Employer branding · Consumer services

Your technician is offered a side job at every second door he knocks on.

Employer branding for a cleaning, pest control or appliance service company is what a technician hears about you before he joins and what keeps him on your rolls once customers start asking for his number. GullySales writes the careers content, the job posts and the stories from technicians who stayed.

A colliery lamp room seen from the counter: the roller shutter half up over a deep hatch, rows of cap lamps and their batteries hanging on hooks in the recess behind it, a rack of self-rescuers on the wall above, and a check-board of pegs beside the hatch with a single brass tally hanging on it where a lamp has gone out

Where this sits

For home service companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The customer at the door is your biggest competitor

She asks for his personal number and offers him the next deep clean at half your rate. A share of your attrition is not another company at all, and no amount of brand language addresses it. What he keeps by staying has to be worth more than that cash.

  • He gets into the apartment because of your ID card

A gated society in Whitefield stops a man with a bucket and lets in a uniform with a gate pass. The same goes for the training, the insurance and the chemicals he does not have to buy. Very few companies put any of this in writing.

  • Hiring happens on WhatsApp, before anybody sees a website

One technician forwards a message to three men from his district. Your careers page gets read after that message, to check you are real, so it has to load on a slow phone and say who you are in two lines.

  • Nobody tells him about the bike, the ladder and the fuel

Whether he travels on his own two-wheeler, who pays for the petrol, who carries the machine, and what happens when a job runs past nine at night. Those answers decide month one, and they belong in the job post.

What we do

What we deliver for home service companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Careers content in the language he reads

Short Kannada or Hindi copy on a page that opens quickly, with the company name, the office address and a number that a real person answers.

Result: The man checking a forwarded message believes the company exists.

  2. Job posts that state the area and the kit

Which part of the city, what hours, whose vehicle, what is provided and what is not, written from what your operations head confirms.

Result: New technicians arrive with the right expectation about travel and timing.

  3. What he keeps by staying, listed plainly

The gate access, the ID, the training under a licensed supervisor, and the path from crew member to team lead, as your business actually runs it.

Result: An answer he can weigh against a customer offering him cash work.

  4. Stories from the crew, not from management

Interviews with technicians who have been with you for years, including the one who now runs a team, recorded and used in their own words.

Result: Proof that staying leads somewhere, told by somebody who did it.

  5. A referral message built to be forwarded

Four lines, a photograph of the uniform, the area, and a number, sized for a WhatsApp group rather than a careers portal.

Result: Hires through the network your technicians already talk in.

How the result is measured

  • Applications received per open role
  • Careers page engagement and time on page
  • Candidate drop-off during the interview process
  • Referral hires as a share of total hires

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for home service companies

  1. 1

    Talk to current employees

We interview a cross-section of staff honestly, including some who might raise uncomfortable points.

  2. 2

Find the genuine reasons to join

We identify what is actually true and attractive about working there, rather than generic claims that could apply anywhere.

  3. 3

    Build the careers content

The careers page, job post templates and employee stories are written from what staff actually said.

  4. 4

    Review the candidate experience

We check what happens between application and offer, since branding cannot fix a process that loses candidates through delay.

  5. 5

    Hand over and refresh periodically

Content is handed over for ongoing use and revisited periodically as the team and roles change.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can this stop customers poaching our technicians?
No. That is a pricing, contract and service-quality problem, and a careers page has nothing to say about it. What we can do is make the case for staying explicit, so a technician is weighing something real against the offer at the door.
Do you supply technicians or handle their wages?
No, on both counts. GullySales does not recruit, does not place anybody and has nothing to do with payroll or contractor payments. We write what candidates read and what your team says about the work.
Most of our crew comes through a labour contractor. Does this still apply?
Partly. If the contractor hires and you never meet the man until he is on a job, the useful work is the supervisor and team-lead level, where you do hire directly. For the crew itself, better briefing notes and a clearer first week do more than a careers page.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
