Fill your admissions calendar before the parent finishes comparing three other schools.

Most schools and coaching institutes get one real admissions window a year, roughly January to June. A parent comparing pre-schools in the neighbourhood decides on other parents' reviews and a campus visit, not an advertisement. An institution missing from that comparison loses the seat before a form is filled.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

Realistic editorial illustration of educational institutions at work in India

In one paragraph

Education marketing means being the school, coaching institute or college a parent or student finds and trusts during a short admissions window each year. Education sales turns that enquiry into an enrolled seat. GullySales sets up a callback log for the admissions desk, and a follow-up for the parent who toured the campus but has not paid the admission fee.

Printing pamphlets does not by itself fill a classroom. In the March rush, the admissions desk takes more calls than it can answer and writes callbacks on a notepad. The family who toured on Saturday and asked about the school bus route is still waiting to hear back.

How buyers decide

How educational institutions are chosen.

For schools and pre-schools, the parent decides, not the child. They search by locality and board, read reviews left by other parents, and shortlist two or three institutions to visit before choosing. A missed call to the admissions office or a slow reply to a WhatsApp enquiry during this short window often means the parent has already booked a slot elsewhere.

For coaching institutes, the decision leans on faculty names and past results stated honestly, along with word of mouth from students who cleared the exam. For colleges and vocational institutes, affiliation, placement record and fee clarity matter more than a single advertisement. A prospectus that answers these questions without a phone call earns the first shortlist spot.

The problem

What usually goes wrong for educational institutions.

What owners tell us on the first call, in their words.

  • “Enquiries arrive and nobody owns the follow-up”

A parent calls during the admissions rush, is told someone will call back, and nobody does before the parent visits a competing school.

  • “The reviews are old or missing”

A school with forty reviews from three years ago and no recent replies reads, to a parent scrolling on a phone, as one that has stopped caring.

  • “The website does not answer the parent's real question”

Fees, board affiliation, transport routes and the next open house date are buried or missing, so the parent calls to ask what the page should have already said.

  • “We don't know which channel actually brought the admission”

Flyers, boards and social posts all run during the season, but nobody asks a parent how they heard of the school, so the same budget gets spent again unchanged.

  • “A waitlisted parent hears nothing when a seat opens”

The seat frees up midway through the season and nobody calls the family on the list, so they have already paid a deposit elsewhere.

  • “Our coaching results are not shown anywhere a parent can check”

A parent comparing institutes cannot find which faculty taught last year's batch, so word of mouth decides instead of the website.

  • “Every branch quotes a different fee on the phone”

A family calling two branches of the same chain hears two different numbers, and starts to doubt both answers.

What we do

What we do for educational institutions.

Everything included for educational institutions, and the result each part is there to produce.

  1. Admissions enquiry follow-up system

Every phone call, WhatsApp message and walk-in logged in one place and tracked until it becomes an admission or a clear loss.

Result: No enquiry from the admissions rush gets forgotten.

  2. Google Business Profile setup for admissions

Categories, service area, board affiliation and admission dates kept current so the profile matches what a parent is actually searching for.

Result: A parent searching by board and locality finds your profile.

  3. Admissions pages answering fees and transport

A clear page stating fees, board affiliation, transport routes and the next open house date, so a parent does not need to call and ask.

Result: A parent gets the answer without waiting for a callback.

  4. Review request routine for parents

A simple ask for a Google review timed to orientation or a campus visit, when a parent's impression of the school is freshest.

Result: A parent scrolling reviews sees recent, genuine feedback.

  5. Waitlist and referral tracking in one record

Waitlisted families and sibling or parent referrals tracked in the same system as new enquiries, instead of a separate notebook.

Result: A waitlisted family is called the moment a seat opens.

  6. Admissions-season search and social promotion

Search and social promotion timed to your admissions window and board-specific searches, instead of running thin across the whole year.

Result: Enquiries arrive during the weeks parents are deciding, not after enrolling elsewhere.

  7. Shared enquiry script across every branch

One script for fee, board, transport and follow-up questions, used by every branch so a parent hears the same answer.

Result: A parent calling any branch gets a consistent, clear answer.

  8. Enquiry and admissions report against the baseline

Enquiries by source and branch, reply time and conversion to admission, checked against the baseline recorded before work starts.

Result: You know which channel and branch to invest in next admissions cycle.

How the result is measured

  • Enquiries by source during the admissions window
  • Reply time to a new enquiry
  • Campus tour bookings and show-up rate
  • Enquiries that became admissions
  • New reviews per month and reply rate
  • Referral admissions from existing parents

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Priority campaigns

Campaigns for what educational institutions most want to sell.

Each one planned around when your buyers decide, and measured against the baseline.

  • Admissions-season enquiry campaign

We plan local search, Business Profile updates and social promotion timed to your admissions window, so a parent sees the school while still comparing.

