GullySales

Fabric shops and retailers · Branding

Your trade buyer needs a rate card, not a carry bag.

Branding for a cloth shop runs on two sides: the bill and the carry bag for a household buyer, and a shade card and rate card for the trade. GullySales prepares the trade side too, so the shop a tailor orders from looks like a supplier.

A sign-painter's bench: a shop sign on a low easel lettered as far as its last character, which is still only pencilled in, a mahl stick laid across the work, open tins of paint on the floor and a finished sign hanging from its iron bracket above

What branding means

Branding is what a customer remembers about your business beyond the product, including your name, colours, tone of voice and what you are known for locally. GullySales sets or corrects this once and applies it consistently across your website, signage and adverts so the business looks like one company everywhere.

For fabric shops and retailers

Where it usually goes wrong, and what we would do.

  • The carry bag goes home and stays in a cupboard

A printed bag carrying your name and the market travels round the neighbourhood for months and costs less than any hoarding.

  • A trade buyer wants a supplier, not a shop

A rate card, a shade card and a visiting card for thaan quantities tell a boutique you can be ordered from, which a bill book does not.

  • Your sample book is lent to somebody else's client

An interior designer carries your swatches into a flat you will never visit, and that folder is doing the selling without you.

What we do

What we deliver for fabric shops and retailers.

Every deliverable, what it covers for you, and the result it is there to produce. Nothing here is an extra.

  1. A shade card and a sample book

Swatches mounted with the fabric name, the width and a rate band, in enough copies for designers, stitching units and institutional buyers to keep one.

Result: Your cloth reaches rooms you never enter.

  2. A rate card and terms sheet for trade

Thaan rates, minimum quantities, credit terms and what a repeat lot means, written down once instead of quoted differently each time.

Result: A boutique can compare you properly.

  3. Bill, carry bag and board designed together

One name, one colour and one typeface across the bill book, the carry bag, the shop board and the lane sign.

Result: The shop reads as one business from the street.

  4. One name used on every channel

The same spelling on the board, the bill, the listings, the WhatsApp display name and the catalogue, with the market noted alongside.

Result: Buyers stop thinking there are two shops.

  5. Photographs of the counter and the racks

The shop as a buyer sees it walking in, shot clean and used on the listing, the catalogue cover and anything printed.

Result: A new buyer knows the shop before she arrives.

  6. A catalogue cover and contents that hold up

The printed and WhatsApp catalogue organised by fabric with the rate bands, so it can be forwarded without explanation.

Result: Your catalogue gets passed on by the buyer.

How the result is measured

  • Recognition in customer feedback
  • Consistency across channels
  • Repeat enquiries by name

Recorded as a baseline before work starts, then reported every month against it.

Not for

It is not the right fit if.

  • You want a guaranteed Google ranking or a guaranteed number of leads. Nobody honest can promise either.
  • You need enquiries by next week and have nobody to answer them.
  • You want posts and reach reported, not enquiries and orders.

How it works

From your first message to the first monthly report.

No open-ended retainer. Each step has a point in time and something you receive.

  1. 01 · Day 1

    Free audit call

45 minutes with whoever handles your enquiries: how they arrive, how fast they are answered, where they are lost.

  2. 02 · Within a few working days

    Written, scored report

Six areas scored, fixes ranked by return and cost. If you want our help, the scope and fee come with it, in writing.

  3. 03 · Before work starts

    Baseline recorded

Enquiries by source, reply time, conversion and cost per order, written down so every later month has an honest comparison.

  4. 04 · Month 1

    The first fix goes live

Usually the cheapest one on the report: reply time, a follow-up sequence or the marketing-to-sales handover.

  5. 05 · Every month

    Report against the baseline

What moved, what did not, and what changes next, in plain words.

  6. 06 · Month 3 to 6

    Renew on the numbers

The term ends and you decide whether to continue from the results. No twelve-month lock.

