Spas · Local SEO

Win the map pack for the few kilometres a customer will actually drive.

Local SEO for a spa is the fight for the three map results inside the short distance a customer will travel for a massage, decided by your hours, your rating and how far she is from the door. GullySales works on the listing, the catchment and the review flow behind that map pack.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For spas

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Nobody drives across the city for a massage”

She books the spa between her office and her flat. Paying for attention from the other side of town buys taps from people who will never arrive, so the catchment follows the roads she uses rather than a circle on a map.

  • “The map pack is won on opening hours as much as on rating”

A spa showing as closed at seven on a Sunday drops out of the result for the person searching at seven on a Sunday. Special hours, the late slot and a correct last-appointment time move you into the three.

  • “Your rating is read beside two others and nothing else”

In the pack a first-timer sees three names, three ratings and three distances. A 4.3 next to two 4.7s loses the tap even when the massage is better, which is why the review flow belongs to local ranking and not to a separate job.

  • “A second outlet quietly buries the first”

Two branches sharing a name and an overlapping service area compete against each other in Maps. Each outlet needs its own verified profile, its own room photographs and its own area, or the newer one takes the older one's result.

What we do

What we deliver for spas.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A catchment drawn on roads, not a radius

The areas customers actually travel from, read out of your own booking records, with the service area on the profile set to match.

Result: You stop paying for attention from people who will not drive it.

  2. Hours set for Sundays, holidays and the last slot

Opening hours, special hours and the final appointment time entered on the listing, including the days a public holiday changes them.

Result: The Sunday evening search finds a spa that is open.

  3. A review ask handed over at billing

A short request made while the customer is still at the desk, with the link ready on a card or a phone rather than sent days later.

Result: The newest reviews are recent and from people who came.

  4. Replies to anything said about hygiene or a therapist

A written reply to each review, dealing plainly with cleanliness or staff behaviour, since that is what a nervous first-timer reads first.

Result: The hesitant reader sees the complaint answered in public.

  5. One verified profile per outlet

A separate profile for each branch with its own photographs, hours and area, so two outlets stop competing for the same map result.

Result: Whichever outlet is nearest her is the one that shows.

  6. Direction taps and calls read off the listing

The listing's own counts for direction requests, calls and website taps, set against the baseline recorded before the work started.

Result: You can see whether the listing brought anyone through the door.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a customer nearby finds a spa they can trust, and what to fix first.

Primary category
Choose Spa, Day spa, Ayurvedic spa or Massage spa to match what you do, and avoid a loose category such as Massage parlour. A clear category and a clear description matter more in this trade than in most.
Who the spa is for
Say in the description whether the spa is for women only, couples, men, or all, and whether therapists are chosen by gender. A customer who is unsure about the place will often decide on this line.
Hygiene in photographs
Show the treatment room, linen, the sterilising area and the reception. Photographs of a clean, ordinary room answer the question a first-time customer is afraid to ask. Do not show clients.
Treatments and last slot
List each treatment by its name: Swedish, deep tissue, abhyanga, foot reflexology, head massage. Set hours to the last booking you take, not the closing time of the building.
Booking route that is answered
Link the profile to the WhatsApp Business number or booking page you answer. An unanswered enquiry to a spa is a customer lost to the next listing in the map pack.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the local SEO work runs

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are reported, and branches falling behind are prioritised the next month.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

We rank on our website but not on Maps. Why?
Maps ranks the profile, not the page. Distance from the searcher, your categories, your hours and your reviews decide the three results, and a good website does not rescue a thin listing.
Should we set the service area to the whole city?
No. A service area wider than the distance people will travel weakens the listing on the streets nearby, and those streets are where the walk-in and the Tuesday afternoon booking come from.
Our spa is inside a hotel. Whose listing is it?
The hotel and the spa can each be listed if the spa has its own name, hours and phone line. If the spa has none of its own, the hotel's listing may cover it. Check the platform's current rules, and keep the names the same on the hotel's website.
Should the profile say ladies only or men welcome?
Say it, in plain words, in the description and in the services. It saves wrong enquiries and protects customers. If the policy differs by branch or by day, write that for each outlet, and make the staff at the counter say the same thing.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