Result: A comparing parent sees the school in the weeks that matter.

  • Campus tour and open-house campaign

We promote your open house dates on search, WhatsApp and social in the weeks before the event, and follow up with anyone who registers.

Result: A registered parent gets a reminder instead of forgetting the date.

  • Coaching result-season enrolment campaign

We time content and search visibility to exam result dates, when a student is actively comparing institutes by faculty and past batches.

Result: A student comparing institutes right after results finds yours.

  • Higher-education admission campaign

We build pages on affiliation, placement record and fee clarity, and run promotion timed to college admission cycles and entrance exam calendars.

Result: A student comparing colleges finds the answers before calling.

  • Parent referral campaign

We set up a referral ask timed to a parent's own renewal, tracked separately so a referred family gets a quick follow-up.

Result: A referred family is followed up as fast as a direct enquiry.

  • Skill-development course campaign

We build course pages naming the specific skill and batch schedule, and run search and social promotion timed to the start of new batches.

Result: A student searching for a specific skill finds a course built for it.

Beyond search

Where we reach buyers of educational institutions, beyond Google.

Search matters, but it is rarely the only way this industry's buyers find a supplier.

  • School and education fairs

We prepare a brochure, banner and enquiry capture sheet for a fair your school or institute attends, and follow up with every visitor afterward.

  • Resident welfare associations near the campus

We build a shortlist of RWAs in your catchment area and prepare an outreach flyer that a board or committee can share with residents.

  • Alumni and past-parent referral networks

We set up a referral ask and a tracking sheet for the alumni or past-parent network most schools and institutes already have but rarely use.

  • Career counsellors and admission consultants

We prepare a one-page profile and current fee sheet that an independent counsellor can hand to a family comparing colleges or vocational courses.

  • Parent and neighbourhood WhatsApp groups

We prepare a share-ready message and enquiry link for the parent and neighbourhood groups where school and institute recommendations already circulate.

  • State board schools
  • Coaching institutes for competitive exams
  • Degree colleges
  • Vocational and skill-training institutes

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the work runs for educational institutions

  1. 1

    Assess

We look at your Google Business Profile, your reply time on calls and WhatsApp during the last admissions window, your reviews, and where enquiries dropped off.

  2. 2

Fix the profile and the reply

Google Business Profile completed for the correct locality and board, a same-day reply routine the admissions desk can follow, and a record of every enquiry.

  3. 3

    Build the admissions pages

A clear page for fees, board affiliation, transport and the next open house, written for the questions a parent actually types.

  4. 4

Bring enquiries in during the window

Local search, genuine parent reviews, and advertising timed to the weeks before your admission deadline, not spread thin across the year.

  5. 5

Keep the seat and the referral

A welcome sequence for new admissions, a referral ask at the right moment, and a record you can use to plan next year's window.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Engagement options

Ways to work with us.

Pick the size of commitment that fits. Every option starts with your brief and a conversation.

  1. Option 1

    The conversation on its own

A call after you send your brief. It says honestly whether you need outside help, and many fixes are ones your own team can make.

  2. Option 2

    One fix, scoped

Start with the fix that matters most, such as reply time or follow-up. The fee is in writing before anything starts.

  3. Option 3

    An ongoing programme

We run the work, report against the baseline, and you renew on the numbers. The term and the reporting are agreed in writing first.

  4. Option 4

Guidance for your own team or agency

We plan, brief and check the work of your in-house team or current agency, instead of replacing them.

FAQ

Questions educational institutions ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

How soon would admissions enquiries pick up?
Fixing your reply time and Google Business Profile helps within the current admissions window, because the searches are already happening. Ranking for a search such as CBSE school near a locality takes longer, often a full admissions cycle.
Do we need to advertise?
A faster reply and a complete profile cost nothing in media, and a parent is already searching by board and locality before any advertisement runs. Advertising makes sense closer to the admission deadline, when a specific number of seats still needs to be filled.
Is it appropriate to use children's photos in our marketing?
Only with the parental consent your school already collects for photography. We use images and videos the school has cleared for that purpose, and avoid naming or identifying a child without it.
Can we advertise our coaching results and toppers?
Yes, factually. Consumer protection guidelines issued for coaching centres in 2024 expect the student's written consent, and an honest statement of which course the topper actually took. We never imply every student gets that result.
How do we handle the flood of calls during the admissions rush?
We cannot add staff to your front office. We can set up saved WhatsApp replies for the questions parents ask most, such as fees and bus routes. A callback log then means a missed call is not a lost enquiry.
We run several branches. Can you keep our messaging consistent across them?
Yes. Every branch works from the same fee sheet and enquiry script, and logs calls in one shared record. A parent who rings two branches then hears the same fee twice.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
To start, last month's enquiries in any format and time with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM.
