Day care centres · Public relations

Get written about as the trusted local centre before a new one opens nearby.

Public relations for a day care centre means getting featured by local parenting groups, neighbourhood publications and community pages for a genuine milestone or initiative. This builds the credibility that an advertisement cannot buy on its own. GullySales pitches your actual work to the outlets local parents already read and trust.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What public relations means

Public relations is getting your business covered by journalists, trade publications or local news, which carries more trust than an advert because a third party is saying it. GullySales pitches your story to the right publications and prepares your team for interviews when coverage is offered.

Last updated 5 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For day care centres

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “A safety initiative is a real story, not a marketing claim”

A centre that runs a staff first-aid certification drive or a fire-safety audit has a genuine story for a local parenting page. It reads as credible precisely because it was not written as an advertisement.

  • “Community pages reach exactly the parents who matter”

A feature or mention on a residents' welfare association page or a local parenting forum reaches families within the exact radius a day care centre actually serves.

  • “A milestone anniversary or expansion is worth a local mention”

A centre completing a milestone year, or opening a second branch, gives a local publication a reason to write about it, rather than a generic pitch about childcare.

What we do

What we deliver for day care centres.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Genuine story angles from your own centre

A short list of real events worth pitching, a staff first-aid drive, a fire-safety audit, a branch opening or an anniversary.

Result: Coverage is built on something that actually happened at your centre.

  2. Pitches written for local parenting and community pages

Pitch notes written for residents' welfare association pages, local parenting forums and neighbourhood publications your families read.

Result: The story reaches exactly the parents your centre serves.

  3. A coverage log for the profile and website

Any published mention or feature collected and added to the Business Profile and website as trust content once it appears.

Result: A single piece of coverage keeps reassuring parents long after it is published.

  4. A milestone and expansion announcement plan

A written plan for announcing a branch opening or an anniversary to local publications and community pages, timed properly.

Result: A real milestone gets the local attention it deserves.

  5. A review of coverage secured from pitches

A review of which pitches led to coverage and which community pages responded, so future pitches go where they actually land.

Result: Effort concentrates on the outlets that actually cover the centre.

How the result is measured

  • Coverage secured
  • Publication reach
  • Enquiries after coverage

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Worth telling parents and press

Stories from a day care centre that a parenting page will trust.

A safety routine parents can check
Describe a real routine such as a visitor register, CCTV in common areas that parents can ask to see or staff police verification. Describe only what you actually do.
A short talk for parents
Offer a talk on weaning, sleep routines or toilet training at a nearby apartment association or parenting group. Ask the group admin to share the invitation.
A new branch or a move
A new branch or a larger premises gives a local page a reason to write. Give the date, the address and the age groups you care for.
Caregiver first aid training
If your caregivers have done first aid or child-safety training, name the course and the training body. Offer to show the certificate on request.
Consent before any child photograph
Get written consent from parents before a child appears in a photo or video, and keep the signed forms. Local pages often refuse a picture without it, so ask first.
A complaint in a parents' group
If a parent complains in a local group, invite them to meet the centre head and reply calmly under the same post. Never name the child or share their details in public.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the public relations work runs

  1. 1

    Understand what is newsworthy

We identify genuine stories in your business, since manufactured news rarely earns real coverage.

  2. 2

    Audit relevant press

We research which journalists and publications actually cover your industry or locality.

  3. 3

    Prepare the pitch

A release or pitch is written specifically for the target publication, not sent as a mass broadcast.

  4. 4

    Approach and follow up

Journalists are approached directly, with a reasonable follow-up rather than a single unanswered email.

  5. 5

    Measure and prepare ahead

Coverage is tracked, and a communications plan is kept ready for any significant matter that may need a public response.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Is PR realistic for a single neighbourhood centre?
Yes, at a local level. Residents' associations, parenting forums and community pages are far more reachable than national press and reach exactly the audience that matters.
How is this different from paid advertising?
PR is earned coverage from a genuine story, which reads as more trustworthy to an anxious parent than an advertisement they know is paid for.
Who should speak to a reporter, the owner or a teacher?
The owner or centre head. Teachers should not speak on record unless they have agreed and you have rehearsed what is safe to say. A reporter may ask about a child or a parent, and the answer must always protect their privacy.
Is a press note better than a post on our parents' WhatsApp group?
They do different jobs. The parents' group reaches families who already trust you, while a press note or a community page reaches families who have never heard of you. Use the group for daily updates and keep the press note for a real milestone.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
