Search your own name before a buyer does, and fix what they would find.

A salesperson online profile audit is a check of what a buyer sees when they look up you or your rep before replying. It covers Google results, LinkedIn, your Google Business Profile and your website, and ends in a one-page scorecard and a short list of fixes, each with a name against it.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

In one paragraph

A salesperson online profile audit is a check of what a buyer sees when they look up you or your rep before replying. It covers Google results, LinkedIn, your Google Business Profile and your website, and ends in a one-page scorecard and a short list of fixes, each with a name against it.

A distributor in Coimbatore gets a quotation request from a hospital group. Before replying, the purchase manager types the rep's name into Google, then the company name into Maps. The rep's LinkedIn shows a job from four years ago, the Maps listing shows a closed phone number, and the website lists a different GST name. The enquiry goes quiet and nobody knows why.

The audit is forty-five minutes per person with a scorecard. You do it for the owner first, because in a small firm the owner is the brand, and then for every rep who meets buyers. Open a private browser window so your own history does not flatter the results.

The owner signs it off. The reps do their own fixes, because a profile written by somebody else reads like it. This is not personal branding as a campaign; it is hygiene, the online equivalent of a clean visiting card, and it sits before the daily social routine and the LinkedIn tactics on this hub.

If a rep is leaving in a month, do not spend an hour on their profile. Do the company assets and move on.

Where this sits

Topic 1 of 8 in sales training and coaching: sales careers and mindset. How salespeople grow, and the habits that keep them selling after rejection.

If you want this done for you

A buyer searches your name before the first call and finds nothing.

The work

What this is actually like.

  • “A buyer researches both the salesperson and the business behind them”

A procurement officer cross-checks the name on the quotation against Maps, the website and the GST registration. A mismatch in spelling, address or phone number reads as a risk. Fix the business details first, because one wrong digit in a phone number costs more than a dull headline.

  • “An empty profile is worse than a short one”

Buyers do not mind a plain profile. They mind a photo missing, a job title that no longer exists, or two years of silence. Three accurate lines about what you sell and to whom beat a long page nobody has touched since you joined the firm.

  • “Old posts are searched too”

Scroll back through the last year of posts, comments and group messages. A rant about a client, a forwarded rumour, a festival greeting with the previous employer's logo. You are not deleting history, you are removing what a cautious buyer would read as a reason to wait.

  • “Looks are not the test, replies are”

A polished profile that gets no profile views and no replies has not worked. Note the number of views and connection replies for thirty days before the fixes and thirty days after. If nothing moves, the problem is the message, not the photograph.

What we do

What you end up with.

The documents this topic produces, what each one is for, and how you know it is finished.

  1. The scorecard

One row per asset: Google results for the name, LinkedIn, Google Business Profile, website team page, WhatsApp Business profile. Columns for what a buyer sees, a score from 1 to 5, the fix and who does it. The owner and each rep fill their own rows.

Result: Finished when every row below 4 has a named person against it.

  2. The name search screenshot

A screenshot of the first page of Google results for each person's name plus the town, saved in a shared folder with the date. It is the before picture.

Result: Finished when you can open last month's screenshot beside today's and see what changed.

  3. The business details sheet

Legal name, trade name, address, phone, email, GST number and timings, written once exactly as they should appear. Every profile is corrected to match this sheet.

Result: Finished when five different listings show the same string for the phone number and address.

  4. A three-line profile text

What you sell, to which buyer, in which town, in plain words. It goes into the headline, the About section and the WhatsApp Business description with small edits.

Result: Finished when a stranger can say what the rep sells after reading the first line.

  5. The thirty-day view log

Profile views and replies to connection requests, counted on the first of the month before and after the fixes.

Result: Finished when both months are filled in, even if the numbers are small.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Should my reps use their personal LinkedIn or a company one?
Personal profiles for people, a company page for the firm, linked to each other. Buyers talk to a person, so the rep's own profile carries the weight. Keep a short written rule that the profile stays the rep's, and the connections they made for work are listed in your CRM.
What if the owner has no online presence at all?
Start with Google Business Profile and one LinkedIn profile with a photo, a headline and current role. A blank search result looks the same as a firm that does not exist, and that is the first thing a new buyer notices.
Do we ask reps to take down personal posts?
Ask them to review the last year with the scorecard, and decide for themselves. Do not read their private accounts. Set the rule on what is posted from work profiles and leave personal accounts out of the audit.
How often should we repeat the audit?
Every six months, and again whenever a rep changes role, the company changes address or number, or you take on a new product. Put it in the calendar the day you finish the first one.
Is it worth doing for a firm that sells only to walk-ins?
Do the Google Business Profile and the name search, skip the rest. A walk-in shopper checks Maps for timings and reviews, not the rep's LinkedIn.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts. For sales work it is mostly our time, with production only where scripts, decks or CRM setup need it.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time and follow-up are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Process, CRM and training changes show as the team uses them. Each one is tracked against the baseline.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
