GullySales

A website that loads fast on the phones and networks your buyers actually use.

Gully Sales measures how your website performs for real visitors in India, fixes the causes of slowness in images, code, hosting and third-party scripts, and shows you the before and after so the gain is visible, not assumed.

  • Measured on real devices and mobile networks, not only on the office broadband.
  • The heavy images, scripts and server delays that slow every page are found and fixed.
  • A speed budget and monthly checks so the site stays fast as pages are added.

Gully Sales Private Limited measures websites on the mid-range Android phones and mobile networks that most Indian buyers actually use.

In one paragraph

What is Website Speed and Performance Optimisation?

Website speed and performance optimisation from Gully Sales makes the website you have load and respond quickly for the visitors it serves. We measure the site on real devices and Indian mobile networks, find what slows it down in images, code, hosting and third-party scripts, fix those causes, and set a speed budget so it stays fast. It suits businesses whose site works but feels slow.

The problem

Your website works on your laptop and crawls on your customer's phone.

Everyone inside the business checks the website on office broadband and a recent laptop, where everything loads in a blink. The visitor who found you on Google is on a mid-range Android phone, on a 4G connection that drops to 3G in a lift or a factory shed, and the same page takes long enough that they go back to the results. Nobody inside the business sees this, because nobody inside the business visits the site that way.

You will recognise it as

  • The home page feels fine on your desk but takes a visible pause on a phone before anything appears.
  • Product or gallery pages carry photos straight from the camera, several megabytes each, that were never resized.
  • Ad, chat, analytics and social plugins have been added over the years, and nobody knows which ones still matter.
  • Search Console or PageSpeed reports show pages failing Core Web Vitals, and nobody knows what to do with the report.
  • Paid campaigns send traffic to pages where visitors leave before the form has loaded.
  • The hosting plan was chosen for price years ago and has never been reviewed as traffic grew.

What it costs the business

  • Visitors who leave before the page loads never see the offer, so the marketing that brought them is spent for nothing.
  • Slow pages weaken search visibility, because page experience is part of how Google decides what to show.
  • Forms and checkouts that respond slowly are abandoned halfway, and the business never learns those enquiries existed.
  • The site gets a little slower every quarter as pages, images and plugins are added without anyone watching the total.

Why it persists. Speed is invisible to the people who own the site. The owner and the team open it from good connections, know where everything is and never wait. When someone does complain, the fix is usually a caching plugin or a hosting upgrade applied without measurement, which helps a little and hides the real causes. And a slow site still works, so there is never a day when it becomes urgent.

If it stays unresolved. Every rupee spent on ads, SEO and content sends more people to a page that loses a share of them before it appears. Each new page and plugin adds to the load. Competitors with lighter sites are shown ahead of you and are easier to buy from, and your site quietly becomes the slowest step in your sales process.

What changes

You get a site that loads quickly for real visitors, and a way to keep it that way.

In the first weeks

  • A performance baseline measured on real devices and networks, page by page, so you know how slow the site is and where.
  • A prioritised list of causes, from heavy images and render-blocking scripts to slow server response, each with its expected effect.

In how the work runs

  • Fewer calls about the site being down or stuck, because slow and broken look the same to a customer.
  • A speed budget your team and vendors work within, so new pages do not undo the work.
  • Clear rules for images, embeds and plugins that anyone adding content can follow.

In sales and marketing

  • More of the visitors you pay for reach the form, the WhatsApp button or the checkout before they give up.
  • Campaign landing pages that load fast enough for the click to turn into a lead.

In what management can see

  • Pages that pass Core Web Vitals, removing a page-experience reason for Google to show others ahead of you.

Over the longer term

  • Monthly performance checks that catch regressions before customers do.

We control the measurement, the fixes, the speed budget and the reporting. Conversion, ranking and revenue movement follow from those and from the traffic, offer and follow-up your business puts behind the faster site, which we can help plan.

Who it is for

The site works, but it is slower than the people trying to use it.

The businesses it suits

  • Owners and marketing heads of Indian SMBs whose site gets most of its visitors on mobile, from search or paid campaigns.
  • E-commerce and D2C brands where the product page and checkout carry heavy images and several third-party scripts.
  • Manufacturers, distributors and B2B service firms with image-heavy catalogue or project pages built on WordPress or a similar CMS.
  • Clinics, hospitals, hotels and institutes whose visitors decide on a phone, often on a weak connection.
  • Businesses that have been told the site fails Core Web Vitals and want it fixed rather than explained.
  • Marketing teams running ads to landing pages and seeing visitors bounce before the page loads.

