Professional makeup artists · Buyer persona

Know who is really choosing: the bride, the mother, the photographer or the planner.

A buyer persona for a makeup artist describes the people who decide and pay, which is rarely one person. GullySales writes these from your own bookings so your pages, replies and prices speak to the person who holds the decision.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Makeup artists: show a real physical business scene illustrating Enquiry and date holds. Record each enquiry with the date, the venue and the functions wanted, and put a firm hold on the calendar the moment the advance arrives.

What buyer persona means

A buyer persona is a plain description of the kind of customer who actually buys from you. It includes what they search, what worries them and who else they ask before deciding. GullySales builds this from real enquiries and past sales rather than a generic template, then uses it to write every page and advert.

For professional makeup artists

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The bride and the person paying are different people”

In a joint family the father or an uncle pays, the mother approves and the bride chooses the look. Your reply goes to the bride, but the advance depends on the others. A reply that also answers the family's questions about timing and safety gets through.

  • “The destination bride needs travel answered first”

A couple marrying in another city asks about travel, stay, the trial by video call and what happens if the flight is delayed. Until those are answered, the look hardly matters. The persona is a planner as much as a bride.

  • “A production coordinator buys on reliability”

For a shoot or a film unit, the buyer is a coordinator or stylist who needs call times kept, a kit that is clean and a name others vouch for. Photographs of past sets and a clear day-rate reply matter more to this buyer than reels of bridal looks.

  • “The guest or bridesmaid wants a single booking”

A guest wants one party look for one evening, booked close to the date. The buyer wants a clear slot, a price and a place, not a package card built for a bridal party.

What we do

What we deliver for professional makeup artists.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Three or four persona sheets

One page each for the bride, the family, the planner or photographer and the production buyer, built from your past bookings.

Result: Each sheet names who decides, what worries them and what they ask first.

  2. Questions each persona asks

The questions each buyer brings, with the answer you give, taken from your own chats.

Result: A ready answer for each question each buyer asks.

  3. A reply matched to each persona

Short openings for the bride, the family member and the coordinator, each in the right tone.

Result: The first message sounds written for the person receiving it.

  4. A map of how each buyer finds you

Which source brings which persona, so your effort goes where the buyers are.

Result: You can see which buyers come from which source.

  5. A review of your price card

A look at whether your packages fit the buyers you meet, including add-ons for family and guests.

Result: The price card matches who actually books.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiry match to persona
  • Conversion rate by persona
  • Content aligned to persona

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the buyer persona work runs

  1. 1

    Understand the current view

We start with how your team currently describes the customer, since the gap between belief and reality is often the finding itself.

  2. 2

    Audit past enquiries and sales

We look at recent enquiries and closed deals to see who actually bought, not who was assumed to buy.

  3. 3

    Interview customers and staff

Short, structured conversations surface the real language, worries and triggers behind a purchase.

  4. 4

    Build the personas

Findings are written into short, usable persona documents rather than a long report.

  5. 5

    Apply to your marketing

We show exactly where each persona should change a page, an ad or a script you already have.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

I get very few film and ad enquiries. Do I still need that persona?
Only if you want that work. We write it as a short sheet so you can decide where to put effort. If bridal work fills your calendar, the sheet may stay unused, and that is a fair result.
How do you build personas without inventing details?
We use your enquiries, your replies and your own notes on who booked and why. We do not add made-up names, ages or figures. Where the record is thin, we say so and leave a gap to fill as bookings come in.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
