services

Start with the client list and the renewal dates you already hold.

Client and AMC register
List every client with the contract end date, number of devices, last site visit and who signs. Mark the ones due for renewal or an audit so the first calls go to people who already know you.
Business Profile and service pages
Give structured cabling, firewall, Microsoft 365 and annual maintenance a page each, with the kinds of site you serve. Record which service the caller asks for first.
One support number
Pick a single phone and WhatsApp number for new enquiries, staffed by a named person. Log the date, the site, the fault or project and whether it became a quote.
Partner and OEM listings
Check the partner locators of the brands you resell and ask to be listed, subject to their current terms. Note any enquiry that arrives from those pages.
Contractor and architect referrals
Electrical contractors, interior designers and builders fit out offices and need cabling done. Meet them with a one-page rate sheet and log each project they send.
What to leave until later
Do not start with webinars, a cybersecurity blog or paid search on general terms like IT support. They take hours your engineers need for site work. Add them once renewals are tracked.

Who it is for

This is written for these IT services and networking companies.

  • Managed IT service providers for small offices
  • Structured cabling and LAN and Wi-Fi installers
  • Network security and firewall specialists
  • Server, storage and backup solution providers
  • Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace partners
  • IT hardware system integrators
  • Data centre and server room fit-out companies
  • IT firms serving schools, hospitals and factories

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You have not decided whether to sell projects, AMC or both, so any plan would spread effort across offers you cannot staff.
  • No one in the firm can answer a web enquiry on the day it arrives, so more channels would add more unanswered messages.

How it works

How the digital marketing work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Agree the one aim

We settle what the campaign must achieve, such as enquiries for a launch or footfall for an event, and the date it must be live.

  2. 2

    Check what is ready

We list the channels you already run, who runs them, and what each can produce in the time available. Anything that cannot be done properly is left out.

  3. 3

Write the idea and the message sheet

We draft the one-sentence idea, test it against each planned format, and fix the wording that all channels will copy.

  4. 4

Brief every channel from the same sheet

Your agency, freelancer or in-house person receives the message sheet and calendar. Their work is checked against the sheet before it goes out.

  5. 5

    Run on the shared calendar

Channels go live together. If the offer changes, every channel is changed on the same day from the same sheet.

  6. 6

    Measure as one campaign

Enquiries and orders are read against the baseline. The reporting schedule is agreed in writing with the scope.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 0, foundation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Where should a small firm start?
With the renewal calendar and the Business Profile. Both cost little, both touch money you have already earned, and both show results inside a quarter.
How long before this shows in revenue?
Emergency enquiries move in weeks. Contracts follow over a quarter or two, because most offices sign an AMC when their current one ends.
Can one of our engineers run the marketing alongside site work?
Only for a defined task with a set hour, such as updating the renewal register or answering new enquiries. Open-ended marketing loses to a site breakdown every time. Give one person a short list, and hand the writing and listings to someone outside the roster.
How do we tell whether a new contract came from marketing or from the renewal calls?
Tag each new contract in the register with how the client first reached you: referral, listing, search or your own outreach. Renewals stay in a separate column. Compare the two sets at the end of the contract year.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
