GullySales

E-commerce · Software

The buyer does not understand the threat, so they buy on whether they trust you.

Nobody can test whether a security product works until something goes wrong. So the buyer judges the seller: who is behind it, where the data goes, what the reviews and the independent test labs say, and whether a person answers the phone.

A 90-minute audit call and a written, scored report. Turnaround, reporting and term are agreed in writing after the audit.

In one paragraph

Security software is the antivirus, endpoint protection, VPN, backup and password tools that people and companies install to protect their devices and data. GullySales works on the trust signals, the plan comparison and the renewal follow-up, which decide whether a worried buyer pays and whether they pay again next year.

The commercial pattern is also unusual. Many buyers pay once for a single device, forget about it, and are asked to renew by a pop-up they ignore. The money is in the renewal and in the multi-device plan, and both are sales work.

Who it is for

This is written for you if you sell security software online.

  • Sellers of antivirus, internet security and VPN products to home users
  • Endpoint, email and firewall tools sold to small companies through their own site
  • Backup and data-recovery software makers
  • Resellers of well-known security licences who sell on their own website, a marketplace or from a shop

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • Sellers who rely on fear in advertising, such as a fake virus warning. We will not write that, and it brings refunds and complaints.
  • A reseller who cannot show that the licences are genuine and tied to the buyer. That has to be settled before any marketing begins.

How buyers choose

What decides the sale of security software.

  1. Platform and device count first

The buyer asks whether it runs on Windows, Mac, Android and iPhone, and how many devices one licence covers. A family with six devices reads the plan table before anything else.

  2. Slows my computer down

A common fear for this product is that it will make an old laptop crawl. A page that speaks to older machines, with minimum requirements stated, answers it.

  3. Where does my data go

For a VPN, backup or password tool, the buyer wants to know who holds the data, what is logged and in which country. The privacy statement is a sales page for this product.

  4. Small companies ask for a person

A clinic or a firm of ten wants a number to call at installation and a person who can remote in. For them, the support promise decides before the feature list does.

Where sales are lost

What usually goes wrong when you sell security software online.

In the words sellers use on the first call.

  • “Customers do not renew”

A buyer who has never seen the product do anything has no reason to pay again. A visible record of what it did, and a reminder in good time, matter more than a discount.

  • “Buyers cannot tell our plans apart”

Basic, plus and total mean nothing to someone who has never needed one. Plans should be named after what the buyer is protecting: one laptop, the family, the small office.

  • “We lose the sale to the free option already on the computer”

Your page has to say honestly what the built-in tool does and what it does not, and then what your product adds. A scare is not an argument.

  • “Reseller listings are copied and undercut”

Cheap licence keys of doubtful origin appear on marketplaces. A page that explains how to check a genuine licence protects the buyer and your price.

What we do

What you get for security software.

Each deliverable and what it is there to change.

  1. A plan comparison page

A table by device, platform and support. It lets the buyer choose without calling and moves families to the plan that covers all their devices.

  2. A trust page

The company, the data statement and the support route in one place. It answers the first question a nervous buyer asks.

  3. A renewal message set

The reminders that go before expiry, written to say what the licence has covered and what stops if it lapses, in language that does not frighten.

  4. A small-business setup guide

Step-by-step installation for an office with several computers, and the booking link for help. It turns enquiries from clinics and shops into installations.

How the result is measured

  • Trial downloads
  • Trials activated on a device
  • Paid conversions
  • Multi-device plan share of sales
  • Renewals
  • Churn, with the reason recorded

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Free audit call

90 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. After the call

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come with it, in writing.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

What we need from you

What to have ready before the audit call.

None of it has to be tidy. We read what you have.

  • Your website and the checkout page
  • Plans, device limits and the platforms supported
  • The privacy statement and any independent test results you hold
  • Renewal numbers for the last year, if you have them
  • A sample of support questions from new buyers

Selling in India and abroad

Selling security software beyond your own market.

Where you sell decides sizes, units, seasons and returns. We work from Bengaluru and have no overseas office, so for a new country we start from your own sales and the platforms you already use.

  1. Privacy law differs by country

A VPN or backup product sold in Europe or the Gulf may meet different data rules from those at home. What applies to you is for your legal adviser to say before pages go up.

  2. Local payment and language

Overseas buyers pay in their own currency and by local methods. Help pages and installation guides in the buyer's language lower support calls more than translated advertisements.

  3. Licence region

Many licences are region-locked. The page must say which countries a key works in, or the support desk will carry the refund requests.

FAQ

Questions about selling security software online.

Can I advertise security software by showing virus threats?
Do not use fake warnings or false alerts. They break platform rules and bring refund requests. Describe real situations, such as a banking link in a text message, and what your product does about it.
How do I get customers to renew automatically?
Only with their clear consent, and with a reminder and an easy way to cancel before the charge. Customers who feel trapped complain to the card company. A renewal that follows a useful reminder is the one that lasts.
I am a reseller. Can I rank against the brand's own site?
Rarely for the brand name. Aim at the buyer's situation instead, such as a plan for a shop with three billing computers, and add what you provide that the brand does not, like installation or an invoice with GST.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped in the free audit and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after the audit, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile are the quickest to show, because the enquiries already exist. Ads can follow soon after follow-up is in place. SEO and content take longer. How long each takes depends on your business, and the audit tells you which applies to you. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 90 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the review meetings.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.