What usually prompts the call

  • A speed report from Google, an agency or a customer that nobody on the team could act on.
  • A campaign launch, catalogue expansion or festive season that will multiply traffic on the current setup.
  • A recent redesign or platform move after which the site is visibly slower than before.
  • A hosting renewal or plugin audit that raised the question of whether the setup is right.
  • SEO work that is stalling on a technical foundation the content cannot fix.

What Gully Sales does

The work, component by component.

Performance baseline and measurement

We measure every important page on real devices and Indian mobile networks, using lab tests and field data from actual visitors, and record load, interaction and layout stability against the Core Web Vitals thresholds.

Why it matters:
Without a baseline, every fix is a guess and nobody can say whether it worked.
You receive:
Page-by-page baseline report with lab and field measurements.
Business value:
You know exactly how slow the site is for the visitors who matter, and where.

Image, media and asset optimisation

Photos, banners, videos and fonts are the largest part of most SMB pages. We resize, compress and convert them to modern formats, serve the right size to each screen and load below-the-fold media only when it is needed.

Why it matters:
A single unresized photo can weigh more than the rest of the page combined.
You receive:
Optimised media library and image handling rules applied across the site.
Business value:
Pages that appear quickly on a phone even when the connection is weak.

Code, script and third-party cleanup

We identify render-blocking CSS and JavaScript, unused plugins and the chat, analytics, ad and social scripts that load on every page, then defer, combine or remove them with your agreement.

Why it matters:
Third-party scripts are the most common cause of slow interaction, and most of them were added for a reason nobody remembers.
You receive:
Script inventory with keep, defer or remove decisions, and the cleaned build.
Business value:
The page responds to taps and clicks without the delays that make visitors think it is broken.

Server response and caching

We look at how quickly the server answers the first request, set up page, object and browser caching correctly, add a content delivery network where it helps and tune the database and platform settings that slow response.

Why it matters:
A slow first byte delays everything else, however light the page is.
You receive:
Caching and CDN configuration with documented settings and server-side recommendations.
Business value:
Visitors across India get the page from a server close to them, already prepared.

Speed budget and content rules

We set limits for page weight, image size, script count and load time that your team, designers and vendors work within, with a checklist for anyone adding pages or plugins.

Why it matters:
Most sites are not slow because they were built badly; they got slow because nobody was watching what was added.
You receive:
A written speed budget and a one-page content checklist.
Business value:
The site stays fast after we finish, not only on the day we report.

Monitoring and monthly reporting

We keep the important pages under automated measurement, review field data from real visitors each month and flag any page that has slipped, with the cause and the fix.

Why it matters:
Performance drifts quietly; a plugin update or a new banner can undo months of work in a day.
You receive:
Monthly performance report and regression alerts.
Business value:
You learn about a slow page from us, not from a customer or a Google warning.

What you will have at the end.

  • A page-by-page performance baseline with lab and real-visitor measurements.
  • A prioritised fix list naming each cause, its expected effect and the effort involved.
  • Optimised images, video and fonts across the site, with sizing and format rules.
  • A script and plugin inventory with keep, defer or remove decisions, agreed with you.
  • Caching, CDN and server configuration, documented so your host or developer can maintain it.
  • A before-and-after comparison for every page we worked on, on the same devices and networks.
  • A written speed budget for page weight, scripts and load time.
  • A one-page checklist for anyone adding pages, images or plugins.
  • Automated monitoring on key pages with regression alerts.
  • A monthly performance report with the changes made and what is next.

How it runs

The engagement, step by step.

  1. 1

    Free audit

We run your key pages through lab and field measurement, on the devices and networks your analytics say your visitors use, and walk you through what we find.

    You provide:
The website address, access to Search Console and analytics if available, and which pages matter most.
    We produce:
A short audit note with the baseline, the main causes and whether optimisation is the right next step.
    Done when:
You know how slow the site is, why, and what we recommend.
  2. 2

    Baseline and plan

We measure every important page properly, group the causes by type and effect, and agree a fix order with you, starting with what moves the most for the least disruption.

    You provide:
Hosting, CMS and code access, and a list of plugins and third-party tools with who owns each.
    We produce:
The baseline report and a prioritised fix plan with the expected effect of each item.
    Done when:
The plan is signed off and access is in place.
  3. 3

    Media and asset optimisation

We optimise images, video and fonts across the site, set up responsive image handling and lazy loading, and re-measure the affected pages.

