Salons and beauty studios · Email marketing

Keep customer reminders on WhatsApp and save email for the partners.

Email for a salon does little with customers, who read WhatsApp, and a great deal with wedding planners, photographers, boutiques and offices. GullySales builds the referral and corporate lists, writes the notes that go to them, and keeps customer reminders where they are actually opened.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What email marketing means

Email marketing is sending planned messages to a list of past and prospective customers who have agreed to hear from you. It suits offers, updates and staying in touch with someone who is not ready to buy yet. GullySales writes and schedules these emails and tracks who opens, clicks and enquires.

For salons and beauty studios

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Your customer will never open a newsletter”

She reads the WhatsApp reminder that her root touch-up is due and ignores everything sitting in an inbox.

  • “Planners and photographers decide bridal work”

They are asked for a makeup artist every week, and they read email because that is where their own work happens.

  • “Offices book grooming days and nobody asks them”

A company nearby runs a wellness day every year, arranged in an inbox by an admin who has never heard of you.

What we do

What we deliver for salons and beauty studios.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A referral list of planners, photographers and boutiques

The wedding planners, photographers, bridal wear boutiques and venues in your city, with the right contact found properly and a note of who has referred whom.

Result: You can see which planner actually sends brides.

  2. A bridal portfolio note sent each season

A short mail to the referral list before each wedding season carrying your current bridal work, your availability and the referral terms, as one attachment.

Result: Your name is in front of them when a bride asks.

  3. A corporate grooming day proposal

On-site grooming and festival makeup for the offices nearby, with per-head pricing, timings and GST invoicing in a form an admin can forward.

Result: A quiet weekday fills with an office booking.

  4. Customer reminders kept on WhatsApp, with consent

Rebooking reminders, birthday notes and the weekday offer sent through WhatsApp to customers who opted in at billing, with an easy way to stop them.

Result: The reminder gets read instead of filed under promotions.

  5. A note to the salons stocking your products

For a salon or brand with its own skin care line, a mail to stocking salons with reorder terms, training notes and what has been selling.

Result: Reorders arrive without a phone chase.

  6. Opens, replies and bookings reported

Which mails were opened, which brought replies and which turned into bridal or corporate bookings, against the baseline.

Result: You learn which relationship is worth the time.

How the result is measured

  • Open rate
  • Click rate
  • Enquiries from email

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What must be in place first

What a salon needs in place before it emails planners, photographers, boutiques and offices.

A referral list of professionals you have met
Add wedding planners, photographers, boutique owners and HR contacts you have worked with or spoken to. Note the person, the business and the last event. Do not mass-mail a directory.
Customers kept on WhatsApp, with consent
Appointment reminders and offers for walk-in customers belong on WhatsApp where they already talk to you. Record each customer's agreement and keep that list out of professional mail.
A portfolio you may show
Use photos of brides and clients only with their written agreement, and tell them where they will appear. Keep the consent with the booking record.
A sender with a face and a studio address
Send from the owner or head stylist on a domain you control, with the studio's address and map link in the signature. Planners check that you are a real place.
A reason for each professional to reply
Offer something concrete: a trial slot for the planner's bride, a corporate grooming day for an office, a sample for a boutique. A note that says 'we are open' gets no reply.
A simple opt-out
One unsubscribe line in every mail, honoured when asked. Respect a planner who says they work with one artist only.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the email marketing work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your list

We review who is on the list, how they got there, and how long it has been since they last heard from you.

  2. 2

    Audit past sends

We check open and click rates from past emails to see what has and has not worked.

  3. 3

    Segment and plan

The list is split into meaningful groups and a sending calendar is agreed.

  4. 4

    Implement content and automation

Emails are written, scheduled and, where useful, set to trigger automatically based on behaviour.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track performance and adjust subject lines, timing and content based on what the list responds to.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we send a monthly newsletter to customers?
No. Send a rebooking reminder on WhatsApp at the interval her service needs, and little else. A newsletter gets ignored, and it makes the useful message easier to ignore too.
How do we approach wedding planners without seeming desperate?
With work, not a pitch. Send this season's bridal portfolio with your dates and the referral terms, once before each season, and let the pictures do it.
Can we mail brides after their wedding?
Only if they agreed when booking. A short thank-you with a request for a review is fine if you asked first. A promotion in the weeks after is not. Keep the bridal record with a consent note and let people opt out simply.
What should a corporate grooming day proposal contain?
The date options, the number of stations, the services, the price per head and what the office has to provide, such as space and power. Add a few photographs you may show. Keep it to one page so the HR admin can forward it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