How the work runs for fabric shops and retailers

  1. 1

    Follow a week of enquiries

In the free audit we trace one week of calls, messages and walk-ins: who replied, how long it took, and which of them ever reached the counter.

  2. 2

    Photograph and list the stock

The running designs shot properly and organised by fabric, colour and rate band, so a question can be answered with one picture instead of a search.

  3. 3

Fix the reply and the quotation

Saved replies for the questions that repeat, and a follow-up date on every curtain and uniform quotation that leaves the shop.

  4. 4

    Bring the buyers in

Maps and local search for people looking nearby, an occasion calendar for the shop, and direct outreach to tailors, designers and institutions.

  5. 5

Keep the accounts and count the result

Reorder prompts for trade accounts, messages to past buyers before their occasion, and a monthly report set against the baseline recorded at the start.

Proof

What happened when owners fixed this.

Real clients, the work we did, and the result as it was recorded. Where no number was recorded, none is claimed.

All case studies
  • France Fox

    Situation
Eco claims are common enough in menswear that buyers discount them on sight. France Fox had a real production story and nowhere to set it out, which is the wrong way round.

    • Social designs and captions
    • Print for the launch

Why us

Why owners pick GullySales over an agency.

  • Marketing and sales, as one job

Most agencies stop at the enquiry. We also fix what happens after it: the reply, the follow-up, the quote and the CRM.

  • The person on the first call does the work

No account managers in between. You are never handed to someone you have not met.

  • A baseline before anything starts

Your numbers are written down on day one, so every monthly report compares against something honest.

  • The fee in writing, split three ways

Our time, your media spend and production on separate lines. You always see what goes to us.

  • No lock-in, no guarantees we cannot keep

Three to six months at a time. We never promise a ranking or a lead count, because nobody controls those.

  • One office, and we say so

Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru. We work across India by call and WhatsApp and travel when a session needs to be in person.

#257, 3rd floor, Sri Nanjundeshwara Complex, Nagarbhavi 8th Block, Outer Ring Road. How we work.

FAQ

Questions owners ask before they call.

Not here? More answers, or ask on WhatsApp.

We have traded under the same board for thirty years. Should we change it?
Almost certainly not the name. Make the board legible, put the fabrics you actually stock on it and match it to the bill and the listing. A known name on a clear board beats a new one nobody recognises.
Is a printed shade card worth the cost?
For trade and institutional buyers, yes, because they cannot decide from a screen. For household buyers the WhatsApp catalogue does the same work for nothing. Print the one a school committee will keep.
The shade looks different on a phone. How do we sell cloth on WhatsApp?
Shoot in daylight against a white sheet, never under a tube light, and put the weave and the width next to the photograph. Say plainly that the shade may read differently on a screen, and courier a cut sample to anyone buying in quantity. Buyers stop asking once they learn your pictures are honest.
Should we put a rate per metre online?
Put a band for each quality rather than a fixed figure, and keep thaan rates off the page. A shopper who sees a range walks in already knowing whether your shop suits her budget. The trade rate belongs in the quotation, not on the website.
How long is the contract?
Three to six months at a time. There is no twelve-month lock, and renewal is decided on the numbers against the baseline recorded at the start.
How soon will we see results?
Fixes to reply time, follow-up and your Google Business Profile usually show in weeks, because the enquiries already exist. Ads show in days once follow-up is ready. SEO and content take months. The audit tells you which applies to you.
Who will actually do the work?
The person you meet on the audit call. We work from one office in Nagarbhavi, Bengaluru, with no account managers in between.
What do you need from us?
For the audit, last month's enquiries in any format and 45 minutes with whoever handles them. After that, access to the accounts the work touches, such as the website, Google Business Profile or CRM, and time for the monthly review.
What if we are not happy with the work?
Tell us and the plan changes. Every month is reported against the baseline, so a number that is not moving is visible to both sides. Terms run three to six months at a time, and the refund and cancellation policy sets out the rest.
