Car rental companies · Local SEO

Be found for airport pickups and for the lane your office is on.

Local SEO puts your car rental business on Google Maps for travellers searching nearby, with your vehicles, your services and your permits visible. GullySales sets the categories and service areas, corrects the pin at your office or yard, and keeps recent fleet photographs on the profile.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What local SEO means

Local SEO is the work of making your business show up for searches that name your town or locality, such as a service plus an area name. GullySales sets up locality pages, local citations and map listings so nearby customers find you before a competitor across town.

For car rental companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Airport searches are their own kind of urgency”

A passenger who has landed searches on the way to the exit and books whoever answers, so hours, phone and pickup instructions have to be right.

  • “Your service area is a set of routes, not a circle”

An operator who runs to three hill stations and two pilgrimage towns should list those destinations, because a radius around the office describes nothing useful.

  • “Travellers look for a licensed operator in the photographs”

Number plates, permits and a visible office in the listing tell a family that you exist beyond a phone number.

What we do

What we deliver for car rental companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Categories matched to what you operate

Categories covering car rental, taxi service, chauffeur service, van rental and limousine hire, set to what your permits cover.

Result: The listing appears for the right searches.

  2. Services listed individually

Airport transfer, outstation round trip, one-way drop, tempo traveller hire, self-drive and monthly lease entered separately.

Result: A single service search finds you.

  3. Photographs of your own fleet

Interior and exterior photographs of each vehicle type with plates visible, plus the office or yard, refreshed as vehicles change.

Result: Travellers see the car they will actually get.

  4. A corrected pin and pickup instruction

The pin placed at your office or yard, with a photograph of the entrance and written pickup directions for the airport.

Result: Customers and drivers meet without six phone calls.

  5. Consistent details across Maps and directories

Name, address, phone, hours and services kept identical on Maps, JustDial and the portals you list on.

Result: Search engines trust the listing and rank it higher.

How the result is measured

  • Map pack ranking
  • Local search visibility
  • Enquiries by locality

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

What Google weighs here

How a traveller nearby finds a car and driver, and what to fix first.

Rental or taxi, one choice each
Use Car rental agency for self-drive and Taxi service for chauffeur-driven. A profile that claims both draws drivers who want a self-drive car and families who wanted a driver. If the work differs, keep two profiles.
Services by trip type
List airport transfer, outstation, local eight-hour hire, Tempo Traveller and wedding cars as separate services. Each entry should say who drives and what the quote includes, such as tolls and driver allowance.
Routes belong on pages
Maps cannot rank you for Mumbai to Goa. Write a page for each route you really run, with the pickup point and the vehicles used, and link it from the profile website field. A traveller then lands on the route they typed.
The pin at the pickup
Place the pin where the customer meets the car or counter, with a one-line instruction in the description. For airport pickups, say where the driver waits. A lost customer rings another operator before ringing you.
Justdial, Sulekha and permit bodies
Claim Justdial and Sulekha. If your state taxi or tour operators' association lists members, join its list. Show your permit type where the platform lets you, as corporate buyers look for it.
Trip-end reviews
Ask at the end of the trip, in the car, by sending the review link on WhatsApp. Ask the customer to name the route, so a searcher sees Pune to Mahabaleshwar and not a bare rating.

Who it is for

This is written for these car rental companies.

  • Outstation cab and chauffeur-driven car operators
  • Airport transfer and city taxi services
  • Self-drive car rental companies
  • Tempo traveller and mini-bus rental operators
  • Luxury and wedding car rental services
  • Corporate car rental and employee transport providers
  • Long-term car leasing and subscription providers
  • Tour operators with their own fleet
  • Travel agents who arrange cabs through partner fleets

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • The office address is a residence or a shared desk that drivers cannot be sent to, so a local listing would send travellers to the wrong place.
  • The listing shows pickup points the company does not serve, so more local visibility would produce requests it must refuse.

How it works

How the local SEO work runs

The work itself, in order. How an engagement starts, from your brief to a written scope, is set out on our method page.

  1. 1

    Write down what is true

Each branch's real address, signboard name, phone, hours and owning Google account go into one record you sign off. Every later listing is copied from it.

  2. 2

    Search as your buyer does

We search each branch on a phone from points around it, in your buyers' words, and note who appears with what reviews and photos.

  3. 3

    Fix the profile first

Ownership first, then name, address, pin, phone, hours and business type. Google can suspend a profile with extra words in its name or an address that is not a real premises.

  4. 4

Build the branch pages and match the listings

Each real branch gets its own page, and the other listings are changed to agree with it. We write none for towns without a branch, because Google treats near-identical pages as doorway pages.

  5. 5

    Ask, reply and measure

We agree with each branch who asks for reviews, when and how. Results are set against the baseline recorded before work began, and the branch that is behind gets the next round.

Where this fits

Three pieces of sales work, in this order.

This work sits inside sales process design, at stage 1, prospecting and lead generation. The audit comes before it, and sales management keeps it running.

  1. Step 1

    Sales audit

Find where deals are being lost and what to fix first.

Start here if you cannot say where orders are lost.

  2. Step 2 · you are here

    Sales process design

One written way to sell, from first enquiry to repeat order.

Start here if every salesperson sells differently.

  3. Step 3

    Sales management

A target, a review routine and someone who owns the number.

Start here if the team has targets and no routine.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

We work from home with cars parked elsewhere. Can we list?
List the yard or office where a customer could actually meet you, and hide the address only if nobody is there. A listing pointing to a house brings visits that go badly and a review that follows.
Does Maps help for outstation bookings from other cities?
Some, when a traveller searches for a cab in your city for a return trip. Most outstation demand comes from route pages and portals. Maps is strongest for airport and local package bookings.
Our cars are parked at several places overnight. Can each be a listing?
No. A parking spot nobody visits is not a business location, and listing it breaks Google's rules. List the office or the counter where customers meet you, and use a service area for the rest. Add the pickup instructions in the description and on the route pages.
A customer gave one star because the driver arrived late. Can we have it removed?
Not just because you disagree. Reply with facts and an offer to talk, in a few calm lines. Report it only if it breaks the platform's rules, such as being off-topic or from someone who never booked. Keep trip records so you can answer with dates.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
