School transport operators · Local SEO

Show up on the map where a parent looks for a van near their own gate.

Local SEO for a school transport operator is the work of appearing in the map results when a parent searches near a school or a housing society. GullySales works on the listing, the localities it names and the review flow that sit behind those results.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For school transport operators

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “The search is made from home or from the school gate”

A parent types school van near me while standing in their own colony. The map result is chosen by distance from that spot, so a listing that names only the head office misses every parent a few roads away.

  • “Pick-up area is not the office address”

The office may sit in an industrial area, but the buyers live in the localities along the routes. The listing needs a service area set to those localities, and descriptions that name the societies and schools served.

  • “Reviews are read as a safety signal”

A parent reads the stars and then the words. A line about a polite driver or a punctual pick-up counts for more than a score. A complaint with no reply reads as a complaint nobody answered.

  • “One listing for several schools gets blurred”

An operator serving three schools from one profile appears for none of them clearly. The services, posts and photographs need to name each school, so the map matches the search to the right route.

What we do

What we deliver for school transport operators.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A verified Maps listing for the business

Name, service area, hours, phone and a booking route set up correctly, with the primary service chosen to match school transport.

Result: A listing parents can call or message from the map.

  2. Localities and schools named in the description

The societies, colonies and schools you serve written in plain words in the description and services.

Result: The listing reads like the routes you run.

  3. Photographs of vehicles and papers

Vehicles, the interior, the attendant's seat and the safety equipment, with drivers shown only with their consent and no children.

Result: A parent sees the bus before they call.

  4. A review ask to current parents

A short message with the review link sent to parents who are happy, written so it can be forwarded in a building group.

Result: Recent reviews written by parents who ride the route.

  5. Replies written for complaints

A public reply to each complaint that says what was checked and what changed, kept short and polite.

Result: A worried reader sees the complaint answered in public.

  6. Calls and direction taps read from the listing

The listing's own counts of calls and direction requests recorded against a starting figure.

Result: You can see whether the listing is bringing parents to you.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Audit every listing

We check the Google Business Profile and directory listings for every branch against what should actually be shown.

  2. 2

    Complete and correct

Profiles are filled in fully and inconsistent details are corrected across every directory found.

  3. 3

    Build location pages

Each branch gets a page written for its own area, not a copy of the head office page with the address changed.

  4. 4

    Set up review handling

A simple process for requesting and responding to reviews is put in place with whoever is closest to the customer.

  5. 5

    Report and adjust

Map actions and enquiries per branch are recorded, and the branches falling behind come first in the next round of work.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which address do we put on the listing?
Use the address where the business is based and can be verified. If you run routes without a shopfront, set a service area for the localities you cover. Check the platform's current rules on listings without a public address.
Can parents leave reviews about the driver by name?
They can write what they like, within the platform's rules. Ask your drivers beforehand, reply politely to what is said and use any fair criticism to correct the route. Do not offer anything in return for a review.
We serve three towns. Do we need three listings?
Only where you have a real base in each. A listing for a place you do not operate from breaks the platform's rules and brings enquiries you cannot serve. One listing with a clear service area is better than three that do not match the facts.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
