Employer branding · Consumer services

A stylist's clients follow the stylist. Say what she builds by staying.

Employer branding for a salon or spa chain is what a stylist, beautician or therapist finds when she looks you up before a trial day, and the honest answer to why she should build her name on your floor rather than two streets away. GullySales writes that from what your own team says.

A colliery lamp room seen from the counter: the roller shutter half up over a deep hatch, rows of cap lamps and their batteries hanging on hooks in the recess behind it, a rack of self-rescuers on the wall above, and a check-board of pegs beside the hatch with a single brass tally hanging on it where a lamp has gone out

Where this sits

For salon and spa chains

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • Everyone knows the client book belongs to the stylist

She can walk to the salon in the next block, or go home-service on Instagram, and take half her regulars with her. Pretending otherwise on a careers page insults her. The only question worth answering is what she gets here that she cannot build alone.

  • Your senior stylist is the reason anyone applies

Hiring in this trade runs on one beautician telling another that the chain pays on the first and the manager does not shout. That conversation is your employer brand, and nothing on your website outranks it.

  • A therapist moving cities asks about the PG, not the brand

A spa therapist relocating from Shillong or Imphal wants to know where she will stay, when the last appointment ends, who locks up and how she gets home. Your careers page shows a marble reception and answers none of it.

  • The interview is a trial day on the floor

She judges you while cutting a real client in front of your manager. If the day is disorganised, or nobody explained the product line she has to use, you lose someone who had already decided to join.

What we do

What we deliver for salon and spa chains.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A careers page written for the chair

Not the customer page with a job list bolted on. Roles as a stylist would describe them, the branches, the shifts and who runs each floor.

Result: Someone referred by a friend finds a page that sounds like the friend was telling the truth.

  2. What the chain puts behind her name

The training you actually pay for, the credit she gets on the salon's own Instagram, and how a senior chair or an academy role is reached. Only what is already true.

Result: A reason to stay that is specific enough to repeat at home.

  3. Job posts branch by branch

Each outlet posted separately with its locality, shift timing and the services that branch is busy with, because Indiranagar and Kammanahalli are different jobs.

Result: Applicants who live close enough to still be there in month six.

  4. Trainee and therapist stories

Short interviews with the people who joined from an academy and stayed, including the parts they found hard in the first month.

Result: A nervous first-job candidate sees somebody like herself on your floor.

  5. The trial day, described before she comes

What she will be asked to do, who watches, what to bring and how long it takes, sent with the invitation.

Result: Fewer people who agree to a trial and then stop answering the phone.

How the result is measured

  • Applications received per open role
  • Careers page engagement and time on page
  • Candidate drop-off during the interview process
  • Referral hires as a share of total hires

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for salon and spa chains

  1. 1

    Talk to current employees

We interview a cross-section of staff honestly, including some who might raise uncomfortable points.

  2. 2

Find the genuine reasons to join

We identify what is actually true and attractive about working there, rather than generic claims that could apply anywhere.

  3. 3

    Build the careers content

The careers page, job post templates and employee stories are written from what staff actually said.

  4. 4

    Review the candidate experience

We check what happens between application and offer, since branding cannot fix a process that loses candidates through delay.

  5. 5

    Hand over and refresh periodically

Content is handed over for ongoing use and revisited periodically as the team and roles change.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Can this stop stylists leaving and taking clients with them?
No. A stylist who has decided to go will go, and her regulars will follow her. What changes is the queue behind her: who applies, what they already expect, and whether a good senior hears about your chain before she hears about the one in the next mall.
Do you recruit stylists or handle their salaries?
Neither. We do not source candidates, run interviews or touch payroll. The work is your careers page, the job posts your managers send out, and honest content built from conversations with the team you already have.
We pay less than the chain in the mall. Is there any point?
There is a point only if something else here is genuinely better, such as training you pay for, a shorter commute, or a manager people ask to work under. If pay is the only difference and it is lower, fix the pay. We would rather say that in the audit than write around it.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
