School transport operators · Lead generation

Find the schools without a contractor and the parents without a seat.

Lead generation for a school transport operator means building two separate lists: schools whose management decides transport, and parents who need a seat on a route you already run. GullySales works on finding both, recording who they are and keeping each enquiry in front of you.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What lead generation means

Lead generation is the combined work of every channel that brings in a new enquiry, whether from search, adverts, referrals or a stall at an exhibition. GullySales runs these channels together and reports the number of enquiries each one produced, not the activity behind it.

For school transport operators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A school lead is a person, not an institution”

The name that matters is the administrator, trustee or transport in-charge who signs the contract. A list of school names with no decision-maker beside each is a phone book. Lead generation here starts with finding who decides, and when the current arrangement comes up for review.

  • “Parent leads arrive at admission and then stop”

A parent looks for transport once the child's seat is confirmed, and asks other parents on the same road. An operator who is not on the school's parent group or on the Maps listing for that locality is not among the names asked about.

  • “Route density decides which lead is worth chasing”

One parent three kilometres off the route costs the whole bus a detour. A lead from a stop already on your path fills an empty seat for no extra diesel. The list should be sorted by distance from existing stops, not by the order of the calls.

  • “Enquiries scatter across the driver's phone”

A parent's call to the driver, a message to the owner and a form on a page are three places for one lead to vanish. Without a single record, nobody can say which locality asks again and again, or which parent never got an answer.

What we do

What we deliver for school transport operators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A list of schools and who decides

Schools in your service area, each with the name and role of the person who awards transport, the current arrangement where known, and a date to revisit.

Result: A sheet you can phone down, with a decision-maker beside every school.

  2. A route-fit sort for parent enquiries

Each parent enquiry placed against your existing stops, so seats on a running route are offered before a new stop is considered.

Result: Every enquiry marked as on-route, near-route or off-route.

  3. One enquiry form for every channel

A form and a WhatsApp number that feed the same record, whether the parent came from the gate, a page or a neighbour.

Result: One place where every lead sits, with its source written beside it.

  4. Admission-time presence in each locality

A Maps listing and a locality page naming the schools and stops you serve, ready before parents start asking.

Result: The parent who searches for a van from their area finds a page that names the area.

  5. A short approach pack for schools

Fleet, papers, complaint process and the schools you already serve, in a form a principal can read before agreeing to meet.

Result: A document left at the school office that answers the first three questions.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries generated
  • Cost per enquiry
  • Enquiries by source

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the lead generation work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Understand your capacity

We agree how many enquiries your sales team can actually handle well, so the system is not built to overwhelm it.

  2. 2

    Audit current sources

We check what already brings in enquiries today, even informally, before adding anything new.

  3. 3

    Strategise the channel mix

Content, search and paid channels are chosen based on where your buyers already look.

  4. 4

    Implement capture and follow-up

Pages, forms and a follow-up process are built and connected end to end.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiry volume and quality and adjust the channel mix to match.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Is it better to chase schools or parents?
Both, in different ways. A school contract fills a whole bus at once but is awarded rarely and by a few people. Private parents fill seats one at a time but keep arriving. The mix depends on the number of empty seats your running routes carry today.
How do we know which schools need a contractor?
You find out by asking and by listening. Schools adding classes, schools with complaints about the present contractor and new schools in the area all have reason to talk. The list records what you learn, and the school decides whether to move.
Do we buy parent contact lists?
No. Contact details of parents belong to the school and to the parents. Build your list from people who ask you for a seat or who are introduced by a current parent, and check the platform's current rules before running any paid message.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
