Online education and EdTech companies · Search engine optimisation

Be the course page a learner finds when they search for the skill or the exam.

SEO for an EdTech company means building a page for each course, exam and board so that a learner or parent searching for it finds your answer first. Aggregators and rival platforms already hold most of the first page. GullySales picks the searches your batches can win and builds the page for each.

Scope, fee, reporting and term are agreed in writing after we have read your brief and spoken to you.

What search engine optimisation means

Search engine optimisation (SEO) is the work of getting your website to appear when a buyer searches Google for what you sell. GullySales builds pages around real search terms, fixes technical issues that block ranking, and tracks which searches actually bring enquiries.

Last updated 11 Oct 2026. Rules for this trade differ by state and professional body, and they change. We describe restrictions in general terms, so check the current position with your own council or adviser before you publish anything.

For online education and EdTech companies

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • “Aggregators take the comparison searches”

A search for the best data analytics course shows listing sites and rival ads first. Your own page needs something an aggregator cannot say, such as your actual syllabus and instructor.

  • “One catalogue page for forty courses”

A single courses page cannot rank for every exam and skill. Each course needs a page with its own fee, schedule and demo link.

  • “Free lessons rank but nobody enrols”

A lesson video that answers a chapter doubt brings views from students who never come further. The page around it has to lead to a demo class.

What we do

What we deliver for online education and EdTech companies.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A search map by course and exam

A list of the searches a learner or parent types for each course, grouped by where they are in the decision, with the page that should answer each.

Result: Every course has a clear job and a clear page.

  2. Course pages with syllabus and instructor

A page per course with the syllabus, class timings, recording policy, instructor profile and a plain fee and instalment section.

Result: A parent can judge the course without calling first.

  3. Exam and board pages

Pages for each exam, class and board you teach, written for the parent or aspirant who types that exact phrase.

Result: A search for your exam batch reaches a page that matches it.

  4. A fee and refund explanation page

A page in plain language on what the fee covers, how instalments work and what the refund terms are.

Result: The fee question is answered before the counsellor call.

  5. Technical and speed review

A check of how the course pages load on a mobile connection, how the demo form works and whether the pages can be read by search engines.

Result: A parent on a phone in a small town can use the page.

  6. Search reporting tied to demo bookings

Demo bookings and enrolments traced back to the search page that started them, against your baseline.

Result: You see which pages bring paid students, not just visitors.

How the result is measured

  • Ranking positions
  • Organic traffic
  • Enquiries from organic search

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, so every later report has an honest comparison.

Searches your buyers type

Match each search a learner types to one page that answers it.

The wording below is typical. Check it against your own search console data and the questions your counsellors hear on calls.

Data analytics course for working professionals
Give this its own course page with the weekend schedule, tools taught and recording policy. A professional wants to know if it fits a job before reading the syllabus.
NEET online coaching for droppers
Build one page per exam and learner type, with batch timings and the demo test. Do not merge droppers and Class 12 students into one page, their questions differ.
Class 10 maths online tuition CBSE
Name the board and class in the page title and describe how doubts are solved. Parents search by board, so use the board's name as a matching term and not as a claim.
Course fees and EMI
Publish the fee structure and instalment steps on a page that a search can reach. If you hide the fee behind a form, a rival page with fees will take that search.
Your brand name reviews
Search your name and the word reviews yourself. Decide which pages should show up, such as your Google listing and a page on how you handle refunds, and build whatever is missing.
Course A versus course B
Write a plain comparison between your two courses or against a free alternative. Be honest about who each suits. A learner who feels informed books the demo.

How it works

From your first message to the first report.

No open-ended retainer. Every step gives you something in writing.

  1. First

    Your brief

You tell us what you need in a few short steps: your business, what you want, where enquiries come from and how they are handled.

  2. After the brief

A conversation and a written scope

We read it, then talk with whoever handles your enquiries. If you want our help, the scope, the fee and the reporting come in writing, and nothing starts before you have read them.

  3. Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

The numbers this work is meant to move, such as enquiries, quotations, orders, visits or renewals, written down so every later report has an honest comparison.

  4. After the baseline

    The first fix goes live

The fix we agreed to start with is put in place and measured against the baseline, whether that is a reply, a follow-up, a page, a listing or the handover between marketing and sales.

  5. As agreed

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words. How often you get it is set in writing before work starts.

  6. At renewal

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. The length is agreed in writing before anything starts.

How the search engine optimisation work runs

  1. 1

    Audit and baseline

We record where the site stands today: positions, traffic, technical faults and the enquiries search currently produces. Nothing starts until this number is written down.

  2. 2

    Decide what to rank for

We map the searches your buyers use, in your words and theirs, and pick the ones worth the effort for your margin and your capacity.

  3. 3

    Fix the foundations

Technical faults first, because the cheapest gains are usually there. Then the Business Profile and directory consistency.

  4. 4

    Build the pages

A page for each thing you do, written to answer the question it is searched for, with a clear next step at the end.

  5. 5

    Publish and earn mentions

Content goes out on the calendar. Links and mentions are earned from real relationships, not bought.

  6. 6

    Measure, report, adjust

At the interval agreed at the start we report what moved and what did not, and change the plan when the numbers say so.

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every later report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No guarantees we cannot keep

The term is agreed in writing and never a default twelve months. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

Should we write a page for every exam and skill?
Write a page for each course you can fill. A page for an exam you do not teach brings visits and no enrolments. Start with the batches that have open seats and add more as the record shows which pages bring demo bookings.
Is a blog worth it for an EdTech company?
A blog helps only when each post answers a question a learner types and leads to a course page. Free lessons and doubt-clearing posts bring students who may never pay, so decide which batches you want those readers to move into.
Can we copy the syllabus from a university or exam body?
Do not copy it. Copied text competes with its own source and gives you nothing a search engine values. Write the syllabus as you teach it, in your sequence, with your examples and the practice work learners do.
Who owns the website and its content?
You do. The domain, hosting account and content should be in your company's name, and we work inside accounts you control. Ask any agency, including us, to confirm this in writing before the work starts.
How much does it cost?
There is no price list, because the work differs by business. The fee is scoped after we have read your brief and spoken to you, and put in writing before anything starts, split into our time, your media spend and production.
How long is the contract?
The term is agreed in writing after we have spoken, along with the fee and the reporting. It is never a default twelve months, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
It depends on the trade, the channel and what is already in place. After we have read your brief and spoken to you, we say what we would expect to move first and how it will be measured against the baseline. Nothing here is guaranteed.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you speak to before anything starts. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
Your brief, and a conversation. After that, access to whatever this work touches, such as your website, your accounts or your enquiry record, and time with the people who handle your enquiries.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Everything is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. The term is in your written scope, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