    You provide:
Original images where the uploaded ones are too degraded to reuse, and approval of any visible quality change.
    We produce:
Optimised media library and the rules the CMS now applies to new uploads.
    Done when:
Media-heavy pages meet the agreed weight targets on re-measurement.
  4. 4

    Code, script and server work

We defer or remove scripts as agreed, fix render-blocking code, configure caching and CDN and tune server response, one change at a time, on a staging copy first where one exists.

    You provide:
Decisions on which third-party tools to keep, and a window for changes to go live.
    We produce:
The cleaned build, caching configuration and a change log.
    Done when:
Every change is live, measured and logged, with nothing broken.
  5. 5

    Verification and handover

We re-run the full baseline on the same devices and networks, compare page by page, and hand over the speed budget and content checklist with a walkthrough for your team.

    You provide:
Time for a handover session with whoever manages the site.
    We produce:
Before-and-after report, speed budget, checklist and documentation.
    Done when:
You can see the gain page by page, and your team knows how to protect it.
  6. 6

    Monitoring and review

Key pages stay under automated measurement. Each month we review field data, investigate any page that slipped, fix or advise, and report what changed.

    You provide:
Notice of planned changes, launches or plugin additions so we can check them early.
    We produce:
Monthly report with performance trend, regressions found and fixes applied.
    Done when:
The site is still within its budget, and you saw the report before any customer noticed a problem.

Ways to work with us

Choose the scope that matches how much of the problem you want us to carry.

Performance audit and plan

The baseline, causes and fix plan on their own, for a business that has a developer or host who can carry out the work with clear instructions.

One-time optimisation

The audit followed by the full fix programme across media, code, scripts and server, verified with a before-and-after report and handed over with a speed budget.

Optimisation with ongoing monitoring

Everything above plus monthly measurement, regression alerts and fixes, for businesses that add content and campaigns regularly and want the site to stay fast.

Pre-launch performance review

A focused review of a new site, redesign or campaign page before it goes live, so it launches fast rather than getting fixed afterwards.

Why Gully Sales

What you are actually choosing when you choose us.

We measure where your visitors are, not where your office is.

Baselines are taken on the phones and networks your analytics show, across Indian cities and connections, so the report describes the site your customers see rather than the one you see.

Speed is treated as a sales problem, not a technical score.

We start from the pages that carry enquiries, orders and campaign traffic, because a fast page nobody visits is not the goal. Gully Sales works across marketing, sales and technology, and the priorities reflect that.

Every change is measured before it stays.

Nothing goes live on a guess. Each fix is measured on the same pages, devices and networks as the baseline, so you see the effect of every change and we remove any that do not help.

Your team is left able to keep it fast.

The speed budget, checklist and documentation are written for the people who add content, not for developers, so the site does not need us to stay quick.

The fixes suit the platform you have.

We work on WordPress, Shopify, custom PHP and JavaScript sites and other platforms common among Indian SMBs, and we do not recommend a rebuild when configuration will do.

Where it applies

The same service, in different businesses.

E-commerce and D2C

The situation:
Product pages carry high-resolution photos and a dozen scripts for reviews, chat, tracking and offers; mobile visitors abandon before the add-to-cart button responds.
How it applies:
Media optimisation, script deferral, caching and CDN across product, category and checkout pages, with a budget for new product uploads.
Likely benefit:
Product and checkout pages that respond on a phone before the visitor loses patience.

Manufacturing and industrial

The situation:
Catalogue and project pages built from brochure PDFs and full-size photographs load slowly for buyers checking suppliers from a plant or site office.
How it applies:
Image and document optimisation, responsive delivery and server tuning for the catalogue section that carries the enquiries.
Likely benefit:
Buyers on weak connections reach the specification and the enquiry form.

Healthcare and clinics

The situation:
Patients search on a phone, often in a hurry, and the appointment page sits behind heavy banners, embedded maps and video.
How it applies:
Priority loading for the appointment and contact paths, lighter media and deferred embeds.
Likely benefit:
The booking form appears first, and appears fast.

Hotels, restaurants and travel

The situation:
Gallery-driven sites with large photos and booking widgets that stall on mobile data, exactly when a guest is trying to decide.
How it applies:
Gallery optimisation, lazy loading, widget deferral and CDN delivery.
Likely benefit:
Rooms and menus load quickly enough for the booking to happen.

Education and training institutes

The situation:
Admission season multiplies traffic on a site hosted on an old shared plan, and the enquiry form times out when parents apply together.
How it applies:
Server and caching review before the season, form path optimisation and monitoring through the peak.
Likely benefit:
The site holds up when the enquiries arrive together.

B2B services and consulting

The situation:
Paid campaigns send traffic to landing pages weighed down by fonts, animations and tracking scripts added by different vendors over time.
How it applies:
Landing page performance review, script consolidation and a budget the campaign team follows.
Likely benefit:
More of the paid clicks reach the form before the page is abandoned.

