Trainers leave for the split shift long before they leave for the money.

Employer branding for a gym is what a trainer finds when he checks you before a trial session: the shift, how personal training clients are allotted, and whether the floor is a place to build a name. GullySales writes the careers page, the job posts and the trainer stories behind it.

A colliery lamp room seen from the counter: the roller shutter half up over a deep hatch, rows of cap lamps and their batteries hanging on hooks in the recess behind it, a rack of self-rescuers on the wall above, and a check-board of pegs beside the hatch with a single brass tally hanging on it where a lamp has gone out

Where this sits

For gyms and fitness chains

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Six to eleven, then five to ten, and a dead afternoon

The split shift is the reason most floor trainers quit, not the salary. A careers page that shows a squat rack and never mentions the timing only moves the surprise to week two.

  • The pay a trainer cares about is the personal training share

A post saying salary plus incentive tells him nothing. He wants to know how a walk-in member is allotted, whether the sales team hands him warm leads, and what happens when a client pauses a package.

  • Your channels show offers and never show a trainer

So a good trainer builds his following on his own phone and takes it with him when he leaves. The gyms that credit their floor staff keep them longer and get their friends as applicants.

  • Certification is the thing he cannot buy alone

Renewals and courses cost real money on a trainer's salary. Whether you pay for them, part-pay or do not, that answer belongs on the page rather than in a negotiation at the offer stage.

What we do

What we deliver for gyms and fitness chains.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A careers page for the floor

Written for a trainer on a phone between two clients. The shift, the branch, the member profile and the person he will report to, in short lines.

Result: He knows the timing before he books a trial, so the ones who turn up are the ones who can do it.

  2. One post per role, not one for the gym

Floor trainer, personal trainer, group instructor and front desk written separately, because a Zumba instructor and a strength coach are not the same hire.

Result: Applications that match the slot you actually need filled.

  3. Trainers credited on your own channels

Profiles and clips of the people who coach, on the gym's page under the gym's name, with a written line on what a trainer may post from the floor.

Result: A trainer builds something here instead of only on his own account.

  4. How the first ninety days work, in writing

Shadowing, floor hours, when he starts taking personal training clients and how those clients are allotted, confirmed by your head trainer.

Result: The commission conversation happens before the offer, not in month three.

  5. A referral note trainers will actually forward

Short enough for a WhatsApp group, honest about the shift, with the branch and the contact number in it.

Result: Hires from the trainer network, which is where the good ones already are.

How the result is measured

  • Applications received per open role
  • Careers page engagement and time on page
  • Candidate drop-off during the interview process
  • Referral hires as a share of total hires

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for gyms and fitness chains

  1. 1

    Talk to current employees

We interview a cross-section of staff honestly, including some who might raise uncomfortable points.

  2. 2

Find the genuine reasons to join

We identify what is actually true and attractive about working there, rather than generic claims that could apply anywhere.

  3. 3

    Build the careers content

The careers page, job post templates and employee stories are written from what staff actually said.

  4. 4

    Review the candidate experience

We check what happens between application and offer, since branding cannot fix a process that loses candidates through delay.

  5. 5

    Hand over and refresh periodically

Content is handed over for ongoing use and revisited periodically as the team and roles change.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Trainers leave once they have built a client list. Can you prevent that?
No. Some will always go independent or into a society bootcamp, and a page cannot hold anyone. This work aims at the ones who would have stayed had they understood the shift, the incentive and the path to head trainer before they joined.
Do you supply trainers or run the hiring?
No. GullySales does not recruit, does not place people and has nothing to do with salaries or commission payouts. We build what a candidate reads and what your existing team says, then your manager does the interviewing exactly as before.
We are one gym, not a chain. Is this worth the money?
Only if hiring is a repeated problem for you. For a single gym replacing one trainer a year, the cheaper fix is a decent job post and a referral bonus, and the audit will tell you so. It earns its place when you are opening branches and hiring every quarter.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
