Engineering colleges · Social media

Show the lab where a branch is taught, and let parents see it.

Social media marketing for an engineering college is the use of Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn and Facebook to show departments, projects and campus life to students and parents. GullySales plans what each platform carries, with consent from the students and faculty shown.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What social media means

Social media is the ongoing posting your business does on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn to stay visible to customers and prospects between purchases. GullySales plans a posting calendar, writes captions and designs the images so the page looks active and answers what a visitor would ask.

For engineering colleges

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Students watch, parents forward”

A student finds a department film on Instagram or YouTube. The parent sees it only when it arrives in a family WhatsApp group, so the post must make sense without the college's logo around it.

  • “The same feed serves recruiters and applicants”

A recruiter scrolling LinkedIn looks for projects and student work. An applicant on Instagram looks for hostel rooms and festivals. One voice for both fits neither.

  • “Student faces need consent”

A cheerful clip of a final-year team is useful only if the students and the college agreed to its use. Without a record, a removal request becomes an emergency.

  • “Toppers posters say little”

A poster of names and a package tells a parent nothing about their own child's branch. A post that shows the project behind the offer answers a real question.

What we do

What we deliver for engineering colleges.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. Platform plan for each audience

A short plan stating what YouTube, Instagram, LinkedIn and Facebook carry for applicants, parents, alumni and recruiters.

Result: Each platform has a stated audience and purpose.

  2. Department showcase posts

Posts and short films from labs, workshops and student projects, one set for each branch.

Result: Each branch has material that shows its work.

  3. A consent register

A record of who appeared in which post, who agreed and for what use, kept with the media team.

Result: Any post can be traced to a signed permission.

  4. Comment and message handling guide

Saved answers for questions about fees, quota and cut-offs, with a rule that sends fee and seat questions to the admissions desk.

Result: Questions in comments are answered the same way each time.

  5. Paid post set-up

Campaigns on Meta platforms aimed at rank bands, regions and branches, ending on a branch page.

Result: Each paid post leads to a page for the branch it names.

How the result is measured

  • Posts published
  • Engagement rate
  • Enquiries from social profiles

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Who it is for

This is written for these engineering colleges.

  • Private engineering colleges admitting through state counselling
  • Autonomous engineering colleges with their own curricula
  • Colleges affiliated to a technological university
  • Colleges offering management and NRI quota seats
  • Women's engineering colleges
  • Colleges with strong computer science and AI branches
  • Colleges with core branches such as civil and mechanical
  • Polytechnic-linked colleges taking lateral entry students

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the social media work runs

  1. 1

    Understand your audience and platforms

We identify which platforms your specific buyers actually use and what kind of content they respond to.

  2. 2

    Audit current presence

We review existing pages, past content performance and any gaps in consistency.

  3. 3

    Build the content calendar

A plan is created, balancing genuine value with occasional direct offers.

  4. 4

    Implement and post

Content is created and published consistently on the agreed schedule.

  5. 5

    Measure and optimise

We track enquiries alongside engagement and adjust the content mix based on what actually performs.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

Your brief

Eight short steps about your business, what you want and who decides. Most questions are a tap, and you can skip any you would rather answer on the call.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Which platform should the college start with?
Start where the families already watch. Look at where current enquiries say they saw the college, then pick one or two platforms and do them properly before adding more.
Can the students run the account?
Students can contribute, but the college stays responsible for what is published. Keep a faculty approver and a consent record, and check the platform's current rules on content involving minors and students.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