Proof

Work we can point to.

Burhani Hydroline

The problem:
The existing website’s slow loading times, poor navigation and lack of mobile responsiveness held back user experience and engagement, and the site ranked poorly in search results.
What we did:
Gully Sales rebuilt the site from wireframes and prototypes that put intuitive navigation and mobile responsiveness first, carrying the product catalogue and e-commerce functionality onto the new build.
The result:
The study reports improved user engagement on the new website, with faster loading times, intuitive navigation and a mobile-friendly design. It states no before-and-after timings.

Questions buyers ask

Before you enquire, the answers you will want.

What is included in website speed and performance optimisation?

It covers everything that decides how fast a page appears and responds for a real visitor: image, video and font weight, render-blocking code, third-party scripts and plugins, caching, content delivery and server response. We measure first, fix the causes in order of effect, verify on the same devices and networks, and hand over a speed budget and checklist so the site stays fast. Monitoring and monthly reporting are available as an ongoing option.

How is website speed measured, and why do your numbers differ from what I see?

We measure two ways. Lab tests run a page on a mid-range Android device over a throttled mobile connection, which is closer to your typical visitor than an office laptop on broadband. Field data comes from real visitors through Search Console and analytics, where available. Your own check from the office is usually faster than both, which is exactly why speed problems go unnoticed. We report both views, page by page, before and after.

What inputs and access do you need from us?

We need the site address, access to hosting, the CMS and the code repository if there is one, and Search Console and analytics access so we can see real visitor data. We also ask for a list of plugins and third-party tools with who owns each, the pages that matter most to your business, and a person who can approve decisions such as removing a script. Original images help where uploaded ones are too degraded to reuse.

How long does the engagement take?

It depends on the number of pages, the platform, the state of the hosting and how many third-party tools the site carries, so we do not quote a standard duration. A small brochure site on WordPress is a different job from a large catalogue or an e-commerce store. After the free audit, the written proposal sets out the phases and what each depends on, including the access and decisions we need from you to keep it moving.

Will optimisation change how the site looks or works?

The aim is that it looks the same and feels quicker. Images are compressed to the point where the difference is invisible on the screens people use, and you approve any change that is visible. Scripts are removed only with your agreement, after we confirm what each one does. Where a design element such as a heavy animation or slider is a major cause, we show you the cost and let you decide.

Do we need to change hosting?

Not always. Many slow sites are on adequate hosting and are slow because of what has been loaded on top of it. We measure server response first; if the host is the limit, we say so, with what a change would fix and what it would not. Where a move is worth it, we can plan and support it, and our website hosting and security service covers running the platform afterwards.

How do you protect the site while changing it, and what support comes after?

Before any change we take a full backup of files and database and, where the platform allows, work on a staging copy first. Every change is logged and can be reversed; if a fix causes a problem, we roll it back and re-measure. Access is granted by you, used only for this work and removed when you say. Under a monitoring engagement you have a named contact, an agreed response window for regressions we detect and a monthly report.

How is success measured?

Against the baseline, on the same pages, devices and networks. The primary measures are load, interaction and layout stability against the Core Web Vitals thresholds, in both lab and field data, alongside page weight, request count and server response. We then look at what changed in your analytics for the same pages: form completion, checkout completion, qualified conversion rate, engagement and cost per conversion, noting that traffic mix, offers and seasonality also move those figures.

3 more questions

What is excluded from scope?

Redesigning pages, rewriting content, SEO and building new features are separate services and are not part of this scope, though we will tell you if any of them is the real problem. We do not take over hosting, backups, security patching or day-to-day updates here; those sit under website hosting and security and website maintenance and support. Internal applications, ERPs and portals are also out of scope unless agreed separately.

Does a faster website improve Google rankings?

Speed is one of many things Google considers, and page experience including Core Web Vitals is part of it. Fixing performance removes a reason for lighter competitors to be shown ahead of you and helps every other SEO effort work on a sound base, but it does not by itself move rankings, which depend on content, links and relevance. We report what changed in Search Console and are careful not to claim more than that.

Can you optimise a Shopify, WordPress or custom-built site?

Yes. We work on WordPress and WooCommerce, Shopify, custom PHP and JavaScript sites and most platforms common among Indian SMBs. The causes are similar everywhere, but the fixes differ: Shopify limits server changes and rewards theme and app cleanup, WordPress usually needs plugin, caching and image work, and custom sites need code-level changes. The audit tells you which applies to yours before you commit to anything.
